| Yeah Denji isn't the protagonist right now. It's not hard to see that. Denji can be the protagonist again once this arc is over though. Also with how the story is developing he feels more like a deuteragonist than a side character in my opinion. |

It's not a surprise, it's just that some people still had expectations and hope for the manga after all the low content part 2 chapters. This is the "CHAINSAW MAN" manga still. I wouldn't mind if there was simply a different manga or spinoff with different name. Manga is still sold as the Chainsaw Man.Lots of mangas have story arcs where some side-characters get explored more and they temporarily become the main character. You don't know whether this is permanent or not, you're just being shamelessly arrogant. Also there's no explanation why the switch happened. Is it due to a general lack of character development throughout the manga? Would explain everything considering the fast pace and lack of detail about the world, lack of character development and many more issues the manga has. |

| Its been legitimately baffling that there were still people not getting that, like I fully get it for the first few chapters this could be just a prologue of sorts, but after so many chapters of only seeing things from her perspective with constant build up of her relationships it becomes more than obvious. By chapter 20 we had no idea what Part 1 had yet to offer us - most of us still believed it to be a cool edgy take on the devil hunting trope back then, me included. The themes that were developped, the philosophy behind all of it, everything this manga is about was still yet to be shown in its full light. And well, I for one as well as my different friend groups are all massively enjoying the ride on Part 2 so far. |

I will never make an account on twitter and the people that I bother to check in with were all chill about her being the protagonist of the second part. It was naïve of me to assume that that was how everyone else felt. I can understand someone thinking that Denji would still be the protagonist at first, but at this point, you've gotta see things for what they are. "Chainsaw Man" does do whatever it wants most of the time, so it switching protagonists isn't even so impossible to believe. I trust whatever Fujimoto has cooking up and think it's an intriguing choice to do so. Maybe I'm too used to this being a Jojo fan and all, but it's interesting to see the torch passed onto someone else. |

| I lost interest in the series once I found out part 2 was going to have a high school setting. Personally after having watch and read too many series with that setting with the exact same trops I am just burn out from that completely. |
