In the old days in Russian fandom, it was believed that if you can watch anime in the background, then it is definitely not worth your attention, as it does not hold your interest. But now, including by my example, I noticed that many people can simultaneously play some games, surf the Internet, or even discuss this anime on the forum in real time while watching anime. For example, this is what IMAS shared views looked like on a thematic subreddit. So what about you? |

| Playing Pokemon goes really well with watching subbed anime. Especially when you're just grinding xp. Also for me doing anki decks while watching laid back anime mixes well too. |

| I cant divide my attention. The most thing I do while watching anime is eating .-. I only multitask when I rewatch old anime, because I only want to remember the general plot and I dont have to focus that much (but at most it is just reading message or scrolling my phone). Some people multitask to get a lot of thing done at the same time. I, myself, prefer speeding the anime to 1.25x-2.00x if I have things to do (so I can focus on anime then focus on my task) |

| If I'm looking after the baby then I'll put on an easy to watch anime, atm that's InuYasha as I can walk in and out of the room and still follow what's going on generally. But generally speaking i like to focus on the anime I'm watching, what's the point of watching it otherwise. |

| It's possible. You're doing it wrong if that's how it normally goes though. "I am doing this other thing which doesn't require my full attention, may as well have some mediocre anime on at the same time" is the sensible thought process leading to it. But good anime deserves your full attention. |
| I can’t, for me it feels like I can’t focus on more than one thing at once or I will miss too much. I also just like to sit down and give whatever I’m watching my full attention. I do eat while I watch sometimes though. |

| You'll prob get to a point where you're unable to focus solely on watching anime. Sometimes I play obstacles or grinding games while watching, only dub though |
| It really depends on the task. If I'm doing something while watching anime, whatever the other thing I'm doing tends to take background to the anime. The anime is the thing that has my attention. Like, I'll watch while eating, something pretty much anybody can do. However, if I'm watching while gaming, it can only be while I'm doing something that needs < 10% of my attention, like grinding in an RPG or something mundane and boring like that. In that situation, the anime has pretty much all my attention. I've knocked out hours of grinding in many video games like that. However, I can't do stuff like read and watch anime at the same time, surf the web and watch anime at the same time, fuck about in a forum and watch anime at the same time, etc, etc, etc. If I'm doing two or more tasks that require 10~15% of my attention or more, one thing always ends up over taking every thing else. Hell, I can't even read 2 books or play two narrative driven games at the same time (and not simultaneously). |

| No. The most I can do is quickly looking at my phone for few seconds see if there's any notifications, for me it's pointless having on an anime ep just for background even if it's dubbed. Unless you count HeNTaI for... obvious reasons! |
