| I got an Oyasumi Punpun vibe when Bucky introduced themself but rather Bucky is an actual chicken externally, I really like this new girl Mitaka, she's just an unsociable fellow at high school who prefers studying than playing around, pretty much I'm looking forward to what her values are and will offer throughout the 2nd part. Also, the guts were quite graphic but it's to engage the whole direction supposedly. I couldn't take it seriously when the teacher and the class prez had a thing with each other but the whole paneling was neat and eerie too even Mitaka's eyeballs were creepy to look at and now she's inherited into a War Devil, also the Sayonara Eri paralleling out of her lol, would love to dive in more of her abilities because I was blown away when she literally used the teacher's head to slice up the class prez inherited form into sliced meat, well, in the end, the class prez and teacher had a happily ever after too in a twisted way possible, how cute and expected by Fujimoto. What is Mitaka seeking under Chainsaw Man? We'll wait and see! |
| Great to see CSM coming back with a bang. War Devil definitely seems like an interesting character, can't wait to see what her dynamic with Denji will be. Also, R.I.P. Bucky, you will be missed. As for what's next, I hope that characters like Kobeni and Yoshida come back and get some development; same goes for some of the future new characters. Overall, PEAK chapter, can't wait to see what's next. |

| The chapter was PEAK Fujimoto. We got an in-depth character analysis, ridiculous comedy, insane drama, and over-the-top gore and action. Feels GREAT to be back. 10/10. The War Devil is hot. I can't wait to see the other 3 horsemen. |

| Fujimoto's paneling is some of the best in the manga world. The way the reader's eyes flow from panel to panel feels so good. I also like how he uses more imagery and less dialogue to progress the story. It truly feels like watching a movie, reading every single one of his works. This chapter had amazing paneling as well. Also Fujimoto's art seems to have improved quite a lot. As for the chapter itself, I loved the new girl and am looking forward to her future dynamic with Denji. Her powers seem pretty cool as well. Overall I loved this chapter and am looking forward for more. |

| I think chapter 98 lays the groundwork for a potentially very interesting continuation to chainsaw man's original story run. Introducing what's essentially an antagonist of opportunity feels pretty fresh, but I'd hazard to guess whether this girl is actually going to be a potent antagonist. Being presented with someone that doesn't represent the status quo (that being the general public, fans of chainsaw man) is also a very interesting detail although I hope we do get to understand why she dislikes the chainsaw man persona. |
| RIP Bucky. Loved the new girl and the concept of her going after Chainsaw Man. This is going to be a fun ride. I think she'll end up liking Denji in the end but who knows? For now, it was a good happy ending to the chapter. |

| My friends, it is a pleasure discussing here with you again because we, are, back. Now I'm guessing all four horsemen of the apocalypse will have these same spiral eyes as both Makima (Conquest) and now Asa (War) have them. Famine and Pestilence when ? Fujimoto is definitely not a fanservice slave, he could have shown even a slight hint of kobeni, yoshida, kishibe and of course Denji but keeps the pacing and reveal slow with just a poster of chainsaw man at the end. In a single word, Kino. |

| To recap, the 4 horsemen of the apocalypse: Hunger/Famine, Death, War, Conquest. Makima (Control devil reborn as Nayuta) = Conquest. Mitaka (War devil through a contract making her either a fiend or hybrid) = War. In part 1, Makima stated that she wanted to get rid of Hunger and War; which means that Nayuta will most likely inherit this goal and actively work with Denji to fight against Mitaka. Add some primal fears to the mix and the possibility of bringing Power back from hell and this will be one for the ages. |
