Rabbits
I've had many, many rabbits throughout my life. My older sister had a brown (or was it black with a white spot?) one when we were young (I was too young to remember it though). Not sure what happened to it.
Fast forward a few years later and we have two white bunnies, one male and one female. My younger sister really loves animals, so naturally she spent the most time with them, petting them, feeding them, all the fun stuff. My younger brother on the other hand... he was (and still is) a shitlet. Just evil shit, it's all he's ever liked to do. He would pick them up and spin them in the air, push them down a small slide we had (lol), THROW THEM, he only liked to torture things. I remember one time he made the male bunny freaking scream. Like, fucking SCREAM. That aside, the bunnies have tried to have babies several times, but they never succeeded. The closest they got was building a nest in our shed and giving birth there... and leaving the babies there to just fucking die lol. Anyways, the male one was run over by a car and the female one ran away and never came back.
Then we had this very messy looking rabbit that some random girls gave to us, I think they called it "Dumper" or something. I think that one died or ran away.
The most recent bunny we had was an old, light brown one that our cousins gave to us in September 2020. This was a few weeks before we got our dog, but more on that later. The bunny suffered quite a bit with us, he was constantly on the lookout for our cat (more on him later) who wanted to kill him, and our dog who was only a month old and was always trying to play with him. Little dude died one morning in our backyard just days before New Year's. Turns out the dog had gotten him out of his cage somehow and chased him at dawn, and then just bit part of his ass off and left him there, intestines exposed and everything. Buried him the same day somewhere in our backyard.
Hamsters
I've had maybe one or two, I don't remember. Kept it in it's cage outside. Excellent idea, because we found it dead in our front yard one morning. Our neighbors in our old neighborhood had cats btw.
Cats
One summer evening in August 2018, my siblings and I were just having fun outside, when my sisters see a cat come into our backyard. We've always wanted a pet dog or cat, so they run to the kitchen, cut a water bottle in half and pour milk in it and feed the cat and pet it, too. They did this for several days until the cat basically became domesticated lol. It grew especially close to my little sister and one of our uncles. My uncle named him Toribio, after a cat from a random movie lol. Anyways, when we moved out in April 2020, we took him with us. He was gone the first few days, but then came back and stayed with us for the rest of the year, hunting down all the gophers, rabbits and birds that came his way. This cat didn't fuck around! Real fuckin' savage was he! He even had somewhat of a tiger-like pattern! Unfortunately, he just left us and never came back in early 2021. I guess our dog was getting on his nerves. Needless to say, my little sister got really sad :(
A little before Toribio left, our cousins gave us a pretty black cat. She was kind of a picky eater and she meowed a LOT, especially at night. Only a few days went by and she was already gone. I'm thinking Toribio must've gotten tired of her XD.
Earlier this year, our cousins (we have a lot of cousins) two black and white cats, I think people call their pattern "tuxedo". They were brother and sister, and they played a lot with each other :3 . The sister I'm assuming, probably died (I forgot to mention there's an eagle's nest next to our neighbor's backyard) and the brother stayed with us. We named him Sylvester. He's pretty similar to Toribio in the sense that he can hunt really well and isn't at home 80% of the time.
Only a few weeks later we got 3 cats given to us by our other cousins. One had a grey-ish tiger-like pattern and the other two were twins with the same fluffy dark brown fur. Anyways, you know the drill. Grey one just fucking left one day and one of the brown ones got severely injured and had to be put down. The other one is still with us and we named it Oso. He's really laid back and sleeps a lot, he lets us pet him a lot, too.
Dogs
We got our first dog when I was around 4 or 5-ish. Name was Gasparin or some shit. The first time I saw the dog he immediately came running after me and chased me halfway across the backyard until I got on our small play house. We sold the dog not long after because he was too crazy and almost bit me a few times.
In the summer of 2020, one of our relatives was living with us and she had a white chihuahua who loved to play, she was really hyper haha. She played a lot with our dog, who I'll talk about right now.
In early October 2020, we got our second and current dog, given to us by some cousins. He's a black dog with a white spot below his neck, and he's my favorite of all the pets we've had. Got him when he was only a few weeks old, could do nothing but crawl, drink milk and shit and piss. The first months were tough, he shit one time in the hallway at 2:00 am and I had to clean it up. To this day no one else but me knows about it. He cried a lot and would knock down whatever we put that was blocking our room so he could sleep with us. Now he's big and strong, we play ball almost every day and he likes to cuddle up and jump on us. He's such a good doggo. Name's Toro.
Birds
My older sister had a parrot or something once. She left the cage open and it flew away LOL. Last year she was in charge of taking care of one of our friend's birds, too. |
