That's uncertain yet. All we know is that the anime will air fall 2010.

Here's hoping for Madhouse + Death Note team to work on this.

I don't think it'll be as good as the manga. I can't see an anime talking about this (I didn't think that they'd do a manga about mangakas either). Well, after the delusion I had with 07 ghost, I think I'm gonna keep only reading!!!

The manga is so strait forward and boring... It follows the "we can win if we really really try" formula far to closely. The manga itself already feels too light-hearted, and rather rushed. I don't think an anime adaptation could do justice to, or improve Bakuman in any way.

Worried about fillers? I'm not. With any luck, the filler will just be episodes of Crow, Otters 11, Kiyoshi Knight, Trap etc.

Not enough material? Have you read the manga, seriously. They could easily produce two chapters for one episode, and we have 65 chaps atm. You do the math.

About the news, I'm excited. Been following the manga since the beginning. I wonder if the authors get their girls now.

I do read it..what makes me worried is filler not chapter..and did you read my last sentence "It's fall 2010" i'm trying to point out that there will be more material to work on

I was thinking about this and i was wondering how it would work.

A manga about manga seems ok because it's the same sort of material. But an anime based off a manga that's about manga seems a bit....hard to work with i guess.

But we'll see when it's released on how it works.

It's an anime adaptation of a manga drawn by two mangakas which is about two mangakas drawing a manga in the hopes of it getting made into an anime.

Brilliant.

Now the only question is what studio will work on it ? I just hope it's either MadHouse (not with chaos;head quality of course) or maybe A-1 Pictures.

Hope they cast good seiyuus and have a good director

this will probally one of those 25 episode series that will continue for more then one series. as in do one 25 episode series and come back when the manga has more chapters.

anyone else think they rushed it only because it was made by the Death Note guys?

Knew it was coming all along but was kinda hoping that it would be later rather than sooner..but they could just put in some filler of animated Otter 11, Hideout Door and others and no one would be complaining^^ at least not me.

Also, deleted pointless posts. If you have nothing original to contribute (simply quoting does not count), please just don't post.

The manga is a bit slow... so I will keep reading the manga and probably not watch the anime anyway.

if the cast on the vomic is still the same, then these are the CVs:

Moritaka Mashiro - Jun Fukuyama
Akito Takagi - Shinnosuke Tachibana
Miho Azuki - Minako Kotobuki
Nobuhiro Mashiro - Sakazume Takayuki
Miyuki Haruno - Hitomi Harada

I think they will be the same. (and if it's true, jun fukuyama will be being cast in two SJ animes as main characters; Nurarihyon no Mago too)

I know, right? I . . . I don't even know. I wonder what the filler material will look like, or if the manga-ka will correspond with the anime producers so the show doesn't overrun the manga.

not really, around 2 years is average for a manga to be turned into an anime, and with the way that this manga reads, they could easily stretch it into 1 chapter per episode.

anyways, Im wicked excited, Ive been following this manga since the beginning and it will be nice to see what the seiyuus sound like!

And that is precisely why this show will be awesome. They still have a year for new stuff, so I'm not really complaining. There will be enough content by the time they get there. And if there isn't, I'd love to see Otter 11 animated >_> Or a singular episode about a day in the life of Eiji. Actually, I think I'd cry with the second one due to greatness.
