A terrific director who might not be as impactful and striking with his works, but adapts content extremely well and brings the best out of those works into animated form.

Bakuman and Major are 2 franchises I have in my top 20 and his directing while not revolutionary, was subtly great. Nodame was also very good. And all three of them might be better than their manga counterparts for what Kasai worked on specifically so great job to him.

Fantastic work on Bakuman, even removed the two worst arc of the series and made for an even better overall story than the manga.

Really a masterful director. He might not have much artistic flare but his series have some of the best atmosphere and are extremely enjoyable. I dont know how he does it. Currently he is doing an amazing job with Amanchu!. This man is JC Staffs best.
