After the final game of his Seishuu team against the goal he set himself, Kaidou—the team he left to play against, Gorou has no feelings of remorse anymore. Again he decides to take a step forward and challenge himself.
Saying one more time good bye to Shimizu and his friends, he leaves for the USA, where he plans on competing in the Minor League.
This is where Season 4 starts, in a country that's foreign to him, a baseball style that's unknown to him and new friends and strong rivals who share the same love to the game as him. Accompany Gorou in his never-ending quest for new challenges.
Once again another great season of major has been made with another story to begin with. A well made anime with a little comedy and drama on it. You may look at this season as an appetizer like the 1st and 2nd season because of the story hanging at the end of it.
Most of the episodes are like a tale that gives some entertainment but the point is that some of them are an annoyance with the main plot that decreases the enjoyment of it.
Just like the first impression about it, I’m a bit upset that
the enjoyment of some of the episodes doesn’t connect with the main plot, a high - low feature. Another disappointment is that there are so many plots that ended up quickly without being shown step by step, but even though some of them gives a bit tension on the main character. As the story moves on, there's only a few positive on it, like the continuing development, motivation, faith and perseverance of the main character, and also for the new characters that comes in to the picture with a bit passion about the game and continues to fire up as it goes.
As this season, Shigeno, Goro improves as well. He burns up to a new level, though there's something missing about it. New and old characters also helps to add some good effects on the enjoyment of the season, characters that helps the main character to go smoothly, even though some of them didn’t show some superb skills.
The ending song is a bit catchy and easy to follow as the rhythm goes on but the opening song is the one that needs improvement though.
As this episode, it was a great anime but to think there’s something lacking and being spoil about the story, thus, some of the episodes give a great impact like the first five episodes that brings thought of continuing and finding out the ending of it. Therefore I'm quite happy that it contains some features that a great anime must have, as it forms a nice and deserving one.
A fine made anime that gives enough enjoyment and thrill, even though there are some episodes that I’m displeased. Characters, Sound, and a bit of story will make it as a nice anime to watch.
Watch the prequels to maximize the enjoyment and understanding about the story. Hope it helps =)
I have not seen many episodes since it just started but you can just tell its a anime not to be taken lightly. Straight away the similarities to the previous seasons are apparent and the quality is nothing but excelled.
The story brings you in straight away slowly relieving your expectations from the previous season. Goro arrives in America seeking entrance into the majors and the expected hardships of his journey are revealed. The progression seems adequately stable and it leaves you wanting more.
As long as it looks somewhat appealing and clearly distinguished I'm not really bothered by the art. However I can confidently say
that it is very acceptable.
The sound is not something very bothersome to me either as I watch it in subs but the Japanese voice characters are very good and professional. unfortunately I am not in a position to review the dubbing as I have not heard them.
The main character has already been build to a acceptable standards from the previous seasons but still somehow growth seems apparent . Experiences from seasons before are used to portray his opinions and interpretations on situations. There is also a new character that has been introduced and his developments on his character are steady. A vague description of his history is presented and it only makes you want to carry on watching so that you could find out. Overall the characters seem great so far and show great promise.
One thing I can say strongly is that I would bet my life on this being a enjoyable anime for me and anyone who liked the prequels. The same atmosphere of mystery within the future and tense characters is restored and it has a great start.
Overall I say if you had the time to complete the seasons before be sure to catch this one. it has even the potential to be better that all the prequels. If they introduce a new little romance like the previous one. This is without a doubt a must see.
YOU MUST WATCH THE PREQUELS BEFORE YOU WATCH THIS SEASON
The best sport anime i have ever seen.
The best seasons are in my opinion 2 and 4.
One reason is that they both have good openings.
I like fourth season because it has a complete change in characters and other good thing is that he's finally playing in some other country than Japan.
Season 2 well i don't really know how it is good apart from the opening.
