Ah, that's good to hear. Hopefully I'll like Hime then since Sochie was a great character all-in-all. I liked her development. Her VA does an excellent job too so hopefully the same's the case with Hime.
Yup, it's one of my favorite chibi images. Sochie just looks so adorable, and the Kapool waggling its arms like that is hilarious. Here's the original image:

And Max deserves to be on everyone's favorites list, as long as you don't take your eyes off the monitor, that is.

No problem.
Oh yeah, I guess Tomino did make some "happy" shows back in the day, like ZZ, and possibly Xabungle and Daitarn 3 (I think) if you will. But if Brain Powerd is similar to Turn A, then I think I could like it. I think one of the main characters, Hime, is voiced by the same person who did Sochie from Turn A? Are they similar characters?
Also, I got a new chibi profile picture just for you. :3

That's hardly a bad choice by any indicator. I hope that the first episode will be able to impress you with a certain sequence. You'll know what I mean when you get there. =3

Good luck on that. I couldn't handle the wait too well, it must be worse over there.
On animal crackers: I'll never see the Hyaku Shiki the same way ever again when I play it in any Gundam game.

I hear it's even getting screenings in Russia! The European fans had better get their share of movie screenings. It's an experience definitely not to be missed.
Animal crackers! Whodathunkit? :P

Indeed, the epic score floored me. I thought it was the best part of the movie.

Oh really? That sounds good then, I'll definitely check it out.
And I see...laptop problems can suck. Thankfully I haven't had any since summer. I read all of the manga on Mangafox, which has all the chapters from what I understand (including the epic final chapter). Here's the link:
http://www.mangafox.com/manga/mahou_shoujo_lyrical_nanoha_strikers_the_comics/
Also, about Brain Powerd, I think I remember you mentioning that it was very Tomino-like in the /m/ club. So it's not really as bad as people make it out to be? As I understand, it's the first of "happy Tomino"'s shows, so is the style somewhat similar to Turn A or King Gainer? I do love the OST. :3

I might check out Sunred. My toku/sentai knowledge isn't all too great, so I don't know if I'll get all the jokes or whatever.
I still need to start Brain Powerd though! Aaagh, school! I got Thanksgiving break coming up soon though. :P Btw, you get the chance to check out the StrikerS manga yet?

Got to aim high! One of my friends only just realised we need to wear stockings and suspenders for the HIMM cosplay...
Kitacon: Park Inn hotel, Northampton, from Friday 26th - Sunday 28th of March, 2010. http://www.kitacon.org/
Very very preliminary plans atm, but could be fun. :3

Nothing quite like a mascot showdown~
You should go for it! We're aiming to do this for the May Expo or perhaps Kitacon. I thought this guy did a pretty good job, at least on the upper body!

I certainly hope you enjoy Vandread, but I'm keeping the remote possibility of it having turned stale over the years open. :) I'll be waiting to hear your thoughts, especially whenever you get to the second season.

I just picked it up again. :D So in fact I have to be the yuri supplier of the group rather than the lolicon? I guess that works too~
Now I just have to find a Pochi.

You forgot about Kino's Journey. :P
You've watched so much more than I have that I'm feeling quite hard-pressed to give you a worthy recommendation that I can fully stand behind (except a certain spinoff, and a certain sequel). Probably you have a good eye for shows with such parameters?
But anyway, can I cheat with Vandread? It's my first anime that I didn't watch on TV, and I still hold it, and its sequel as the very best that Gonzo has ever come up with, even if I'm probably biased. Gotta caution that it probably has not aged very well due to its blatant usage of shounen mecha anime conventions though. All in all, the execution is still relatively good, and definitely enjoyable, as long as not much thinking is done.

That I will. When (not if) I get the time. Thought I'd let you know that I'm sufficiently impressed already. :P

I just watched the comparison video. Gintama has awesome meta-humour, judging by your explanation. Seitokai seems to be hanging out far, far behind it...
I must get back to watching it. I can't believe what I missed.
Not like episode 50 didn't tell me about it, though. :P
