Mo Dao Zu Shi and Link Click are quite good ... From what I have seen chinese anime usually have quite good animation but their storytelling sometimes for me is kinda off and a lot of them feel rushed don't know the reason

Just to clarify the word donghua, since I'll be saying it.

Anime ---> Japanese
Donghua ---> Chinese

The only ones I've seen so far are:

Mo Dao Zu Shi - My personal favorite. It is based on a Chinese novel. The donghua has three seasons in total (1st season - 15 eps., 2nd season - 8 eps,. 3rd season - 12 eps.)

A Mortal's Journey: The Beginning - I quite enjoyed this one. The art is a 3D type of animation. So it was a first for me to watch of this kind and got used to it the more I watched it. There's more than one season I believe. I only watched the first one though.

The King's Avatar - I personally didn't enjoy this one, but a lot of people have. So I might as well recommend it in case if it's your cup of tea.

Link Click - I still haven't completed watching it, but it's really popular and a lot of people seem to enjoy it.

From the amount I've seen, especially some clips here and there from several other series, a lot of donghua have really great art. So it's satisfying to watch when it's done right. There's some that have the animation art style anime uses, but there's also donghua where they use 3D art. I've only seen one series that uses that (from the one I've mentioned above). It just all comes down to the story. And yes, it's a new feeling hearing the Chinese dubbing but you'll soon get used to it like you and a lot of people have with Japanese dubbing. I personally love to hear the Chinese voice lines as I've grown used to it haha

japanese is a bad enough mess of a language but i can handle that, what i can't handle is sitting there listening to the MOST outdated way of making noises (cuz chinese shouldn't be called a language)

Is it OK to admit to that kinda thing? Cue, nervous laughter. Yeah, I thought Big Fish and Begonia was really beautiful and had a timeless, magical Ghibli-Esq vibe about it. It had a quality English dub, as well, with Stephanie Sheh as the female lead and Johnny Yong Bosch as the male lead - which I think gives it a touch of Asian authenticity. I've also seen White Snake not the heavy metal band lol and although it lacked the overall majesty of Big Fish, the artwork and movements were still very beautiful. It was quite different from any anime I've seen. I'm just waiting for the sequel, Green Snake to be dubbed. Other than that, I've noticed Heaven Official's Blessing is now available in English dub, so that might be an option for me in the future. I'd like to see Mo Dao Zu Shi get dubbed because it's one of those where it's hard to focus on (and appreciate) the art and movements/action and read the subs at the same time. I've seen the first episode and it looks like something seriously high quality so I'm definitely intrigued.

1. Link Click : It's one of my favourite. It's a time travel centric suspence thriller anime.

2. Fog hill of five elements : Only 3 episodes short series. It's beautiful art style and fast paced action scenes really blows my mind.

3. Cristal sky of yesterday : In short it's Chinese 5cm per second.

4. Big fish and begonia : It's a beautiful movie. Currently it's in my top 10.

5. The legend of hai : Another outstanding movie.

"Have you watched Chinese Anime ?" - there is no such thing as chinese anime...better call those donghua.
"Chinese Sub" - how many people here can read chinese? (I guess many, but only certain percentage and they wouldn't need subs anyways, just listen to the original dub.)
"English Dub" - there is another chinese animation with english dub aside Scissor Seven?

Here some donghua I like:

Mo Dao Zu Shi / Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation
Cike Wu Liuqi / Scissor Seven
Doupo Cangqiong / Battle Through the Heavens (its visuals get better after season one)
Ling Long: Incarnation / Spirit Cage: Incarnation
Xing Hai Qishi / Knights on Debris
Arad: Reversal of Fate
Xian Wang de Richang Shenghuo / The Daily Life of the Immortal King
Da Wang Rao Ming / Spare Me, Great Lord
Min Diao Ju Yi Wen Lu / Bureau of Paranormal Investigation
Daomu Biji Zhi Qinling Shen Shu / The Buried Tree Devil
Kuiba The Movie - 1-2-3 + Kuiba Zhi Shu Tu
Lie Huo Jiao Chou / Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire
Qian Cong Shou / The Indomitable
Shi Zhi Ge: Hua Yu Yan De Kuangxiang Shi / Song of Time
Hong Huang / Rescue Eternal Desert
Ni Zhuan Ci Yuan: AI Jue Qi / Reversal Dimension: The Rise of AI
Shi Yi Chang An: Mingyue Jishi You / Memory of Chang'an
Moshi Juexing: Ruqin / The Invasion of Awakening
Shanhe Jian Xin / Thousand Autumns
Yong Sheng / Eternal Life
You Yao / Are You Ok
Jian Wang 3: Xia Gan Yi Dan Shen Jianxin / JX3: Chivalrous Hero Shen Jianxin
Shen Ming Zhi Zhou / The Totem Warrior
Shengsi Huifang

Jun You Yun / Word of Honor - still airing
Zanting! Rang Wo Cha Gonglue / Let Me Check the Walkthrough First - still airing

I've watched around 30 Chinese donghua and I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. My favorite so far is the Mo Dao Zu Shi series (which I've watched in both Chinese AND in Japanese dub... except the third season which I've only watched in Chinese as it hasn't yet been dubbed in Japanese yet).

Also, to clarify, Chinese animation are called 'donghua'. Also, wouldn't it be Chinese Dub because how many people can actually read Chinese which is what Sub is? Also, there are also donghua that are dubbed in Japanese (Mo Dao Zu Shi, Ling Qi, and Big Fish & Begonia to name a few).

No and I don't plan on adding it on here since it's Chinese, therefore not anime (gonna remove them from my ptw soon). I'll rate Chinese "anime" on IMDb instead. edit: there's a term for it, cool.

I won't rate donghua on here, this is an anime site after all.

I think the best chinese anime to get into the genre are:
Link click (well polished, small scope, extremely well done storytelling)
Kings Avatar(sports anime for the gamers, op mc, probably very similar to animes you've seen)

My favorties are Mo dao Zu shi and Scissor Seven but both have some issues that make them not the cleaner opener to donhuas
Mo dao zu shi-slow burn very different season to season
Scissor Seven: a lot of crude humor and is like gintama where theres a lot of not serious stuff then very serious stuff ( shorter episodes so moves fast)

Shows that I've enjoyed but not the biggest standouts (just pretty good)
Rakshasa Street
Heaven's Official Blessing
Fog of Five Elements

China is still rough but have made huge bangers so I would expect to see more and more from them as time goes

"How do you prefer chinese anime"

Dubbed into Japanese ;)
Which is super common btw, so I'm surprised it's not an option in the poll.

Honestly I used to be more particular about that, but nowadays I'm pretty used to Chinese dub and the insane sub speed that goes along with it, so I watch most in Chinese, even though I'm not a big fan of how the language sounds.

Donghua are a fun different flavour from regular anime, my only issue is the massive censorship/pre-decided direction the story is allowed to develop in. I had the same issue with Chinese TV dramas too, it's really pretty and fun at first and then you eventually realize it will just be the same exact thing again and again forever because the only thing getting through censorship are stories that follow the moral guidance intended.

Yeah, there's a lot of great Chinese shows. I'll say that I do agree with some of the comments above that the subtitles do move super quickly but you get used to that. Some of my favourites are:

Link Click
Mo Dao Zu Shi
The Legend of Hei
Tian Guan Ci Fu
Wei Kanjian Erduo La
Wan Sheng Jie
Wu Shan Wu Xing

Yes, i watched some. Swallowed star, that it's on a pause for the pandemic. The daily life of the immortal king it's okay too. I really liked Uncharted Walker, but the end of his only season is cliffhanger, so you need to search for the manga, if you can find it.
People that watch donghuas says that soul land it's a must see show.
