They added some badass music to this, very fitting for a penultimate episode.

I think the highlight of the episode isn't just the action but Yoh and Hao's complex relationship when they were conversing. After all the drama, this pretty much follows with their final encounter. Ren Tao, Horohoro, and others also got some of their moments to shine.

Only one more episode left!

I don't know what it was about the art direction in this specific episode, but I really liked it a lot. You can feel that smirk Hao gives off before killing everyone.

I think the finale is gonna be very love it or hate it.

RIP Silva

Rutherfor is a hot girl all along eh, her Alien looks is just her Armored Over Soul all along

so the whole Shaman Powers are Alien Technology eh

and Hao is now the Shaman King but our 5 heroes now also have the 5 Elemental Spirits as their new Over Souls

final episode next week

why couldn't they let yoh and aoh have debate about human life? it would have been so much better than random american, tragic british guy, werwolf, and ren just coming in and stoping a dope scene

These are the type of episodes I dislike the most, the ones where you're suppose to take at face value everything they say only for a few minutes later do a complete 180 in the mood or meaning. Like when after Silva's death they showed a goofy scene of Princess Hao, or that conversation about humanity followed by what I assume will be the final fight.

There's also the vague threat of "if you die here you'll die for real this time", yeah, like that will actually happen at this point with so many off screen resurrections. I'll also just ignore the whole scene with the aliens because at this point trying to analyse if it's consistent with everything that has been established is a lost cause.

7 more days and this ends.

Uhhhhhhhhhh okay? We basically had zero explanation on why Hao does what he does. I bet we are going to get a pathetic 3 minute backstory. lol

People were hyping that so much....

It was already explained when Hao finds Matamune. He basically hates humans because he can read all of their negative emotions. He hates how cowardly, petty and selfish humans can be. So he wants to create a world without humans, only shamans.

The 2nd last episode of the reboot series...just end this soon already.

The 9th Plant: the Glacier Plant, and it's master vs. student of Silva vs. Yoh, and this is one battle anticipated towards the final stretch, and that's a rush. The final Space Plant, and Rutherfor is the strongest Patch official there is, but nothing matters if the Shaman King is awakened, and indeed Hao has come alive to render all work lost.

Manta's commentary is basically just a running joke onto the floor. Princess Hao, nah.

Facing the Shaman King, it's a God entity where no one is able to fight back, resulting in total annihilation. The King's summon of not just Yoh, but the Five Warriors also, harnessing their Spirit powers to the max for the final call.

One more finale, and it'll all be over for this disastrous adaptation.

So this is it, huh? The show is coming to an end. We've reached the climax. Next week we get the final fight of the whole series, and Shaman King (2021) will end and finally become a complete adaptation of the manga, about 18 years after the manga ended. What a ride it's been.

It's kinda hilarious how the "origin story" is basically a plug for the ancient aliens theory! xD The little statues they show are also real, quite nice detailing there. And Mu isn't the creation of the mangaka either, btw, one can look that thing up. Funny as it all may be, the amount of real world stuff that is squeezed into this story is actually interesting.

oh yes, another episode that makes me feel like an idiot for not dropping this before episode 10 (then again, the only good episodes were the ones with Matamune, so i would have missed those)

there goes my score from 5 to 4 ...
guess 1 more episode might make it go down another point :D

good thing i can go watch shachiku little ghost right after this, otherwise my head would be filled with negative thoughts all day lol

favorite "new girls" from fall <3 (lol i only watched these) ... click sig for older seasons

I laugh every time they mention Princess Hao... LOL

But yea, the fights are very rushed cause they had to squeeze everything into 3 or 4 episodes...

(mostly cause the original series ended a couple of episodes ago and what we have are the "redone final chapters")

They kept most things from the original, so the end had to be shortened to make it fit.

Hao's motner was killed by humans. His real mother from 1000 years ago. them he obtained ability to read minds and lost himself in it. We will destroy pur own planet, we killing each other, we are the only ones that don't live our lives in the way we're supposed too. Hao wants to save our home. He gave up on everything for that. I see many comments about this anime, I do agree that this adaptation is bad, but they're talking shit about the story. You can say whatever you want, but there's no better story than this one. There's no better villain than Hao. those are facts. Your inability to understand this story is what makes you think its a trash. (I mean, not just you, all of you guys)

Well that's sad for Silva that was one of the best plant battles even though it still felt nothing more than fine... now it's alien stuff I don't understand much but okay, time for the final battle before the end

Silva battle was really rushed, but the moment hao awakened and sucked their souls. holy shit. it had so much FMAB ending vibes.

the animation and art was flawless as well.

if we will take out hao's princess story, and the aliens one, this was well made episode before the last.

Man, I am going to be very upset if the great spirit is actually defeated by the end of next episode, and just ended it right there...Like what the shamans have been fighting this whole time to obtain this God which is supposed to be all knowing and all powerful, but if this God can be defeated then mankind is doomed because it shows this God is not perfect... so shamans have been putting the wrong faith in this imperfect being. It would also make zero sense if the five elemental spirits came from the Great spirit then how the f is it even possible for it be defeated in the first place??
