LOL lmfao, no not really Just relax lol. I understand part of what you're saying, I'm not a manga reader either, but i guess we're from different generations. At least theyre taking the necessary time to focus on animation quality and source material faithfulness. If Attack on Titan was written 10 years earlier, it'd be inundated with literal useless filler, and probably it'd have been airing for 9 years straight by now lol. Other than that I mean I can help answer any of your actual plot questions. for sure yes, i really appreciate that this isnt overrun with filler episodes. the animation has also been amazing as well - if there's a really impressive scene with really great animation i sometimes rewatch it 2 or 3 times haha. i was actually thinking of that while ranting in my earlier post. i've read a bit about the problems with the anime industry (like underpaid and overworked staff) so i always feel bad & hypocritical for complaining, but this time i just really needed to get that off my chest i kind of have 2 problems which have really just been building up: 1) i have unintentionally been seeing countless spoilers for years now. on top of death spoilers (sasha's death, for one, was spoiled for me less than 24h after the chapter came out) and just general plot point spoilers, i also saw a spoiler for the ending with 0 context. i just want to hurry up and get past the spoilers i've seen. this is all on me though for not being careful enough online; 2) these final season parts being labelled as "parts" is driving me bananas. there are other shows i watch where i wait months/years between seasons, but thats bc theyre labelled as seasons. this being labelled as the "final season" is frustrating to me because i keep thinking its gonna end, then it doesnt. but i get what they're doing now, so if there ends up being a final season: part 4 (hopefully not though), i would understand thanks so much for offering to answer my questions! i'll be honest though, i need a detailed recap of everything after s1 (which is why i'm turning to the manga now). i do have one thing thats been bugging me if you could help me out: i don't understand anything about floch. like who was he? what exactly was he doing? for lack of a better term, was he a bad/evil guy? [deleted] I wrote a detailed review of Attack on Titan that really goes into some nuanced detail about what's going on. I've also had lots of key plot points spoilered from the beginning including that Reiner and Bertholdt were the Colossal and Armoured titans. Anddddddd I also saw some shocking spoilers for how AoT ends, but surprisingly its never affected my overall enjoyment or how immersed i am. Re: Floch He's the new recruit from the 104th Survey Corps that joins Levi's squad alongside Marlo (KIA) in S3 and S3 Pt 2. He's actually the coward from Levi's squad that's petrified of dying when Erwin is leading them to their deaths. He's the catalyst of Erwins infamous speech about their deaths not being in vein, and trusting their hopes dreams and goals to the soldiers that will come after them. I think what makes Floch such an amazing character is that he really is a product of his experiences. He accepted fate and rode towards Beast Titan Zeke fully expecting to die, but he survived. That survival gave him a purpose in life he was seeking. To protect those around him. If you remember Floch was staunchly against reviving Armin over Erwin, believing that only Erwin could lead Humanity to victory. MAPPA totally nailed the final scene with the alliance's navy getting destroyed and the soldiers trying their best to kill the collosal titans. It's so nostalgic to hear the music used from season 1 and Eren saying the same lines from when Shinganshima got overrunned. 10/10 final episode for this season (a solid 8.5-9/10). Kinda scared and sad for the final season (part 3 knowing), knowing what will happen next...peak AOT is over. |

That's why I was going to DM you directly, because I do think it's worth reading? But I wrote it so of course I'm biased lol. As for closing off DMS/Comments i think its probably better to have those open so as not to end up prolonging and flooding threads that really can be discussed privately? But of course do what you feel comfortable with lol. Maybe its better having comments blocked off anyway, that's how i got spoiled on the ending of Attack on Titan by one of those spoiler spam bots haha. And of course, no need to thank me, that's why I told you to just relax and breathe when I first read your post. I always love to discuss shows and even different viewpoints with people especially when they're honest actors and genuinely want to understand and have a proper discourse. Cheers- |

Mikasa wtf?! All these years and when you finally get the chance you family-zone him :'D Ice cream Mikasa was absolutely adorable though <3. The guys freaking out over all the new stuff was hilarious. Between this and what happened in the tent, it was great to see Sasha and the others having some dumb fun one more time. I love AoT's funny moments xD. That creepy clown who mistook Levi for a kid in a costume though lol. It's been a while but finally, we have some Historia. Woo-hoo! So Eren told his plan to Historia huh, I love the call-back to her "worst girl" when she saved Eren in the past. I really like their chemistry, I still remember Mikasa's death stare when she saw them chatting so friendly haha. And of course, they continue to keep the mystery of her pregnancy until the very end. They even mixed her suggestion of having a child between Zeke and Eren's discussion about Mikasa's feelings.... Come on, that child can't be from a random farmer. I've always thought it's Eren's but they keep it more and more intriguing. Oh, and he also told about his plan to Floch. The bastard wasn't actually lying lol. I guess it makes sense, between not involving his friends and finding someone crazy enough to go along with his plan, he's the guy. Silly me thinking that the titans would be slowly advancing on the bottom of the ocean or something but no, they can just swim really fast. That was weirdly hilarious. What came next was really terrifying though. What a season finale! And what can I say, I just love this show. The thing is, right now, it's at a point where I'm afraid of how it's going to end. Oh well, for now, looking forward to that conclusion arc.... Man, they really screwed themselves by calling the new season "The Final Season", now years go by and they're stuck with it. At least I'm happy they didn't make a movie for the finale. |

The first half (Omitting the melancholic Mikasa soliloquy) had an impressive vibe going on. The second half was kind of predictable and over the top, but the titans actually provided the shock and atmosphere that it was built from the whole season, so props for that tension release. I hope the animation of whatever comes next is better though, most of the season was rough |

This is the first episode of this season that I did not watch it in the first released day. I just noticed the news that there would be another part, final session part 3, which made me felt so disappointed with Mappa. They've announced the final season for 2 years ago and now we will get three years of waiting again. I thought some people probably wouldn't wait but read the manga. Overall in this season, everything is great and I like "Two Brothers" the most and every single episode was well made. Pictures, sounding, timeline, story, character development and enjoyment were sorely epic and etched in my mind. I hope Mappa would does such a legendary work next year and I will support even my disappointment still go berserk but maybe I watch this all over again. Thanks for auspicious winter season! |

It's interesting to see that Eren had more trust in Floch and Historia than he did in Mikasa and Armin. This season started strong and went downhill after the creation of Alliance. As we saw Eldians are treated like devils and universally hated by the rest of the world and blamed for the sins of their ancestors, which makes Alliance logic even worse. It's obvious if Eren didn't do what he did the rest of the world would genocide Eldia. Alliance not only has no plan to stop that but is actively helping Marley achieve their goal which makes no sense. It's gross how anime tries really hard to portray them as some kind of heroes while they are betraying and killing their friends without any remorse and dooming their people in the process. Hopefully we will get an anime original ending. dude u really to think good on how even rumbling doesn't guarantee anything and how alliance is not killing their people when they attacked them first. They didnt have any plan cause they thought they would stop it before it reaches Marley but now that its doomed stopping rumbling will greatly benefit paradis Marely and the rest of the world already wanted to genocide Eldians even before rumbling, rumbling only reassure them that their decision was correct. And after Eren is stopped there is noting standing in a way between them and their plan of wiping Eldia from the map so I have no idea how would this benefit the paradise. Alliance has no plan of preventing Eldian genocide so they choosing to side with the people that hate them and want them dead over their own friends and families makes no sense whatsoever. marley is already dead, the strongest nation, paradis has demonstrated its strength no one will attack paradis unless they want to commit suicide. alliance is the new tybur of this era. its easy to understand. survey corps rarely had any plan, they made it later it didnt stop erwin lol what? you could easily see when the walls broke, that Armin said "if all Eren wants to destroy is Marley, then there was no need for all these titans" which obviously meant Eren wasn't planning to stop on Marley, and that's why they decided to try to stop it They planned to do the 50 year plan which will destroy marley's military etc thats what they agreed on not kill everyone in Marley so I think u just said what I did |

Considering we were already given examples on how delusional she is about Eren But i urge you to reconsider your position. Perhaps you read this series wrong, perhaps Mikasa was the main protagonist all along, and she is right about everything she ever said about him. Lmao, you are having too much fun aren't you? |

A fitting end for the series, loved everything about it. The meeting proved that the outside eldians also hated the Paradis islanders, then... there is no escape from their fates. Eren keeps destroying the walls while Historia lives with no worries in Paradis, everything is settled, the alliance was destroyed, now onto the mainland to kill all animals. For people who don't know, episodes 81-86 are fillers to set up the sequel that'll come in 2023, the alliance died or remained on the island after Eren's speech, that is canon. 10/10 masterpiece |

Ends very strong! Eren is truly wiping out the world now. 7/10 for this season. Started off very strong but tripped up from the middle to the penultimate episode. Honestly I think the story should have just ended with Eren wiping out humanity a couple of episodes after 1-upping Zeke in the Paths. |

I didn't expect to see a flashback in the last episode, I thought Sasha was Gabi for a few minutes. The general problem with this season was that previous events happened long ago and I couldn't remember it all and rewatching everything wasn't very high on my agenda. I'm also not the biggest fanboy of AoT. |

As an Eremin shipper the Eren and Mikasa interactions wasn’t the highlight but I loved the backstory. And the reason is that I see them more as siblings than a couple. But the ending was disappointing. It will probably become better when the new season or movie (not trying to look too much into it cause I’m afraid of spoilers) comes out But my favorite season is still season 3 part 2 |

Damn Mikasa family-zoned Eren. That ocean must be absolutely massive if that many Colossal Titans can swim around with quite a lot of space between them. Also I have to admit I was surprised to see them just....swim. I was expecting them to you know, walk on the bottom of the ocean but I guess it makes sense that they'd swim huh Attack titan probably my favorite titan design now. Looks so cool. 2023 huh... As an anime only AoT fan I'm used to waiting but was still hoping we'd finish this up in 2022. Oh well what's one more year. |

Interesting to mixed up way past story into the latest present event with that goddang massive founding titan and swimming colossal titans. I feel like they highlight Sasha more, instead of Mikasa and her mixed up feeling toward Eren. But still, an okay decision to put the last episode onto this kind of thing, even without the additional oped to show how determine they are... I am gonna miss this a lot not because of the greatness of the story, honestly, but purely because i want to get the ending animated already. But oh well, ever since i decide to hold watching this from 2021, since spoiler spread like crazy back there, and then decide to continue on this year, but its still not the end. I feel like i am getting betrayed here xd. But i think its alright. A fine plan from all people in charges, and lets just wait for another year again, okay? Yeah, that's it alright.... |

How to get hype for part 3 ! That ending, chills, so terrifying, specially Eren, and the OG music too omg \o/ I still dont know how the colossal titans can swim that fast '-' For the start, I read it and still forgot that was a flashback and not a dream or whatever, because of Eren and Sasha being here, so it was long time ago ! The first half of this episode was really sweet. Seeing he whole crew together on a disguised trip to Marley. I myself know too well how Mikasa feels atm and why she's asking herself all these questions, like "when did things go wrong?" or "could I have done anything different?" Eren definitely changed, but the initial trigger for his immense hate towards the titans was the death of his mother. And the more he learned about the world, the more he also began to understand why he has end this cycle once for all, even if it means committing genocide. Anyways, I really enjoyed the part where the whole crew was enjoying themself by discovering all these strange things, like the car, ice cream or later on where all of them were drinking together. It kinda felt like a rarely peaceful moment. Sugita Tomokazu as creepy clown. I don't blame Levi for his reaction :D When Eren was asking Mikasa why she's caring so much for him or what he's for her hit me hard in my feelings, because I know how it is to be in Mikasas position. You like or even love someone, but it's one-sided and even knowing it yourself, you don't want to see the truth. With the time you're just broken inside, that's also why she asking herself what she could've done better, even if it isn't her fault :( Still interesting to see all the different conversations Eren had and which we haven't seen so far. I knew Historia would try to stop Eren, but at that point it was already too late. The saddest part about it is, Eren wants everyone of his friend and the people he knows to be happy, but he the way he took is worst possible one, in his eyes obviously the only way to end the cycle. Pretty disgusting when he was cutting his leg and rammed that bullet into his eye. But I was even more shocked when I saw all these giant titans swimming in the sea. My god their speed is unreal. Everything got completely wrecked and showed again, why the Rumbling is so devastating. And with his famous words from S1, which gave me chills, this season ends. What a ride. MAPPA did an amazing job. So many crazy moments and the story took another turn I quite didn't saw coming. I heard what comes next left a lot of manga readers with a bad taste in their mouth. I have a feeling, but I could be completely wrong. So hopefully I won't get spoiled till 2023 to see where the story will lead to. |

It actually wasn't too late. Now this is one thing i noticed the community do, the manga community was the same, they give her a pass, and i mean people on the side of the alliance. Not only she didn't try to actually stop him, not only she didn't tell anyone about it, and kept it a secret like he asked her to, but she also actively helped with his plan. She is nearly as complicit in his plan, as Floch is. Unlike Eren and Floch, she even gets away with it, which is hilarious |

Oh wow a flashback for the last episode of the season. The opening is titled 'Rumbling' but sure there is less rumbling throughout the whole season than flashbacks. This final season has been slow from the start, filled mostly with talks and explanations, and they blue-balled the viewers by giving anticlimactic ending almost every episode. 7/10 at best. Oh, and part 3 is coming out next year? Then this series can finally end? Thank god. AlMiraj said: Yeah they chose to finish the show as slowly as they're allowed to. And these fans will still say 'be grateful' and lick their boots and whatnot. Really when a show is this slow people are allowed to call it out. another part confirmed for final season(turtle pacing) money bag off mappa s4 is 5 for me when s3 is 8 Mod Edit: Posts have been merged. I can't praise this enough i mean the transition from manga to anime is just perfection the new art direction by mappa made it way much better offering an amazing dark atmosphere, despite the somewhat controversial upcoming ending this anime is a modern classic. |

And the scariest thing about this episode wasn't even the Titans destroying the fleet and marching on the land, it was that damn clown preying on Levi. |

Epic finale. I hope I am still alive before on 2023, considering real world rumbling is about to happen between NATO and Russia. Also, correct me if I am wrong. So Eren is the dad of Historia's child? And his farmer husband is just a 'decoy' so that Mikasa and the others wont go crazy? When they talk alone, its like they share a special bond. Not just as comrades, its more like a lover. I'm afraid to google it coz I might see some spoilers since I hadnt read the manga. Historia really did got pregnant. I wonder what she did to convince Eren to do it with her. Unfortunately, unlike his father who changed (or delay) his goal when Eren was born, Eren doesnt give a F if he has a child waiting for his safe return. If any, that may even convinced him more, thinking that if he reset the world it would make a better place for their child. Poor Historia. Only she would know the tragic of her child real dad, and the child will grow up believing his real dad is the farmer. 10/10. Epic anime as always. |

This is literally the last we see of that entire thing, the series never goes back to it. So there are no spoilers to be found there. However it is highly unlikely, because of things that are not directly related but do affect the possibility of it. Mainly: The ending makes it clear that Eren is madly in love with Mikasa One other thing to add is that anime actually cut some content that quite heavily hinting towards him being the father. Namely her lying about her due date And a panel with a hoodied person when she goes to the Farmer Indicating that even if there ever was an intention to make him the father. It is most probably has been reconsidered. |

I rewatches the anime scene where the MP talking about Historia getting pregnant and it even makes it more realistic that the farmer was just a 'fake dad' for Eren and Historia's convenience. Still, theres a lot of more think of than Historia's baby real dad lol. |

Season 3 Part 2 is still my favorite of this series but this was animated to make me like it more than when I read it in the manga at least. Caring more about what is happening to the people who are dying from the Rumbling which the manga failed to do so I give the anime credit. Not really looking forward to the finale given I really dislike how the manga ends but who knows maybe I can be convinced otherwise depending on how the adaptation goes. Most seem to love the story even more as it continues but got to admit I miss the simpler days of the Survey Corps killing titans. |
