| Sometimes I think that I won't like a certain anime as much as I did when I had less experience, due to my standards getting higher. Then, a rewatch or a new season manage to blow my mind: that's the best feeling I can get from anime as a medium and this definitely applies to Stone Ocean. The score is obviously inflated by die-hard fans, who'll naturally watch it and rate it 9-10 as soon as possible, whereas everyone else will take their time. But now I'm starting to think that there's a very strong possibility that Steel Ball Run will become the 2nd highest rated ever (FMAB is unbeatable, since it will have way more members than the 7th entry of another franchise). |

| I've seen Overlord and Owarimonogatari Season 2 take #1 spots on MAL so the rating for a 6th part of a beloved series being this high will calm down with time, should end up being a fairly high score and much higher than the manga though in the end like Golden Wind. |
| If part 6 is already like this, not even all bots and fakes of internet will prevent JoJo7 of take the top score of MAL by a large margin, like Berserk did on the manga ranking. |

| With the exception of Steel Ball Run, a fine dandy hell of a read, my stances on the Jojo franchise haven't been as positive as they used to be. Stone Ocean I wasn’t particularly a fan of when I read it, and I don’t think the anime will change it. Plus I heard the animation quality is pretty limited right now compared to the previous Jojo series. No, I don’t think the high score right now is warranted, but it was to be expected. |
