| I didnt enjoy a naruto episode like this for like 2 years. Amazing episode, with quite possible the best character. Really surprised his dead had that sharingan too. But was really disapointed, specially after reading the comments here, how they managed Izumi. Really need to read the light novel. |

T_T Same here, except that I'm really really heart-wrecked rather than satisfied. I already know what happens but it still gets me so hard. The scene with him and his parents will go down as one of the saddest things ever. So damn beautiful and so damn sad. |
| Watching Itachi's life story unfold made the build up to the massacre scene all the more profound. It felt like this is the closest I'll ever get to understanding the weight of Itachi's cross. It was especially disheartening to see Izumi praying for Itachi to rescue her. That scene with Obito flickering like an apparition though...absolutely haunting. |

| RIP Itachi future wife. such a beautiful girl wasted that day. this episode is kinda interesting (even though they skipped the best part), because we get to know how Itachi first joined Akatsuki, and how he get accepted by everyone in there. I wish they animated how Itachi killed Izumi instead of this, I'm hoping this because I didn't read the novel. |

| This was such a great episode. It was even better watching it in dub. I would have liked it if this episode was one of the first Naruto episodes. Also Itachi's not girlfriend died :/ |

| Really enjoyed this ep. So sad that itachi had to make that choice. seeing the og akatsuki was cool too i didn't know sasori and orochimaru were paired which would explain their deals and that kisame wasn't the og partner. |
| People need to learn to differentiate the manga and the anime. Izumi's role in the Itachi arc was clearly shrunk down from the start. Shes a character thats only supposed to be in a few episodes, they arent going to give the spotlight of the arc to her lmao. Shes a filler character for god sake, she wasnt even shown to be his girlfriend LMAO |
| Ayo Fugaku has a mangekyo? Wtf? I don't think that's even remotely canon. He looked sick while controlling Kyuubi in that genjutsu/'possible event'-dream I still don't understand how he got in touch with Obito and how was he able to convince him. Anyways, it was nice to see this whole event from Itachi's pov. Huh, we get to see a new Akatsuki member? The new ED looks and sounds pretty darn good. I like how the manga panels were used. |

| Why it's sooo diffrent fro the source, it gives me absolutely diffrwnt feelings than Naruto Shinden LN -.- I mean, as anime it's pretty good but I prefer source of this arc way more. |
| Rather than give any concessions to the Uchiha at all for many years, which would've saved the village a lot of trouble and been fair and democratic, the Uchiha mysteriously plan to declare war and kidnap the ten tails for their own interests. So rather than communicate or just quit the village in peace, there is a bloody revolution--except for some super powerful eyes of Itachi which are the same eyes but somehow more powerful than his father's, because Itachi is "a genius". So then men, women and children are slaughtered, along with Itachi's girlfriend by his new friend. And Madara obviously has no links to the old Uchiha. None of it makes sense, and it's all very elaborate. Suffice to say, all of it moves the plot without having an inch of logic. We're also getting the same Itachi story as before to fill in space. Naruto Shippuden doesn't make any sense at all. Everything since the end of OG Naruto, when they're fighting in that forest and Sasuke is taken, feels like a mistake. But Pain was good. But seeing the story end in such a convoluted way, it reeks. Maybe it's the fillers but the war arc feels pointless. |
