I don't know why, but I feel like I'm not as smart as I used to be. In high school, I could easily score without studying much, I could debate everything, write anything from scratch without planning much like the ideas just come to mind, but now I feel like my mind is not sharp like it used to be, does anyone else feel like that?

In terms of interacting with people? yes, I feel much less intelligent compared to how I was like 3-5 years ago.

But, I don't mind at all, too much interaction these days affects me negatively anyway, so...yeah.

I wouldn't say about online, but my interaction with people irl has gotten better than before, so that's a plus point

I think i've gotten smarter then my younger self
My waifu is the most wonderful waifu. Mai Valentine.

We're freaking out that we're running out of time, but to do what? Should i stop and think of that? Is there something i could do to slow it down? Live in a day for once, instead of watch it sprinting by

IRL people drain me completely, so, unless we share a significant amount of interests...otherwise it's hard for me to feel or gain anything positive from all that, but, I'm glad if it works for you.

I think every person feels like that once in their life. I also find it harder to remember stuff, I feel like I'm getting bad at explaining stuff, I feel less articulate than I used to be.
I'm probably gonna stop stressing a lot, change my diet and sleep schedule, it might work

I hit my peak "smartness" (intelligence) at around 26
and since then it's all been downhill in terms of "dumbness" (general alcohol induced cerebral degeneration)

Oh yea I definitely feel like I've dumbed down a lot. Before I could finish tests with loads of time to check over, now I get lucky if I manage to properly finish each question rip

Most of all, I think the lack of sleep I've been getting affects my ability to think properly. Plus, arguing with trolls and toxic people online can dull the brain over time.

I feel like I'm becoming stupider every day that goes by.

Yeah, I think lack of sleep is the reason. Also, arguing with people online over trivial things

At the moment, yeah. I feel like I'm one of the dumbest guys in my MBA batch and my quiz results haven't been the most stellar. I also feel like I'm forgetting more than I'm learning new stuff.

Most definitely.

Been out of school for 7 years now. Mixed with substance abuse along the way has decreased my mental faculties significantly (lol).

It's more accurate to say I'm not functioning peak capacity. I know my intelligence went up over time but my ability to use it went down soon after.

I think I learnt a lot as I got older and I still have a lot to learn.

I also feel like we felt smarter as high schoolers than we really were, we just don't tend to acknowledge that.

Practicing bad habits like not exercising and getting myself fat made me thicker in the brain. Still, i'm at least very smart.

Not really, looking back and things I said, did, and wrote makes me uncomfortable. I thought I was smart, but because people told me I was. I actually felt like a dumb ass, failure. Now I'm doing alright for myself, and don't really try to measure intelligence. I feel like I make better arguments, and put more care I to my thoughts than I used to. So by that extent, I do feel I'm smarter than I was.

Generally the same here, but it's more mixed at times.

That happens to those who weren't intelligent exactly, but rather just productive enough to do their tasks well, which made they complacent. They ended up resting on their laurels. Therefore, they didn't develop the discipline and interest needed to still learn or perform well after that temporary production boost went away.

Well, when you are a kid you think you have everything figured out, because you have a very narrow view of the world. But as an adult, you realize just how vast the world really is, and how much knowledge is out there. Even if you are infinitely smarter than you where then, it seems insignificant in scale.

I'm sure all of us have been stupid, dumb, impulsive and generally, silly.
It's okay to trust your instincts sometime!

As for me, I feel like my mind has never been sharper than these few years now and it can probably go further.

In my experience I think I'm smarter than previous years. But I also believe somehow I'm unable to retain information. It's weird.
