I can explain the theme shifts. It's simply because they didn't have enough episodes/budget and needed to cut things. The arcs were swapped around, and one was left midway. (Slight bit of source spoilers but the beach episodish stuff didn't happen straight after their escape from kisragi) I believe it would have been better to stick to a source but stuff happens.

I have been wondering this for a while but does the author has some sort of fetish for women shooting guns?

Another uninteresting and truly inconsistent episode but what can I say? Seeing Toriko in swimsuit made it less boring, I guess. Sorawo was also quite fine, I must say.

Are the two main leads not that bright?

Last week we had them using their phones after being told not to and this week they find themselves on the otherside and instead of questioning why they ended back there they decide to enjoy the beach in a world that has tried to kill them or worse every single time.

I'm committed to finishing this now as I've come so far but I am getting rather irritated at the idiocy.

"They do not leave there with any weapons." ... Eh? You mean they have no weapons GOING there or after they LEFT..? Because i just read the manga, they come there fully armed and leave that way too... Also get why they where so weird and awkward with the military in the anime - in the manga they came to SAVE them, in the anime its just a passing encounter... Why are they doing these huge changes?

The anime has changed up the order of arcs. We have only seen Kunekune (Wiggle-Waggle) Hunting, Hasshaku-Sama, Space-Time Man, Kisiragi Station (Station February), and Resort Night at the Beach of the End, with an extra made-for-anime arc thrown in. You are referencing things yet to happen in the anime. Kisiragi Station is not the same arc.

In Kisaragi they both end up in the Otherside at night, without their weapons (in the LN, manga, and the anime). This is when they meet the US forces at Kisaragi Station (Station February). They escape by the train at the station, beginning and ending the arc weaponless (aside from the one they use, but leave behind, to kill the face-cow monster).

Unfortunately sometimes things like that happen, like some of episodes of Ducktales reboot (2017) were also aired out of order.
So probably this isn't anime stuff "error" but producers decision, especially since according to you episodes aren't change storywise.

Unfortunately, I don't think this is the case and they seem to have made the decision. While I say they have changed almost nothing about the events of the epispde, they have changed some of the lead-ins at the end of the episodes. The lead in from Kisaragi to Resort was changed (them coming back on a rail drawn in the sand of a beach, as apposed to them coming back in a passenger car).

Finally an episode faithful to the title of this show lol. A picnic in the beach on the other side. The first half of this episode was fun, I mean girls in beach is always a fun treat. Thou as usual it became spooky fast. The puppet things were really spooky in this episode. Thnx to the hat they survived and came back alive. Too bad the hat fell apart thou. Now they can't use it to escape anymore.

They were really wasting bullets, in such situations they can't afford to shoot just for practice.

That long haired person Sorawo saw must be Satsuki. Now I kinda feel like that in the the end Satsuki might be the real enemy.

Anyway, even if it's thrilling, I'm kinda getting tired of seeing them going to the Otherside just to enjoy near death situations.

The thing with the guns is really off indeed...and I wish they'd somewhat explain the mechanics of the Otherside. I assume this is covered in the manga but seriously, how did Sorao at all know that using the hat in that way would open a portal to the normal world?

Thus far she sees an overlap between the two worlds and uses Toriko's hand to peel at it so it makes sense but in this case, she just knew that using the hat like that would save them.

I guess it goes with her being aware of every single urban legend thus far, she can always identify them. But it does not make much sense, it's such a wild guess.

The obligatory beach episode. This one was quite a scary with all those creepy looking creatures.

Sorawo and Toriko looked hot in swimsuits.

BEACH EPISODE! Teleporting hat scene was cool with the whole world crumbling apart but I wonder why she didn't try this when they were stuck with the soldiers last episode. Also where did all those guns come from? Seems the adaptation really messed up the order of the source.

tbh i really liked how they added a bunch more creative monsters to this whole chapter in the adaptation. wasn't really terrifying but got that good bizarrely spooky vibe this show's damn good at hitting when it tries!
Everyone needs to watch t least three good and three bad things in each genre or they will explode forever.

Sorawo and Toriko in their bikinis are hot. Them gunning down monsters while in a bikini makes it hotter.

Even if Toriko is a hottie, she can be really fucking annoying sometimes.
