Wow Suk is such a NOOB and dense it makes me cringe. Am I the only one who wants to punch him right in his throat?

"You can search my room, I've got nothing to hide"? B*tch didn't you think for a second that they might have planted some evidence in your room before you got there?!

"I didn't do anything wrong"? "They'll understand"?!!
Is this guy on LSD or something? He doesn't have a single clue about what's going on around him! Or in general too...

The right analogy to his situation would be: 'A baby seal inside a tank full of sharks.'

Suk is really naive. I'm surprised he didn't grasp that he was being framed and that if he were to go to the station they will 'understand', yeah sure they will.

The only explanation that I could think of for Suk smelling gun powder instead of hearing a shot, is that Johan must of used a silencer, otherwise it just doesn't make sense.

Johan is still on top in this game. I feel like this is a bit of filler mystery and the series is starting to taper out cause the pace is really slow.

That tape was creepy.
Johan overdid it a bit, he put evidence of the crime and even killed the inspectors in Suk's house.
Grimmer was terrified when he saw him come down the stairs.

Amazing these last two episodes were special thanks to Johan of course so it turned out that the new police chief is also a former secret police that was actually a good idea from Grimmer to meet at a public cafe well it was better than a secret place they might have ended up in a really worse situation , but I wonder who was that man's voice on the cassette ? well it seems like Johan made a good relation for Suk
great episode but kinda slow pace I give it 4/5

Why Anna/Nina Johan left Grimmer live? I wonder how Jan Suk & Grimmer are going to debunk the Prague police suspicions now that they are 2 cops that were investigating him dead plus the crime scene have those whisky candies & the muscle relaxants/drug in that jar (assuming they are going to flee without cleaning the scene) or if they stay they definitely are going to be arrested and inside a prison they can prove their innocence.

Another thing is going by his loo I think Suk saw Anna thus his mind-broken state of mind firstly because her betrayal (he doesn’t know she is a he and that he is Johan) and second because he didn’t associate the beauty with Nina suddenly appearing his life and the coincidence of the events… as a detective he has to be felling down but as a man even more heartbroken (again he doesn’t know that Anna is a man)… Superb episode!

Well, looks like Grimmer has a backstory of his own. But those facial expressions are something to behold.

The look on Grimmer's face. Has any other villain dressed in drag? Wait, don't answer that.

The incompetent detective just got served the dish of his life. Dude should have been careful already.

Grimmer going down the rooms was like this.

I already have an idea why Johan doesn't harm Grimmer. Suk is fucked, tho.

Pretty intense episode again, especially the part with the tape.

One of Grimmer'a early appearances made me think he could've been in Kinderheim 511 but his age, assumed since all that a know is that he used to be a spy, simply doesn't add up for him to be one of the orphans. I really hope he is one of the good guys.

Thrilling ending. The final scenes made it look as if Suk had hanged himself. There is one thing that is bothering me and that is how Johan managed to kill the agents without making any noise. Amazing episode regardless.

I've thought the same, even this episode he clearly had some extra attachment to the Kinder-kids with his near-vomiting at the cassette (with a vision it seemed?) and sensing when Johan was near. He must have some connection to Kinderheim 511 but I really don't know what.

Killer episode, this anime is really boiling after slowly heating up the last several episodes

Still wondering how Suk made it that far into his career while being this naive. It's like they picked a random person off the street, gave him a badge, and told him "here, play detective for a bit". Spilling information about a high-profile case to some rando at the bar he doesn't even know the name of? Meeting with a suspect in public, in broad daylight? Not being wary of the other police after he was just betrayed twice? He was endearing at first but his naivete is too much now.

Not even going to bother questioning why Suk could smell gunpowder but not hear the shots.

We already knew about the source of the monster thing Johan keeps repeating, guess Grimmer and Suk have to hear it too. Makes sense.

I'm wondering what Johan's goal in this is, though. For someone who keeps saying he wants to kill everyone, he sure is concerned with small fry.

Nah, Grimmer will understand, since he already saw a blonde girl coming out from a homicide scene twice.

A thing I don't understand is Johan's motive for disguising as Nina. He may have reached the point that he will abandon everyone, family is not an exception, or even his saviour is included.
He who smiles in a crisis has found someone to blame.

I agree. I think Grimmer was at 511 Kinderheim with Johan, perhaps as an older kid.

Despite him not having met Johan/Anna (as far as we know or have seen), he had an eerie feeling when Johan was at the cafe. It's possible he subconsciously recognized Johan's face because he's met him before, therefore triggering a flashback, but wasn't aware enough in the moment to actually register that Johan was there spying on him.

When Grimmer listened to the tape, he was very explicitly triggered by Johan speaking/telling the story possibly because Grimmer heard it while HE was AT 511 Kinderheim. It also explains the vent-fan flashback, which I think existed at 511 Kinderheim. Anna, before, had a similar gut-wrenching reaction when she read the Monster storybook.

Because we don't know much about Grimmer's past (journalist? spy?) him having firsthand experience at 511 Kinderheim would explain his skills (his more covert, shrewd, intense personality) and would also explain the very visceral reaction he has to Johan's presence. If he was once manipulated by Johan, of course he would have such debilitating trauma, and of course he would be on a personal mission to investigate.

Whew. Loving this anime. So good.

How does Johan pick his targets? Aside from going after old foster parents, why does he specifically target people like Schuwald and Suk?

And it looks like they hint at Grimmer also being from 511 Kinderheim

why would he plant evidence? the police had it and planted it. besides it doesn't make sense to get a guy framed and then save the day immediately afterwards. that "evidence" goes no where and it changes nothing about the outcome.

Johan really messed up Suk's life there by killing those cops making it even more difficult to prove his innocence. Also seeing Grimmers reaction to the tape recording makes me think he was personally involved with Kinderheim 511 in some way.

Can't take this arc seriously anymore. Not with Johan now being able to physically morph into Anna at will.

By the way, I gotta laugh at Suk not being able to connect the dots regarding the identity of the "blonde beauty" yet he identified Grimmer aka "the tall man with a bag" almost immediately.

That must have been traumatic Not only was Suk being framed by Johan but to make it worse Johan shot both of the detectives disguised as Anna then Sok opened the door to find that Aunna shot both the detectives and was also the person that framed him but of course to us it’s Johan who’s doing all of this this but to Suk it’s Aunna the one person he trusted

I had a feeling that Grimmer has a past at 511 Kinderheim when he first came to Mr Petrov because of his reaction to the "experiment", and this ep pretty much confirms he was there at some point

Since Grimmer already had a son who presumably died at a young age (didn't yet go fishing with his dad), I assume that he's about double the age of Johan. If he had any connection to 511, he was an adult at that point. Unless he was there before Johan but that kinda wouldn't matter overall.

Grimmer told Tenma that if a doctor as good as Tenma was near him back then, his son would've been saved.

Could it be that Grimmer's son was friends with the kids from Kinderheim, possibly Johan, and got killed? Idk if kids from orphanages have friends on the outside though.

He did mention that he was a spy. He might've just briefly seen some things inside Kinderheim that traumatized him enough to the point that he can't listen to the tape. Or he had to become a part of 511 to keep his real identity a secret? Because when he separated from Tenma he told him something about burdens and sins.

It's still a mystery what the hell exactly does Grimmer keep in that bag lol. We've seen it's filled with books but he carries them literally everywhere. I suspect that all of them are about Kinderheim

Neither Grimmer nor Suk had a reaction to Johan's name because Johan mentioned multiple names, so they didn't find his name particularly important.

Johan started making bigger moves. Suk is being framed so that's gonna be tough. I almost thought he hanged himself

Grimmer's encounter with Johan at the stairs was great. What a villain!

I don't really know why but Johan had to kill the two agents.
Well that means Johan (diguised as Anna) killed Petrov and as well Zeman.

So either Suk is in even bigger trouble than before or he's out of his mess and the stb isn't chasing him anymore. But I doubt the second.
