| Great episode! I am really liking this, the setting and the plot just seems so unique and interesting. The first half of the episode was definitely creepy, was wondering why they had murder weapons in their cleaning supplies room, I guess it's mainly for fighting with the phantom soots. Really worried for Rose though, I hope there's no late effect or something from the soot disease. Despite that creepy wild first half, it still managed to be wholesome. Hmm, I doubt being able to move soot is something only Kate can do, maybe the phantom was being controlled too. The star bearer was the doll we saw at the end of the first episode, she's kind of strict, I hope we see more of her. Kate and Emilico's relationship is wholesome, I love it. That Lord plotting something for the debut, I am worried. Really looking forward to the next episode. |

| I haven't looked at the manga, but the setting as it looks now is way too rich in possibilities to fit in a 13 episode series. |
| I find it weird that the show tried to force Emilico to choose between Mia and Rosemary, as if anything Rosemary was doing to Mia was going to actually damage her face and cause her problems in fulfilling her duties to Sara; she was being kicked in the back of the head, not the face, so how would that have left a mark on her face to cause problems for her in her duties? That aside, that whole situation raises a lot of questions about this whole set up: am I right in understanding that there's one "living doll" per member of the Shadow family, each one intended to serve as one of their faces? If that's the case, shouldn't they have tried much harder than they actually did to save Rose from the phantom, rather than just standing there making spoken observations about the situation? If Rose had suffered more long-term damage and "broke", they'd have been at fault and would have ruined her Shadow's prospects, right? That then raises the question of what happens if one of the living dolls does "break" or messes up the Debut. Can they just be replaced to keep the corresponding Shadow around, or is that the end for the Shadow in question? And if so much rides on the debut and on the living doll being able to sufficiently serve as a face, why is no one properly teaching Emilico her duties as Kate's face in amidst all the cleaning work she has to do? While we as the audience obviously need a character like Emilico (someone who knows as little as we do about what's going on), it doesn't make sense to me in-universe that she would be left in the dark so much about matters very important to her and Kate's future. It really feels like the set-up is constantly pushing Emilico and Kate to push the conventions of Shadows House and maybe end up rising up against the obvious oppression happening here; the fact that she's constantly showing interest in "trivial matters" that she shouldn't be feels like very strong foreshadowing in that direction. And with Lou also having yet to make her own Debut, Emilico could well have an ally in that eventual likelihood. The Debut feels like the most important piece of the puzzle, as it stands. |

| Pretty sure Mia got those scars because of that "debut" thing. Poor Emilico. She's about to receive some weird ass Victorian punishment. Also, Rose needs to find herself better teammates. She got attacked by a soot spider shit and the others just stood there watching. Was that lack of action meant to be funny or something? Because Lou smacking Rose's back and calmly spraying water at her while keeping her distance sure looked like it. Anyways, still a nice episode overall. More interesting than the previous two at least. Not to mention it seems Kate can now control soot so I wonder how this will affect the story. | It's getting a bit darker, Rosemary got attacked by the soot monster, and also the scars on Mia's back... I think she lying and her owner is hitting her. Kate can control the soot that weird, I wonder what can happen with this power. |

| this should've been done better. idk but the bgm is really off in that scene where Rose was attacked. It should've been much darker and more thrilling, or was the tone really intended to be light-hearted at the start? I want to like this series, but something is really off that doesn't suit well in the theme that this show is going to |

Most likely next episode and the debut will start in the second half of the episode or the debut will be in episode 5 so they gonna have to introduce them in episode 4 |

Shadows house isn't some heavy depression inducing shock value riding cute girl suffering piece of fiction, and won't even get that serious until chapter and anime is currently at chapter 16. Until then enjoy the fairly light hearted slice of life, mysteries, huge and diverse cast of characters slowly introduced to the audience and ever more complex lore and and worldbuilding. After that it won't be a made in abyss, either. Tho no one hitting her except for lou is anime only thing, in manga it looked like that the zombie was also more goofy than scary last but not least, these adorable little clingers/scorchers, as dangerous as they might possibly be, are definitely not supposed to be scary |

| Learning by doing. Thats clearly what Emilico got this time, i guess, considering there was so much goin on in one episode. But its still okay, knowing all the information might be useful for the later event resolves. Good thing that despite her clumsiness at her own chores, i suppose, Emilico still had a good sense to be effective with that kind of situation. Good job, little girl! The phantom, the star bearer, the first-aid team, and the debut for Kate-Emilico apparently become an unseparated things to develop Emilico character furthermore. While the bathing scene kinda showed at least how Rose was unexpectedly okay, and Mia really hide something behind her back. Poor two girls. I hope they both still okay until the end of these season xd. A little hierarchy inside the shadow house already showed slowly. Those adult also had his own agenda, using the shadows debut as his own steps to be the high rank, i dunno. It may disturb the Emilico and Kate debut performance, though so i simply really looking forward to see their part there. Especially when knowing Kate already showed her progression as the shadow master with all of those soot movement ability. Ganbatte you both! |

Either ways the anime already mentioned the limited knowledge Dolls can share about the debut & Kate has shown her reserved timid nature (possibly due to how badly she's treated outside if the other master was anything to go by). So it makes sense for Kate to have not started the lessons before being able to be comfortable with Emilico. It is also possible the lessons that got interrupted were in part studies for the debut or Dolls might normally be tutored by someone else but maybe the outside scene with Kate was foreshadowing that she's the black-sheep & so the shadow house isn't planning on helping her in particular? |

| So much happened in this episode Well first I wonder how Mia got those scars Like others are saying, it kinda annoyed me when Rosemary was about to die, and yet the rest weren't rushing or doing anything to help. I do understand that it was different in the manga so ig now I gotta read the manga. I was kinda thinking Rose got replaced with a new one at the end but I guess not LOL I can't wait to see more of the adult Shadows and adult dolls. I guess that means that dolls can grow, but if there's a fat shadow would they feed the doll a bunch of food to match? |

| soot can also turn into monsters, scary. Quick thinking by Emilico to douse the monster with water from the vase. and the villains starting to be introduced.. Kate found out she has an ability to control soot.. best to keep it a secret for now. |

| When they were all standing there watching rosemary get attacked, it really showed how these dolls functioned. They are basically babies. They have like zero knowledge regarding certain situations, trouble making decisions, bad problem solving skills, and extremely ignorant. I bet if rosemary just died right there they'll just wonder why she isn't moving since it seems like they have no idea what death is with their lack of urgency. The scene showed that perfectly. |

| lol what the hell???? it felt like they weren't rushing at all somehow during this episode???? i don't know if it's just my imagination that everyone was slow as hell and slightly unbothered, i mean i thought i was stricken when the soot fully covered rosemary's face and she was getting dragged into the air by the scorch (or whatever you call it.) mia having back whipping scars seems just about right, for the owner she has. a lot of interesting mysteries have popped up, like how every doll has a different starting point (which is probably based off of the shadow's own knowledge/experience). it would explain why emilico is more naive than the rest, since kate is apprehensive when leaving her room - suggesting a past. |

| Well this episode had a bit more behind it, actually got me curious about what this debut entails though the blonde doll girl is still annoying. The importance of cleaning does not do well to make the anime interesting, can only watch people dust for so long. Will give this another episode. |

| Ok while the concept of the story is def unique some of the writing for this is so corny... Really silly how Rosemary was getting eaten up and they stood there like "omg nooo what do we do :((((" for ages... Then finally after the reveal that water weakens the monsters they make it seem like it's hopeless since there's no water left.... only for Emilico to go and grab the flower vase to save her two minutes later *facepalm* LIKE IT HADN'T OCURRED TO YOU BEFORE TO DO THAT??? I guess she had an epiphany or something... lmao wtf. Anyway I didn't know anything about the og work before I started watching so I might look like boo boo the fool in the future but I think the living dolls are maybe human and they're told they're dolls instead so that they only do as they're told and their memories get erased before they go and live as servants (? maybe the monsters are the result of the shadows that fail to make their debut because of that foreshadowing, they look like deformed shadows with their personalities erased. Dunno, we'll see |

| Bruh this episode made up for last 2 episodes. I loved the living dolls and the world building. Also kate being able to control soot is so OP a power she can pretty much beat Naruto, Luffy, Ichigo and Goku in one sitting. Can't wait for the shadows house monsters! Also Emilico is pretty smart to kill that monster phantom with vase water. And there is lot of ship tease between Kate and Emilico. Can't wait to see more budding love between the two. |

| I'm positively convinced that the dolls are just humans but brainwashed into believing they are dolls. Unless something comes up in the future that states they have been modified or something it just seems very likely. |
| Those were scars on Mia's back? And she's supposed to be one of the more exceptional dolls shown so far. Emilico is fortunate to have Kate as her master, because whoever gave Mia those lashes probably would've "disposed of" Emilico outright. Everything is better with zombies, so soot zombies are only expected in this anime. |

| We learned a lot of things this episode. Emilyko's thinking is really good when she shoved some the water on the flower base to the Ghost. Good thing Rosemary recovered. |
