I know that it's normal to cry while watching emotional shows, but how many people haven't cried while watching them? I've never cried while watching something, but I do get emotional. Am I just weird or are there more like me.

People need to stop asking "Am I wEirD For Not CrYiNG aT sOmeThIng FicTOnAL". Even if you don't cry at anything I wouldn't call it weird, as people have different ways of dealing with something. However if one of your loved ones dies and you don't feel sad then you should probably seek help.

However, if your just not crying at a "sad anime" which is subjective, then your fine.
I gave up on character of the week since it takes too much thinking. I'll just change my forum pfp to whoever I want every week lol.

I think there have been very few anime that have not been able to make me cry atleast once. To be fair that goes for everything fictional: games, anime, series & movies.

It just means I am a good lad. That what I keep telling myself anyway :).

Yeah same I haven't really cried when watching anything but I do get emotional. The only time I can see myself crying from watching something would be when One Piece ends and then a montage of the best moments starts playing.

Not sure there is an average amount for it depends what I am watching. It happens here and there.

Same as Deg though anime is more emotionally moving than the real world, Likely because it is emotionally manipulative which really is the point of fiction regardless of the emotion it attempts to elicit.

I don't cry at anime often but there are some exceptions
https://myanimelist.net/animelist/Kii_Ibarra?status=7&tag=Made%20me%20cry

Out of nearly 150 completed anime these 4 are the only ones that made me cry (so far). The American cartoon Steven Universe as well as its TV movie did make me cry a lot though

Not too often but it's not like I don't do it either. Maybe 1 out of every 10 shows if I had to guess.

I do get more emotional with anime then live action. It’s because of the anime music and the fact that the characters are more believable then real life actors.

I almost never cry. The only time I cried to something fictional is to a manga. I do get sad and emotional often but almost never cry.

Waow. Are we really doing this? Because if I start making a list we're here for the night :'^)
I have no idea why I cry like a baby while watching anime, ok? It almost never happens with movies or music. Everything in my favs made me cry multiple times except maybe Igano.

...
I cry when Wenge and his coach talk about ping-pong ffs wth is wrong with me? :'''^)

edit: On the other hand gimme a lame ass generic death with sad moozik, nothing better to make me laugh or roll my eyes. I also don't feel sad for characters dying if it serves the story. RIP character. Not sure why people cry over who kisses who or who dies in anime

Somewhat often I guess. I haven't cried to anime in a while but it depends on the series and the moment itself

Basically, never and on the rare occasions in which I do, it's basically just a tear or two, so sometimes I'm not even sure if that counts. I can get choked up, or teary-eyed though, so it's not like stuff can't evoke emotion from me, but I do kind of wish I had more of a physical response; it would probably add more impact.

Watching stuff can't usually get me to cry. Only things that I have ever cried about is loss of someone or just a bunch of stress piling up. But anime, no, I have never cried once.

Probably like 10 times. I cried 4 times watching Naruto as a kid. During the Rock Lee flashback, the end of the land of waves arc, during Jiraiya's death, and the Gaara flashback. I cried twice watching Violet Evergarden, once at the end of Gurren Lagann, I fucking bawled while watching ep 13 of Made in Abyass with my dad. I also cried at the end of your lie in April, and I cried at ep 8 of Houseki no Kuni.

im a pretty emotional person overall, most things move me, even when it doesn't intend to because id imagine or place other circumstances on the given scene. like maybe it reminds me something, things like that. so quite often, but i do try to hold my tears back a lot so i can't the scene is just that great

i am a pretty grey-feeling, unemotional guy in day to day life (other than the occasional or at times... quite frequent, bouts of anxiety) but for whatever reason i cry very easily when i'm watching anime, films, even sometimes reading books or listening to music or interviews or whatever. i cried nonstop when i was watching violet evergarden and i didn't even really like it all that much lol

first time i remember crying while watching something and thinking "wtf am i doing" is when i was watching the little giants on tv in the middle of the night one day when i was like 13 or something. then i cried watching grave of the fireflies in high school. things just snowballed out of control from there.

I tend to cry more on epic moments rather than sad moments (especially with bombastic OST). Or with amazing acting in the case of live action movies.

Very rarely, so far the only anime which managed to make me cry are Legend of Galactic Heroes, Clannad After Story, and Gundam Iron Blooded Orphans.

The older I get, the easier it is for me to be emotionally moved by something. Because of this, many anime have made me cry, or at least made me emotional.

I recently watched "Cardcaptor Sakura," and one episode in particular made me cry. I also got rather emotional during one part of the "Chibi Maruko-chan: Watashi no Suki na Uta" movie.

I'm sure you'll overcome this.

if anything crying while watching means you are enjoying or getting engaged watching it so it's a sign of a good anime cause it can be challenging to move people's emotion.
