Oooh cool thread. I have to go with Ai's outfit: SHE IS SOOOOO CUTE. I tried sewing this for myself. I still haven't gotten it right. [hangs head] My favorite school uniform is definitely this:  IT'S SO FRILLY AND CUTE. FRILLY DRESSES ARE THE BEST!!! (I also failed at sewing this too) Sakura Kinomoto also has wonderful outfits but it's pretty hard to pick just one. xD |

I do like each of her seven outfits, but I just feel like there's something particularly special about her White Prétear costume—not just because that's her ultimate form, but how it actually fits in with the show's fairy tale origins. It may not be one of my favorite magical girl costumes of all time, but I do think it (as well as Prétear itself) deserves more love. Uta∽Kata is another exception to the magical girl tradition of usually only one magical girl costume. You thought Himeno got lucky with eight magical girl costumes? Well, Ichika frickin' got TWELVE. XD Thirteen if you count the other variation of the costume she briefly wears in the OP. My favorite out of all of her costumes is easily her Sun Djinn costume.  But then again, it's probably expected that it'd look the best considering that it was actually designed by the show's character designer. Yeah, one awesome part of this show is that each of the magical girl costumes that feature in each episode is actually created by a different artist. Even three of the main staff members for the show (one of whom designed this) participated in this. It does mean that the quality of costumes may vary widely, but it also means we get all kinds of styles and many of these costumes, like this Sun one, look great.
