| Am I the only one who thought that Hector and the older Roswaal are really alike? Hector does that elongated singsong thing when he talks like Rowaal and it looks like Hector was wearing a really similar outfit to the older Roswaal too - I wonder if all that is relevant to something later on? I have to say though, I was a bit confused after this ep... why did Echidna create the Sanctuary, and what has Roswaal's goal been for 400 years? I get that it's something to do with Echidna but what exactly? |

| Funny how Echidna shamed Emilia for kissing Subaru, but kissed Roswaal as soon as they met lol. I guess she really is a witch who occasionally does nice things. Knew this was going to be a cool down episode. I wish we had a whole ova of Roswaal past with Betty, and the others. I love the goodbye between Beatrice and Ryuuzu. It's hard to hate the people you love. So many unspoken feeling Betty must have towards her mother. Who the fuck is Hector? Everybody always on some other shit in this series. I love it lol. Not to much to say in this episode. Just a little cool explanation. Guess we heading to the Mansion arc now? Can't wait. 3/5 |

| What is happening? Subaru knows that story now, so what? So most of the episode is a flashback, okay, but what's the point? I don't like this pacing, binging it would probably be much better than watching weekly. Veery slow. upd: ED is great tho, style is similar to kaguya season 2 |

| A slower episode showing Rosswall and Echidna's relationship 400 years in the past and how they were able to protect their plan of creating the sanctuary. Subaru is now taking the lead and let's see if Emilia really is strong as he believes or if Ross is right. What surprises me is how they are able to make an episode only about backstory and a Ross and Subaru's conversation so interesting, dynamic and tense. Excellent episode. |

| Some more good backstory and flashbacks. Although, it was also nice to be back in the present at times to see Subaru, Garth and Roswaal's ideals clash. |

| See part of Beatrice/Ryuzu backstory got me excited again to continue to watch Re;zero. Was a compact,simple, and clean storytelling. I hope the mansion battle isn't far. And would be great if Ryuzu get out of the crystal after the barrier release and meet Beatrice, so she can get her will to live back, I suppose. |

| Like everyone has said, that kiss between Roswaal and Echidna took me by surprise. I wonder how many otakus are going to kill themselves after seeing their waifu performing such lewd kiss. This new chara Hector looks interesting. I don't think it was revealed the reason why he attacked the Sanctuary, but I hope it gets explained eventually. I see Roswaal adopted his mannerisms (or that is the impression I got). Seeing Beatrice suffering is so sad :'( At the end, Subaru and Roswaal are similar (a pair of simps), but with different approaches. Seeing how the negotiations with Roswaal failed, I want to see what Subaru will do next. I like how Garfiel developed, when Roswaal was taunting him about his mother I thought he would rush to hit him, but he seems to have changed for the best after all. |

| Man, seeing Betty lose her only friend makes me so sad. Makes you understand why she values all the people and saved Subaru as well when he was in the mansion and the desperation to never lose anyone precious to her again. Great episode but felt the kiss at the start to be unnecessary tbh. It felt like it was put there to add a reason for Rosewall to fall in love with her. |

| What a way to start the episode, no wonder Roswaal has been simping for 400 years lol. Holy hell Roswaal just got butchered by that Hector clown. Was sad to see Ryuzu and Betty part ways like that. Back to present we have the Battle of Simps, Roswaal's in for some fun when he finds out Emilia cleared the trial. |

| This episode should have been called: The day Roswaal got pounded so hard he became a clown. Anyone notices how Roswaal now talks and dresses like Hector?. One thing that did bother me though, is that they cut or "censored" some stuff on the Roswaal vs Hector fight.  👁👄👁 Lmaooooooooooooooooo Now it makes sense Beako :( OMG!, I love his way of thinking, hahah And now Roswaal reveals the soul binding contract Roswaal is PISSED! OMG! Subaru dissing Emilia OMG!, the parallels. Remmber that Subaru x Roswaal ice statue from the OVA? | Hmm quite the flashback scene to start the ep with. Inability to release accumulated mana huh. It was amusing to see Roswaal be so smitten though. Things back then sure was surprisingly pleasant. The chemistry between Roswaal, Beatrice and Ryuzu prime sure was fun. Ryuzu's parting words was so sad and yet also so serene as well. Her determination to become the barrier to protect those dearest to her was unmatched. The effect that it had on Beatrice as well was likewise tear jerking. While it looks like Roswaal won\t be an ally soon the determination of both to face each other with their respective ideas though sure is shown in full force here. |

| Probably the weakest episode of the second cour. I too was not expecting the kiss at the beginning but am glad it was there; re zero showed us that gore is not the only thing this show can pull. I am very much looking to Subaru and Emilia meeting ones more and interacting. Hopefully something like that will happen next episode. I guess the next episode will be action packed. |

| Such a strong episode, showcased a lot of stuff that happened in the past and Emilia is out of the trials. Subaru once again reclaimed himself. 5/5 |

| No wonder Roswaal fell for Echidna..I mean getting deep tongued on your first meeting surely would leave and impression on anyone. lol That melancholy dude was really interesting, he wore similar clothes to Roswaal and his speaking was similar too. I wonder if something went wrong in the fight and the 2 merged? Or Roswaal ended up with his authority somehow. Or it's just a great coincidence. |

| I came here for Beatrice's pouting faces and I leave with full satisfaction! XD Same goes with the kiss scene between Roswaal and Echidna. It was completely unexpected, but it did look hot, though. This episode had some slower pacing than what we've seen previously, but it explained in detail about how Roswaal, Ryuzu, Beatrice and Echidna got along within the community, but with the appearance of Hector, drastic decisions had to be made. So it made for a tough scene watch Roswaal getting pummeled so badly by Hector, but it gave enough time for Ryuzu and Beatrice of get to the crystal, where the scene between them was filled with sadness. =( The rest of the episode had Roswaal and Subaru verbally and physically at each other's throat's with their arguments, but I do believe that Subaru will prove Roswaal wrong about Emilia, though. He still sees her as weak, but her progress in the sanctuary has proven otherwise. She's done really well. =) We also get the see the ED animation at last and it was worth the long wait for it. Visually, it looked stunning and it fits perfectly with Nonoc's song. Good stuff, White Fox! ^_^ |

| I love the lore and dialogues, but I think they need to understand how to make them visually engaging and not use the same shot for a long time. It feels like people talking in a stage for a play, and I am not fond of it. It's good they are using 30 minutes, but the execution is important too. And I am not a fam of the bgm, though the ost is godly. They used Regulus entry theme for Hector dude today. Weird. It's as if leitmotiffs are mixed up. Kinda frustrating to not see some showdown between Ecchidna (Yeah) and Hector (who's power I presume is either bending space itself or generate force fields). Still not totally clear why Sanctuary was ACTUALLY built except for just "protection" . Nice Subawaal foreshadowing in Memory Snow Also Subawaal looks lowkey like Hector so that's why Roswaal didn't like the snow sculpture? Someone verify Great visuals in the ED. Let's hope the last five episodes take my breath away! |

| That's quite the steamy kiss for Re: Zero. I understand the people saying it came out of nowhere but I personally welcome it because it goes against that waifu purity bullshit of female characters not being allowed to kiss someone other than the MC. I take great satisfaction with people being disappointed by that (not the ones saying it does not add anything from a narrative stance). Anyway, it was a rather good episode but I also think the dialogue between Subaru and Roswaal, which I usually like, is starting to feel a bit dragged because at this point they have already challenged each other (straight bet and all), so coming again and saying "give up" lessens the tension in my opinion. Taking the context into account I think this should be resolved with actions and not words, regardless of what will happen with Roswaal after the fight. That being said I have been enjoying the flashbacks and the character developments of all the characters (except for Garfield maybe?). Some time ago I did say I didn't give a damn about what would happen to any of the characters and was staying just because of the mysteries, and the reason was precisely because of how antagonistic and undeveloped all of the characters on the "good side" were. Like, the majority of things they had done up to this point were to insult, humiliate, and/or kill Subaru (if Subaru deserved that or not is another question). I'm very grateful for the second part of season 2, since I really needed something like this to stay. It also helps that I don't mind slow pacing like the majority of people. Now that I'm starting to like the characters the only thing I'm worried about is the potential increase of harem-like elements, and more girls falling for Subaru. Really hope not. |
