Even though I didn't join MAL until 6 months later, I had still watched a lot of shows after AoT, so I consider that to be when I started watching anime as a hobby 2) Don't really think I have one, actually. I only just have a few best bois/girls. I don't think those are the same things, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong. 3) This one is kinda hard... It's easy to say Wit because Attack on Titan was my first and favorite series, not to mention I love Sawano and pretty much always associate him with anything done by Wit due to how often his music is the OST for a lot of their shows. I also think that Bones and Madhouse are really solid studios, so much so that I'll add a show to my PTW purely based on their reputation alone. I also adore ufotable and GoHands because I'm addicted to amazing animation. But in all honestly imma say Xebec, because I fell in love with a nice slow-burn mecha series, and then it turns out that they're actually the studio behind one of my favorite childhood anime that I watched even before AoT. And to top it all of the studio died a couple years ago, which oddly made me love it even more. Idk it's weird 4) Definitely Shounen. I've watched like 3 times more shounen shows, and I tend to enjoy them more. Not saying I don't like seinen, just that my average score is a bit lower. 5) I've already mentioned how much I like Hiroyuki Sawano, so definitely Attack on Titan. His music is so good. Gets me so hyped all the time 6) Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans OP1 - "Raise your flag". I didn't care about singers or bands until I heard this opening and became obsessed with it. MAN WITH A MISSION is now my favorite band, and I love recognizing them and other popular artists when I hear new anime openings. 7) I'm anime-only, and with the exception of WebToons, have never read the source-material for any anime. 8) Neither. Turns out I have neither the energy for a binge longer than 3 hours nor the dedication to regularly watch anime every week. Best I can do is maybe 1 episode every few days 9) heh... 10) I have not gotten to the Big 3 yet. Their reputation is a bit daunting. I only recently finally got the courage to watch Cowboy Bebop and FMA this past year. I'm looking forward to Naruto the most, but I'm probably not gonna watch One Piece. 11) I love buying merch. Mainly posters and t-shirts. It's my favorite thing about going to conventions. 12) Hand Shakers. I love GoHands' excessive use of colorful animation and CGI. It's a beautiful train-wreck of visuals and I will watch anything they make because of it. 13) Ehhhhh....not entirely sure. In my own personal opinion, not really. Everyone has their own interests and shows that appeal to them. Consequently not everyone's interests are going to line up, and some will be further apart than others. 14) Not entirely sure I understand the question. Suppose you're asking which anime would work as a real-life concept? In which case I'd probably say No Game No Life. 15) Ooooohhhh. Hard choice. probably after 2012. There are more shows that pique my interest in more recent years than older ones. 16) It's a 4-way tie between Gleipnir, Deca-Dence, Dorohedoro, and Sarazanmai. You got a weird Future Diary-esque battle royale with a sentient mascot costume and a confusing, possibly post-apocalyptic monster-hunting landscape that's also a video game for cyborgs. And then there's the lizard-head that loves Gyoza and murdering sorcerers and damn is there so much murdering. The last one is sorta cute but also it's got kappa's doing some weird anal stuff and that's understandably a bit of a put-off for a lot of people. 17) Definitely. If you use the full scale that's a pretty decent score. Everything I've given a 6 to I would say is "alright". I would be fine with recommending a lot of them to others, and down to re-watch them if I was bored. 18) The Major (from Ghost in the Shell). She's one of the few female characters I would consider to be a role model, and I admire her greatly. 19) A few come to mind, actually. Knight's & Magic could have been a half-decent mecha Isekai. But the MC was so generically overpowered the show became boring to me. Clockwork Planet seemed like a really interesting sci-fi series with intriguing world-building. Then it turned out to just be sorta Ecchi with the cyborg waifu and not answer any important questions. I also really liked Chronos Ruler's plot and story. I thought the time-demons were really cool and also the different powers of the chronos rulers. I feel like with a bit better pacing and story adaptation, it could have been more popular. Same sorta thing with Braves of the Six Flowers. It was one of the first Mystery anime that I really got into, and it's such a shame that there's not a 2nd season or any other sort of adaptation. It's a really good story with really unique and strong characters. I was all set on Inuyashiki being a sort of more modern Death Note-esque show with cyborgs and mass murder. Then it all escalated too quickly and became hard to follow. 20) I'm torn between No Game No Life and Noragami. Both of them really need more story adapted asap. |

| 1. like since 2012, but i have took several pauses from it, specially around 2017-2019. 2. I have many favorite characters if that's what you mean, you can see them in my profile, but if i had to choose one from most recent anime releases: maybe hina from "plunderer" (even if i think the series was terribly bad, i still adored her character's personality and design) or takanashi rika from sss gridman. 3. I am not very knowledgeable about studios but i like Trigger studio's style in general, even if i think they haven't done too good in the recent years, they have a lot of talents and potential. 4. Seinen. 5. Hard to pick one, specially since most series use the same kind of music and its easy to forget of their ost, however, i still remember really well the ost from Aria franchise, so i think it might be it. Also liked cowboy bebop's soundtrack, since i am a man of jazz. 6. just as question 2, too many to give an exact "best" but i really loved charlotte's opening back in the time, it really mixes well amazing visuals with amazing music, i can't imagine myself listening the music without picturing the opening in my mind. 7. nowadays i am more into manga than anime, one reason might be it takes less of my time to read a full manga than watching a full anime due to filler and stuff. 8. Prefer binge watching, when it's possible. 9. I choose both. 10. if those three ones are the ones i think then yeah: Only naruto, but only the manga unfortunatly. 11. I haven't watched enough anime prior to 2012 to say but, i think even after watching most anime classics from the 90's and some from the 2000's, after 2012 there has come a lot of good anime in really high amount's, even if most of them aren't too good narratively, and theres too much eye-candy for my taste at times... in short, it's just all the same for me. 16. Anime: revolutionary girl utena. Manga: oyasumi punpun. They left me a really strong impression when i first readed/watched them, even if i don't think they are the best on their medium. 17. It objectively IS a positive score. (it means above average, average, which is what a 5/10 means). 18. None, waifus are better when they are 2D. Seriusly though, maybe i could call doraemon to get one of his gadgets. 19. The anime of Aku no hana was a complete waste of what could have been an amazing full manga adaptation. | 1. Since when have you been actively watching anime ? Around the time I created this MAL account. I was already a Vocaloid fan before though. 2. What's your waifu/husbando? Don't know, but Yuu Koito is my favorite female character. 3. What's your favorite studio? Shaft maybe? 4. Do you prefer shounen or seinen? I prefer seinen for anime and shounen (without the 'battle') for manga. The reason here is simple. Usually when I read a manga I expect some light entertainment, but the same thing doesn't apply to when I watch an anime (I tend to expect something more). 5. What series has the best OSt? Houseki no Kuni. 6. What anime has the best opening? Either Houseki no Kuni or Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. Can't decide. 7. Reading manga or watching anime ? I'm pretty busy with RL lately so I mainly read manga to relieve some of the stresses. 8. Watching weekly or binge watching? Binge watching. I don't like the feeling to wait an episode a week. 9. | 1. I remember Made in Abyss was airing back then (or just finished airing, I'm not sure), so around 3 years ago 2. I don't have any, I simply go by "favorite character" rather than "waifu/husbando" (I love them but that doesn't mean I'd want to marry them). If we want to go simply by favorite then I'd say it's Nanachi (though not entirely certain, I love my top 5 almost equally even if I have a slight preference for the bunny), and if we really have to go by waifu/husbando I'm gonna say Legoshi if he were human 3. Hard to say, I have a lot of favorites from Madhouse so I guess this one, but I also love the characteristics of Shaft and Gainax 4. Back when I started, I would've said seinen with no hesitation, but now I realize that shonen/seinen don't mean anything, and I love more shonens than seinens so technically, shonen, even if it's not the "shonen" people generally imagine when hearing that word 5. There are so many, but Made in Abyss OST holds a special place in my heart, very closely followed by Kaiba 6. Probably Serial Experiments Lain 7. Watching anime for me, I love doing both but I have a slight preference for anime due to it being more than just a story, it's an entire experience when the medium is used correctly thanks to the music, voice acting, animation, etc... 8. Neither, I just like to watch an episode whenever I feel like it 9. I haven't seen neither of them for now except AOT's first episode, so I can't say (I'm very late, I know) 10. Nope 11. No, I only buy manga 12. It is an obscure one, but I started Malice@Doll half-expecting to dislike it due to the bad rating, but I ended up enjoying it a lot, it is different but a good kind of different, it's refreshing 13. Maybe, I mean if there's someone out there who hates all the classics but unironically loves stuff like Boku no Pico their taste is definitely questionable, but generally no, trash taste isn't a thing, simply because everyone has their own reason to like what they like and there isn't an universally "good taste", no matter how much some people want to say it exists, it just doesn't, consequently there cannot be "trash taste" either 14. One that immediately comes to mind is Made in Abyss 15. Both ? Both. Both are good. 16. I've seen so many that I could call "unique", so I'm gonna name the one that impacted me the most : Kaiba. I've never seen a work like that before and it was an incredible experience 17. Yep, I give it to shows I enjoyed but thought they could've been much better, basically it's not bad, it's not average, it's not truly good either, it's simply fine 18. There are so many, but if I have to choose only one, for some reason I'd love to meet Koro Sensei. He isn't even one of my favorite characters (at least for now, he has the potential to join the team), but I feel like meeting him would be absolutely amazing 19. Elfen Lied, on paper this show is amazing, but the result is... Uh... Pretty fine but very questionable... In short it could've been amazing if they actually tried to make a proper story and great characters rather than plunge into edginess 20. Probably Haibane Renmei, the ending is great but I would love to know what happens next and see more of the characters I've come to get attached to. Oh, and I forgot but I really need a new Madoka sequel. I NEED to know what happens after Rebellion |
