| The intro sequence with Otto and Subaru is really nicely done, goes to show how much of a bro Otto is, even if Subaru hasn’t treated him like one. I wonder what the dynamic will be with Subaru and the Ryuzus and how that’ll play into the story, very interesting. Puck was supposed to protect Emilia, and now he has vanished (for good?) and it’s up to Subaru to protect Emilia! Who also leaves her alone… until the end of the episode. I wonder what he was doing all ruffled up, the trial? |

| Great start to the second half of the season. |
| So the second half of Re: Zero Season 2 picks up where it left off when Otto was beating up Subaru for not beating honest with him. Once Subaru tells Otto about his situation, he makes a bet with Rosswal that he will liberate the Sanctuary and save the mansion at the same time. Puck finally makes an appearance, but sadly he came back to break the contract with Emilia and remove the seal on her memories. Maybe, Emilia will be able to face the trial this time now that her memories are coming. I'm glad that I watched the Frozen Bonds OVA prior to watching this episode because there were a lot of call backs to that OVA regarding Emilia's past. |

| Not gonna lie I teared up a few times. So happy to have Re:Zero back! So much emotion in this episode. Always happy to see Emilia getting some needed character development. Subaru got his groove back so now he more level head when it comes to handling situations. Punk breaking the contract was unexpected and heart breaking. Felt like he was torn with doing so. Knowing how much pain it will cause her if she got her full memories back. Emilia also needs to learn not to run away from her problems. That's a lot easier said than done, but the act she pulled is very childish. Her calling the few people who truly love her liars also is not right. I know she hurt, but throwing your pain around at others never helps. Otto out here being the best of best friends. We all need an Otto in our lives. I can't wait to see this show down with Garfiel. First episode back was pure hype. 5/5 |

| Puck appeared after being away for the entirety of part 1 and now he's gone again, that asshole... Nothing has changed, I see. I still don't get half of the things that are happening in this anime lol I don't know if it's because I'm too dumb to understand anything or because I don't pay enough attention. I keep getting the timelines mixed up and I still don't know wtf the point of Garf's entire existence is or wtf Ros's trying to achieve lol. I don't even get what the witches are trying to do. |

I dont think so. In the conversation between Subaru and Roswaal, Subaru said "I'm going to save the Sanctuary and the mansion in this loop, whatever it takes". I think the crystal is just too small that they didnt try to detail it, hence looking like it's not broken. Might be wrong tho |

| Finally got around to binge-ing Part 1 and this episode. Oddly enough, I was supposed to finish the binge by 11:30 pm and then catch up with this episode but well, here I'm at 3:40 am. Damn, what a start to this episode though! Having watched Part 1 just a few minutes ago too definitely made the ride through this episode considerably more engaging, for one. Otto's moments at the start and at the end were glorious, first of all. Man, there just aren't enough superlatives to sate he's rising over the course of this arc. Subaru totally recharged and up for higher stakes challenging the likes of the witty Roswaal like that was fantastic to watch and I can't wait to see what how things progress from here onwards! Sad that he left Emilia alone however, I wonder why... Chibi Emilia! God, that's too adorable. Finally some backstory for her! And why, Puck?! 28 minutes first up. It's good to see that the team aren't shying away from taking full advantage of the time slots. |

| Solid start. Subaru sets up a grand bet with Rosewal which indicates that this half of the season is gonna be his perfect run. It also looks like we will focus on Emilia and her past this season which is much needed. Also, Otto the clear MVP. |

| So why did he left her bedside? I have a feeling he would get to get through big lengths and planning to assure Emilia completes the trail and to destroy both threat which happens at the same time. But he really can't be at two places at one time, right? Sooner or later we'll probably find out what he was doing at night or if did it on purpose to make her stronger. Anyway, good start. But I still wonder how much is there left from this arc, feels like 3 more episodes at best. |
| Loli Emilia is indeed really cute. =3 This second part of season 2 got off to a flying start, with Otto reminding us as to why he deserves the "best boy" tag, as he beat the crap out of Subaru in order to get his message across and, thankfully, it worked. It inspired Subaru enough to bounce back and made a very ambitious bet against Roswaal. I don't see it working just yet, but part of me wants Subaru's bet to succeed soon enough. =) As for Emilia, her moment when Puck broke the contract between them was rather sad. I was unlucky enough to get semi-spoiled by this scene thanks to Crunchyroll's collection video appearing on my Youtube recommendation list at the top of the page, which was VERY annoying, but despite that, it didn't take anything away from how sad this scene was. A mental note has been made to watch the next episode as soon as it comes out, so that I won't get caught out again by Youtube's feed. XD |

| Welp, bye, bye Puck, it was good while it lasted. If only it wouldn't leave Emilia even more heartbroken ;_; Really interested to see how Emilia's past was. Was good to see more bro moments between Subaru and Otto, as well as having Subaru stand up to Roswall. He said he's not gonna die in this timeline, but I honestly have my doubts. At the very least I expect him to die once this cour. Anyway, Godspeed to Subaru. |

| Nooo Puck :( I was wondering why he was not present in the first part of this season, but I guess him disappearing is good for Emilia's progress. That was sad though not gonna lie!! Solid start as usual. Let's see if the build up of the first part can carry over properly to this second part! |

It was said in the episode that the bet is either Subaru solves everything in this loop and Roswaal drops his Gospel to become an ally, and if Subaru loses the bet then it's pretty much implied he shall solve it in Roswaal's way (Episode 36), i.e. losing his humanity, focusing only on Emilia, and pretty much being Roswaal's puppet. This was explicited in the LN but the anime kinda rushed past it, so the anime instead relies on subtext. As for the WN stuff: |

Edit: Actually I just checked and apparently this is explained in the novel in next week's episode content. However it's just technical stuff and I'm sure White Fox will skip the explanation so you can read the spoiler if you want. |

I've recently catched up with both seasons and the OAVs (and fell in love with the whole Re:Zero franchise), I was used to watch 9-10 episodes in quick succession and could figure out things by myself easily. This is the first episode I watch weekly, so I still have to adapt to the different pace. This show has been explaining (almost) every single detail in different episodes, so I should have thought this would have been the case as well. Thanks a lot for the explanation! I'm in the process of retrieving at least all the volumes of the LN currently published in my language (Italian), I really want to know much more about the world of Re:Zero. |

If anything it's Season 1 that was rushed, the 2nd Half of season 1 adapted 6 LN Volumes, while Season 2 Part 1 adapted 3. |
