Seems there was a mix-up in the spreadsheet. I've confirmed that the gift you sent was given to the user with an elf note attached and I updated the post. Sorry for the error!

@haodepinglunjia Hit me up if the pics don't look good, I can try to fix them. Also, I don't know if the signature link doesn't work or you didn't write the proper BBCode, but it's not showing.

@Conde_Mohr It's working for me?! I might have some faulty URLs, since I tried uploading temporary mirrors to imgbb after imgur wasn't working. And no, the pics look amazing! I couldn't be happier, honestly. The aesthetic is pleasing and the seemless blending is masterful. But with the BBCCode, how would you recommend I fix it? I've never used a forum set before...

You have to use for it to show, with the url of the image (not the imgur post) between both pieces of code.
[img]https://i.imgur.com/7m760Q9.png[/img]

As an option, you can also center the image with
[center][img][/img][/center]
Or push it to a side with similar code. If you want to add some text, I recommend messing with
[img align=left][/img] (or [img align=right])

Other than that, I'm glad that you liked it. I'm not very familiar with making forum sets (most of mine have been crops or lazy edits), so I never know if it's good enough.

Sorry for the late response @Nat1v3, but thank you very much for the anime rec🙏🏻. I LOVE THEM, but I only had time to finish No Game No Life sadly, which I LOVED. Outside the ecchi part, which did not disturb me at all, THE ANIME was great, and also except the part that the anime ended suddenly, with no evidence of further ending 😳. I'm waiting for a second season😅. I'm looking forward to look at Haikyu!! and Wotakoi: Love is Hard for Otaku, which I'm 100% right that they'll be GREAT anime's. Thank you very much! 🙏🏻

Thanks to the helpers for running this fun event. It's one of the best MAL has to offer.

To my santa @busuko,

Thanks a lot for that wonderful rec! ♥ Gotta say that you sold that amazingly well. Reading your description really made me crave/want to watch them all. Honestly, it's been a while since someone was able to offer an anime so well. Very satisfied with you there xD

Watched the short bl one and although it has some conflicting things, it was good. The other two, haven't started them since I want to use them on the MAL AWC (anime challenge) but I already got them so just waiting for some free time to start.

Hope you got something good too!

No problem! I was a little worried since you've watched much much more than me, so I'm glad I found something that you can enjoy :)

Thanks to everyone involved for making such an awesome event! I'm a bit late to post, but this Secret Santa brightened my mood greatly!

@Conde_Mohr I have to say I have yet to watch the shows you've recommended, but I'm looking forward to. Planetes looks like a very suitable show for my tastes and I feel stupid for never checking Interstella5555.

@Marimo thank you for the awesome images you've created, I was not expecting such a great amount of awesomeness :)

Sorry for the late reply, big thanks to all the elves for organizing this event!

@Nikhileshs19
Oh man I've been meaning to give Serial Eperiments Lain a go but just recently finished Oyasumi Punpun so needed something more positive... and you delivered! I mean Gurren Lagann is awesome! I think I heard about it couple years ago and it was compared to Code Geass (which I liked but not a big fan of). The moment you said it was like FLCL I was sold! Also just forgot to add Trigun to my list, I watched half of it and in the process of finishing it. Nausicaä of the Valley of the Windis something Iwantedto watch for awhile so now I guess I have another reason to do it)

@nibor2806
So lets start with the ones I haven't touched yet. 1/11: Juuichi Bun no Ichi will check after I finish my current series. Though I'm not a fan of football, sports anime/manga has that little something which makes me completely invested (like I never thought to be interested in volleyball or runningand those were one of the most excited shows I've seen). 0 no Soukoushi - also haven't read but given I enjoyed Hyouka I think I'll like it. Now... Pluto! When I started it I thought togive it a quik read likea chapter or two.... then I found myself finishing the first vollume and movingto the next one.It's really is a blast to read. The moment North 2 said "I want to learn piano so I won't have to go back" is just crushing. So yeah deffinetely will finish it by the end of the week.

Again thanks to all Santas elves Happy Holidays and Great New Year!

First, I would like to thank all elves. You were very polite and did a great job correcting my careless mistakes. This was my first time to join in Secret Santa. Making recommendations were hard, but I enjoyed it.<3

@Kettune
Hello! I knew about Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru, but I hadn't checked it out yet. I've added it to PTW right away. It looks fun. Thank you!

@SuperComicGeek
Thank you for recommending me some titles. You are very knowledgeable about manga as your username^^. I hadn't known of Jitsu wa Watashi wa, and I've never read Psyren, so I'll give it a try! I forgot to put Pluto on my list, but it's my favorite manga too.

May this be a happy and fruitful year.

Hey @TheRiseofAnime

Thank you so much for your recommendations!

You sure gave me a lot of homework hahaha just kidding, I really appreciate that you took the time to find not just one but several series that suited what I’m in the mood for (at least right now).

Akame ga Kill has been on my mental “maybe I’ll watch it someday” list for a while; but the way you described it made me decide to start it. (I’ve only watched the first two episodes so I can’t really say much about it, but I’m really liking it so far).

All the other recommendations seem very interesting as well and I promise I’ll watch all of them (maybe when I finish, I’ll tell you my final thoughts, specially about the ones you haven’t watched yet).

Thank you again and of course shoutout to the elves who made this event possible, keep it up!

Happy new year!

I really enjoyed participating in this event! I would like to send a big thanks to the elves who made it possible.

@Jontronbanana16 I'm really enjoying your recommendation, Kareshi Kanojo no Jijou. I watched just a few episodes and I'm already hooked. Great anime, great characters and story. Thanks for the gift! You nailed it!
As for your second recommendation, Lupin III, I still didn't give it a try, but I'm sure it will be an interesting experience to see the early works of the Ghibli masters, Hayao Miyazaki and Isao Takahata. Again, thank you!

A big thank you to everyone involved in the event! Hope all the elves had a happy holiday season UwU

@nurkkasaatana

Thank you very much for your recs! I just finished Golden Kamuy and it was really good!! I'm not sure if I had it in my PTW but even if I did, I was probably not going to watch it soon so your message was very helpful. I actually liked all of the characters in the show (I thought they were very well built and relatable) and the storyline itself is interesting too. I enjoyed the way their stories intertwined and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing the other seasons sometime this year! Also the historical aspects of it are really interesting, I'll look more into the Ainu people as the way their culture and habits are represented in the anime is very intriguing.

Non Non Biyori was super relaxing and you actually hit a sweet spot with it because I'm a fan of everything related to the countryside :3 So wholesome and without worries, it was very cute. And once again, I have more seasons to look forward to! Hope you too found something to like in your gift!

@DeadlyRaven

Thank you for the elf note, it was really sweet of you to take the time. You were on point, I really like Asiripa, she's a great character and her origins and culture only add to the enjoyment. I also liked the humor in it, as expected, and I think it was really well done. While there were a lot of funny and ridiculous moments, it did not take away from the seriousness of the story. I think it only makes it feel more realistic, having this contrast between the drama and the fun times (as a side note to the fun parts: at times it felt like a cooking anime; it made me very hungry, lol). Hope you too received a nice gift!

@OfDeathandLove

Thank you so much for the recs. I have been meaning to give Oyasumi Punpun a try but since I was caught up in last year's MRC I just couldn't find the time. Because of your rec I will definitely fit it in this year's challenge, probably sometime this month.

While Copernicus no Kokyuu was not my favorite, I do see the appeal. I think the art was very expressive and I enjoyed the mood. I also liked the setting; since it revolves around the circus it felt a bit nostalgic.

And... the last one... Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan... it broke me. It was amazing and instantly went in my favorites. It's been a long time since an anime/manga managed to move me in any way so this was very refreshing. Despite it being so short it had a big impact and I think it was very well done. Thank you for that, I'm not sure I would've found it anytime soon if I were on my own! Hope you enjoyed your own gift! ^^

Thank you thank you thank you to all Santas and Elves and Mods and any1 else who helped make the event possible! This was my first time and I simply can't wait for next year. As someone who received an elf gift only (by request) I just want to say that the elf gifts were a great way for people who feel like "beginners" or "still newer" to anime/manga the chance to get a rec whereas they (myself included) would not have participated if elf gifts were not available. Just a thought!

Now that I have one event under my belt I feel much more confident going towards next year to participate in the gift exchange rather than only getting an elf gift.

Thanks again to everyone who made this possible!!!

I know I'm late but may I just mention that it was a really good idea to have an option for Elf Gifts?
I only completed 1 manga so far, so having the option to be recommended something is a fantastic option! Hopefully next year it's there again

I want to thank @Aidan for the cool anime gifts! I finished one of them and will give the other a watch sometime later! The first 3 episodes were amazing and I wasn't expecting at all for it to be so touching. Hestia is such a good character, she genuinely cares and wants to improve for the sake of her familia. For years I thought she was simply a comedy relief character but nope she's great! The stuff with Lili was a bit frustrating to watch but it did pick up again later on.

I also want to thank @Redth_SA for picking the thoughtful manga gifts!
Unfortunately due to covid stock shortages I could only get my hands on the first volume of Spirit Circle. I read it and it looks to be up my alley so I'll be getting the others once I'm able to. I'm looking forward to finding out more about the guardian characters and the spirit rings. I'm also excited to check out the other two once stock for both of them becomes available.

And last but not least, thanks to the host(s) for hosting this event!
These are probably the most creative recommendations I've gotten since joining MAL

I hope it's OK I tagged both the santas in this post, if not just shoot me a PM and I'll remove the tag(s)

Thank you so much for your recommendations @Nekojita12 ! I was planning to start watching both of your recommendations before writing this, but I couldn't bring myself to take a break from Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru. I absolutely love that anime, I still have few episodes left but oh my. It was the perfect gift for me, because I have some background in running and I can relate to this anime on a very personal level. I will definitely watch the other recommendation and honor mentions soon, they all seemed like a great fit to me.<3 I got the most perfect gift from you!

Thank you to @goldblaziken and @Dancho for your requests!! I got three this year, I felt very lucky ^-^

Unfortunately, I've already been trying to catch up with a bunch of other shows as of late, so I've only been able to start one. Since A Place Further Than The Universe is shortest (obviously the Eizouken similarities appealed to me too!), I started that first. I'm only a couple of episodes in but I think it's very cute! Once I finish my recommendations, I'd love to update you both individually. I can tell you put thought into your recs and I'm very excited! I've heard good things about all of these.

Until then. Also, thank you to the Elves for setting up this event! Happy New Year!

@CukieMunster

I finally have time to try some of your recs, and I decided to go with Deca-Dence. I was already spoiled for the main twists, and so far I'm really liking the post-apocalyptic setting and Natsume is a total cutie. Plus I also like age-gaps, so while the relationship between her and Kaburagi isn't specifically romantic, it's still pretty satisfying in that respect.
