| I really do want to read the manga because I'm a fan of battle manga in general and One Piece seems like the kind of thing I would love. Besides, its the only one of the so-called "Big Three" I haven't read yet. Its length isn't really a deterrent to me but I don't really enjoy reading ongoing series because of the wait times. Call me spoilt but I don't really wanna spend the next 5+ years waiting for Oda to finish a story that's been going on for over 20+ years. |

| Stories come with their own set of issues when they get way to long. From what I've see the stories can be pretty good in OP but the lenght, artstyle and childish nature kill that anime for me. ( Well and Luffy being just generic shonen MC) I don't think it's super bad. It's just super not what I'm looking for |

After watching episode 24, I was convinced it was a great show. After finishing episode 37, I was convinced it was a masterpiece and then it continued to deliver and deliver, and it still stands up now. Just try it once, if you can watch till ep 37 and still think that it's just an alright show at best, then drop it by all means. |

| I chose to read the manga since I heard about the aime's pacing. Only took about 6 weeks ish which for about 1000 chapters is not too bad since I've heard from my friends taking 3+ months to watch the anime. I enjoyed it very much. However you decide to experience it I hope enjoy it. |

| It's a valid excuse, it's hard to risk wasting that much time for an unknown value. And if I'm to give my input, everything beyond the time skip is worthless for the technical reasons. They should just read the manga instead. |

| The best thing is that most people who are willing to give it a shot end up being surprised how smoothly they're getting through the episodes. On the paper you could say the pace is slow, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's bad(the anime has still big pacing issues later on), once you're into a bigger arc the episodes are flowing really well and you don't want to stop. I agree that 900+ episodes of your average series would seem hella daunting, but One Piece is a different tier. |
