| Well, at least we got to see that pose from Kawamatsu, Raizo, Hyogoro, Kiku, Chopper, and Luffy. That was probably the highlight of this episode. Also wth was with that Zoro part, felt too out of place IMO. |

Also the scene where big mom is on the ship heading to onigashima, was pure filler. It did not exist in the manga so that was way out of place. Its obvous they used those 2 scenes to pad out the episode a bit but in reality this episode actually moved pretty quickly. It adapted about A chapter in a half worth of material. We have certainly had alot worse with some episodes previously adapting as little as 8 pages worth of content. Over all this episode was not bad but one of the best cliffhangers in the manga of CH 948 called "Kwamatsu the Kappa"was actually the reveal of the scabbards and the pose they made with luffy as kiku reveals his true identity. All of this well introducing Kwamatsu was all in one single chapter. It was perfectly paced within that single chapter and readers just loved it. It felt a bit out of place being in the middle of this current episode. I would have loved to see this as a cliffhanger, people would have been really amped for the next episode but oh well. You can kind of tell based on the ending, that the episode ended pretty abruptly, it was not your usual manga cliffhanger. |

Though honestly what one piece female character do you know that doesn't have big breasts? This should have been the dead give away. Because this character is totally flat chested. lol Sanji just can't catch a break, maybe because he spent so much time training as an Okama, his fate is doomed to repeat it self. |

| The animation was a treat again, I like how that's becoming a trend, hope it continues all the way to the end! This was a nice episode, we finally got scenes other than the ones in Udon, and the revealing the Akazaya Nine and Kawamatsu in full gear. And Kiku was a man. Okay. |
| Kappa is back and 3 of the Akazaya Nine is together in the prison. Kaido’s underlings started a plague with bullets. It was a good episode. |

| For half a second I thought that Yokozuna Kawamatsu was in some way related to the sumo wrestling frog Yokozuna from Water 7 until I remembered it was a sumo title that we've already heard in this arc. Oops. Well good to know! It's interesting that Kiku is a transwoman(?). In Zoro's narrative, needing to fight a strong female warrior and treat them as he would a man could be a huge moment. Seeing his past comes from encouraging Kuina that she could overcome her gender limitations yet refused to treat Tashigi or Monet seriously for major examples. Someone else said that only men have traditionally been swordsman in the present excluding Tashigi which leads me to wonder if Kiku will play into these ideas. |

| So they finally revealed Kiku being a man. Even if there were some little hints it's still crazy to believe. I wonder if he always looked like that or if he maybe was more masculine in the past. His mask definitely looked very intimidating. Finally Kawamatsu got his full introduction and what an epic entry it was. I really loved the animation when he used his Kappa Style: River of Retribution. I'm sure Zoro would like this guy just alone from the stand point as a swordsman. Hyugoro also finally showed what he's still able to do. The whole reunion of 3 of the Akazaya Nine was the highlight of the episode. I agree with the Big Mom and Zoro scene. Both felt just like to fill the episode. |

| I feel the eps. are ok paced. It doesn't feel that much dragged or extended, and we saw a lot. First, I loved their epic stance . Interesting to see their techniques. Secondly, it was good to see Zoro freed his sword. That dude that attacked them looks strong, though it didn't appear so. I wonder if we will see him again, which is hopefully the case. What was really funny is the Corona joke they pulled on us . It's nice to see they are updated and don't live under a stone — a funny joke to see one of the soldiers wearing a mask. Lastly, sadly we get to know Kiku was a man. I spoiled this to myself by searching for his name, but it came as a shock to me even when I read it. Well, I can imagine, can't I? As I can fantasize about gender bender Haku, I can also do the same for Kiku. LOL. Next ep. Luffy is going to offer his own life for the prisoners. I can't wait to see the cliche in that. :P |

| Damn, they're so strong! Not only did they beat fodder pirate A and B, they even managed to defeat fodder pirate C and D, very impressive. Looks like they'll be up against fodder pirate E and F in the next episode though, can't wait to see that fight! |

Including ofc, the reveal that Kiku is a guy with a woman's heart, lol I've been waiting for that! I realized that I've never actually seen Zoro scene that was in this ep, in the manga. Still, if it gives more to the Wano-Esque atmosphere, so be it. |
