| By trashy, I mean that it's so bad it's good. I don't mean just a lot of ecchi or random bullshit, but true, pure dumpster fires. I mean things like Domestic na Kanojo, Oreimo, Kuzu no Honkai, and this season's Kanojo Okarishimasu. Again, this isn't referring to anime that are just straight trash and unejoyable, like Eromanga Sensei or School Days, or are just really edgy, like Akame ga Kill or Arifureta. |

The first two are definitely trashy, though unlike Ousama Game, Killing Bites isn't nearly as self serious and seems to know what it is and revels in that fact. Gokudolls isn't that trashy, but it's pretty low budget, and the jokes aren't the most clever, but god damn does it get a laugh out of me, I unironically enjoy it. Gokudolls isn't really a trashy so-bad-it's-good series, but it's definitely a lesser tier show that I enjoy because it's pandering to me and my love of silly Yakuza shenanigans. |

| Puni Puni Poemi. That show is raunchy as all fuck but I used to laugh my ass off watching it as a teen. I remember renting the dvd at Blockbuster, which is kinda funny in retrospect. A friend even gave me the dvd as a gift lol. Plus Puni Puni Poemi had legit Jojo references long before it was a meme lol. |

I understand that it was trying to portray the selfish and darker side of love that is rarely shown in anime, but at some point, it crossed the line, and went from a look at self destructive romance, into the "You Shouldn't Be Having Sex " simulator. Seriously this was a double love triangle, wherein characters from both love triangles were also interested in each other. You've got the surprise best friend that was secretly lesbian, the childhood friend who is fine being emotionally bazooka-ed by the male lead, the secretly sociopathic teacher who sleeps with men because it boosts her own ego, and the two leads, who just so happen to both have crushes on people who are not only a decade older than they are, but also coincidentally teaching at the same school together. Forced drama for the sake of romantic tension isn't necessarily always awful, but it's very hard to pull of tasteful. In the case of kuzu no honkai, not only is the forced drama not tastefully done, but it bypasses just being kinda bad and annoying, and goes into being comical. Again, this could have been pulled off fine if the studio covered the story in maybe 20 or so episodes and gave the supporting cast better characterization, but that didn't even come close to happening. I only finished the show to see what kind of spectacle it would end up being, and it was so ridiculous that I'd say it was definitely worth the time I spent watching it. I will say though, the ending was very well done, and embodies the themes that kuzu no honkai appeared to be trying to rely throughout its whole run time. Deciding to not have the leads link up at the end actually portrays their growth in knowledge about relationships with others, and is kinda poetic. If only the rest of the story had that level of maturity. |

I don't thik it was that forced though and Mugi had plenty of sex with the teacher and he had other girls too, he couldn't do it with Hanabi because he was afraid of what will come next, he had strong feelings for her. It was much better than 90% of all romance anime that I saw Imo. |

I just remember that when I first watched it, I was over focused on the bizarre set up to much that I might not have really zeroed in on a lot of the important emotional parts. Again I don’t think it’s great really, but I will say that it sets itself apart from 90% if other romance anime by its tone. If you liked kuzu no honkai, you’d probably like white album 2. It has some of the same themes about self-serving love, but has less of the forced drama aspect I was talking about from kuzu no honkai. |

| One man's trash is another man's masterpiece. Especially so when it comes to highly rated anime, because I wouldn't consider some of the suggestions here not even trash (e.g. Prison School). I mean, one of the best live action movies of all time is "Pulp Fiction", and it's both trash and a masterpiece acclaimed by critics. Right? That said, here are some of my 7s which for a majority of people should qualify as "trashy". They are still in the best 25% of all anime I watched.
