Whoa, this episode was pretty serious and in fact, I can't believe even guns were involved at one point.

That save though...holy shit.
Heine would of been shot if it wasn't for that timely body block. This episode really took a darker turn.

The princes did a good job tracking down the journalist. Got to learn more about Heine from the king. They go way back. The king got in front of the shot that could have hit Heine. It's sad he was jailed. They promised each other to keep it a secret afterwards. It's also sad that Heine resigned. He's a great tutor.

That was great and gave me goosebumps when i learned about all the orphans surviving in an underground shelter. Heine being the one who lead all of them, giving them food and learning how to work together with them.

Viktor x Heine, the friendship is great.

Very strong end plot-wise and judging by the preview, every prince will shine once more.

Wow, didn't expect Heine and Victor to have this kind of past. Victor even sacrificed himself, which puts their friendship on a whole different level.

These stupid soldiers, though. Making up such a fucking lie, to cover up their mistake. Btw which fucking idiot would fire when the prince is close to the target, they should get executed, imprisoned or at least loose their jobs ffs. Ok I'm gonna stop with the rant xD

Overall, I liked the more serious tone of this episode. Heine is gone and I can't wait to see how this show will wrap up next week.

The anime went from silly and cute to serious and angsty real quick. This was the best episode, I'm shook. But wait wait I'm not ready for the last episode yet. o.O

This episode took a serious turn.

I have full respect for Haine. Taking care of all the orphanage in that underground shelter. But who took care of them after Haine was imprisoned?

The friendship between Viktor and Haine is truly amazing. Haine was only thinking of Viktor's health all this time and didn't care about his own innocence. Loved it.

I liked the episode a lot as well.

I'm not sure in the soldiers minds it was a lie. They came up with a rationalize that fit with their initial idea that the prince had been kidnapped. They did see that Heine had had possession of the prince's watch. "After kidnapping the prince, he stole his watch. When we found them, he used the prince as a shield." In my view it was a rationalization. Not a very good one, because it did not fit with everything they had observed, but one that sort of fit with their understanding of the situation. Also note that the King said that Heine never tried to claim innocence, but instead constantly prayed. There was no counter-story for the police to investigate.

Wow the long awaited episode exploring Heine's past...and it did not disappoint! Heine and Viktor had quite the past together and I would never have expected that Heine started as an orphan. So Heine has resigned from his post as the Royal Tutor :( but the princes will have something to say about that next episode and I expect a truly heartwarming end to the anime!
I shall rule over the realms of anime and manga! Mwahhahahahaha!!!

A nice episode it was. The pair's past was epic, friendship goal for us. Some speculate that Viktor opted out some events that happened then but... I think it's fine the way it is now. Also, I respect Haine for all his efforts from an illiterate child to a knowledgeable sensei about all fields of subjects and skills.

Looking forward to what the last lesson will be~

This was such an intense episode. I liked the story about Heine and Viktor past and it was so sad.

Can't wait for the final episode, but I'm afraid that Heine won't come back because of the title.

Caught up to the anime within two days and honestly - I didn't except it to be this much fun. It was a pleasant surprise for me. Now that I think it ends somewhere next week, I am truly gonna miss it.

Jumping to conclusions is pretty much the same as telling a lie. After Victor was shot the soldier definitely sounded like he just wanted to cover up his mistake. I agree with you that everything that happened afterwards easily fitted their idea, but my problem was the moment of the shot itself. The way Victor was jumping in front of the bullet with his arms open didn't look remotely close like it that Heine used him as a shield. Heine was even running in front with his back towards the soldiers and Victor. Theoretically it would've been pretty easy for Victor to escape.

Taking this into account it's questionable why they shot in the first place, since the prince wasn't even in danger. The ones who made this situation dangerous were the soldiers.

Sure everything was shown from our pov and therefore it's easier for us to grasp everything than for the ones who were there, but it's hard to believe that the soldier who shot didn't exaggerate the situation just to be free of guilt.

like I said I'm not disagreeing with your opinion I'm just stating my thoughts on this. I hope you understand my point.

The backstory of the king and Heine was really predictable. But it was still a good watch. However, I don't if I have missed sth but why does Heine want to keep it a secret, so much that he would leave if it's out? I just don't get that.

I really loved this episode.Although i expected something more with how Haine is so skilled in many different areas and how he does not want anyone to learn about his past,i was left pleasantly suprised and satisfied with what i got.I love Haine even more now and i have to admit that his relationship with Victor is wonderful and sweet. The soldiers were truly awful, jumping to conclusions and using a child as a scapegoat in order to put the blame on for something they did wrong.I felt really bad for Haine. And am i the only one to think so,or is there anyone else who thinks that Haine was really beautiful in the past?

Where did Heine learn everything from if he didn't know how to read and write though??
Other than that, very decent ep.

I agree that openness would have been the best policy. Perhaps as the prince's were first getting to know him, it made sense. Growing to trust someone who may have attempted to kill your father would be difficult, particularly with the King being away until weeks after Heine began teaching. Once the King got back, though, they could have met with the princes together and explained everything.

Another possibility is that Heine is concerned for his past students. Maybe he didn't want people to look down and possibly distrust them because they had been taught by an "assassin". This might explain why he wanted to keep it secret, but once the word about his past was out, I don't think disappearing will change anything for them.

I do, and it is valid interpretation. I was offering another possibility, not the Only Truth. I try to keep in mind Hanlon's Razor:

Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.

It is possible the soldiers did act with malice and lies. Statistically though, stupidity, followed by rationalization, are more common. Shooting at Heine, who was so close to the prince, was pretty stupid.

Malice sounds harsh, though. Maybe more like afraid of getting punished and therefore don't bother to explain it which is technically a lie somehow, the result may be the same, it just doesn't make the person look that bad or evil.

In any case your view is pretty interesting and I'm glad that we could at least agree that the behaviour of the soldier was kinda stupid xD

I understand that either the king nor Heine would tell them when Heine was just getting to know the princes (and we know that they weren't exactly excited about his arrival), but the king just explained now how it's all a misunderstanding, even the former king pardoned him when knowing the truth. And as you said disappearing wouldn't change anything, not at this point, since the princes are obviously fond of him, and trust him. And they had no reason not to believe the king. We also don't know if Heine had other students before. What I also don't get is, why then, when he was cleared of the crime it wasn't announced officially or sth. It doesn't really make sense to me. I hope there will be an explaination in the final episode, and that this whole thing wasn't just for the sake of forced drama.

Maybe because it would then bring up the issue of how Heine and Viktor got to know each other in the first place, which was of course because the Viktor used to sneak out of the palace etc. etc. And this would only serve to complicate things even more since people would eventually create more rumors and twisting the truth even further. Also, the issue probably died down a bit by the time Viktor recovered so maybe they thought that there was no need to stir up the issue again. So they just let it be since the important thing was Heine was set free and his name was cleared, at least with the former king and stuff.

Well, that's what I think, there may be an explanation in the next episode at any rate. Or there may not be lol. But that's my take on why they decided not to announce it officially and stuff.

Hm, yeah. That's a good explaination, I can live with that.;D I didn't think of Viktor's position, but it makes sense. It's just that I'd like to have some justice for Heine, even if his name was cleared for the former king. He still has to hide his past, unnecessarily so. And we saw how it turned out for him... Oh, well. I'm sure there will be a happy ending, the princes would prob do sth to get Heine back in the next epi and all will be good. xD
