Even after they are dissolved, it looks like the idols are connected by their strong bond with each other.

It's pretty late in the series but seeing Nicole's childhood background is interesting. Seems she's changed a bit since being part of 22/7.

This was a sad episode. Not going to lie, it made me cry a little.

I ended up rooting for Miu when she was hitting that bully.

Wasn't expecting that honestly. Thought Nicole was gonna have a normal childhood, and be the confident person she is. But that wouldn't make for much of a story now would it? But it's interesting to see that she and Miu knew each other way back then!

Makes me wonder...Would that event shattered Miu's confidence? She protected someone she wanted to befriend, but basically got taken away from such friend and got yelled at for it. As a kid, she prob could've took it as 'Don't say your mind, otherwise you'll get yelled at for it.' As if she'd stayed, more than likely would've been a bit more confident, or how she is now.

No idol anime is complete without a bullying episode

This episode got me heated I can’t lie. Brought back Koe no katachi memories. I fucking hate bullies. Picking on her out of nothing but jealousy.

Miu a real ass friend. She just started beating that girl up in the middle of the play lmaooo, no words exchanged or anything. Everyone needs friends like that.

Seeing the girls meet up and cry broke me down. We had just got to the point where everyone was feeling comfortable around each other and truly becoming friends and then the wall does this. My theory is that the wall wants to bring them closer. The first time they came together was because they were forced to do so. Maybe the wall wants them to do it again, but to choose it for themselves this time

One episode to go, I hope we get a season 2 of this. Like most idol girl shows it’s not popular in the west, but seems to do well in Japan

Edit: post credits scene kinda seems to confirm that.

@Marinate1016 I would recall Love Live or IMAS, but in the case of this franchise, it would be more accurate to say "all but Sally are not popular in the West."

lol that teacher is garbage. Nicole was clearly getting forced into the role and she even was signalling that she didn't want the role herself yet she's all like "ok I'm gonna write your name down now lul"

But man the OST during that flashback was great. main question though is how did nicole end up being the angsty-chan that she is today. I guess you could say because of the bullying, but it never really implied whether it continued or not after Miu going all savage. Talking about Miu you can tell she's the protagonist with how she goes massively out of her way to help someone in her childhood, yet can barely even remember said person's face all those years later (even though their faces are exactly the same)

if you're gonna do a whole Love Live cry whilst reminiscing of the memories at least do it at the end of a 2nd season :P

with one ep to go I'm still curious as to what shitty reason the Wall has for choosing to disband the group.

also is it just me or does Miu sound like the girl from the Konbini horror game lol

Idk why but Miu gave me trans vibe, I could see how her most precious thing connects to her family if she remained indifferent towards the bullying but that could very well had double meaning, plus her boyish tomboyish fashion sense, her being nihilistic, I could be wrong tho, we'll know next episode probably if she gets a backstory

But nice tackle and ground and pound

Do you consider the character trans only because she is tomboy and angsty? Many asocial girls are tomboy, because the socialization of women depends largely on their relevance to the female gender role. Especially in a patriarchal country like Japan. Its don't Zombieland Saga

biblethumps for all the girls they just want to be together , kinda see why Nicole was the way she was the Miu seeing her former self in her and it unchanged from when they were kids but at the same time she sorta saved her despite Miu not remembering her so i guess it was some kind of personal resentment.

ending was both unexpected and expected was thinking a order was gonna come down but it talked...no idea what this last episode will be like

I gave 3 reasons tho, but ofc the first one is just a theory and if I'm right, it supports the other two reasons. Plus I do agree that she's an angsty edgy emo and I love it but angsty is quite far from being nihilistic

The last girl of 22/7 to get featured: Nicole Saito. Like Miu, she's the cowardly type, and honestly, at first glance, it's difficult to see both her and Nicole apart, if not for this similar backstory that saw both together in the same light.

Two outcasted girls that are constantly bullied for their own weaknesses, but Miu in her infinite wisdom, stood up to them during their class play and protected Nicole without any words. It's then that she saw Miu's shadow within her, and continued to walk within her future path (to where she is now).

With the consensus of the girls meeting up consciously back at their former HQ, it's nice that everyone has the same emotion, albeit different feelings since the month-separation apart. What's no mistake is through their own separate backstories and journeys together as 22/7 the past 10 episodes, it was time well spent on their part and breaking out of their comfort zones, as dumb as it sounds. And now, to end this journey well post-separation.

Nice ending song from Nicole, the last solo performer before the finale next week.

The Wall speaks for the first time...? The ending is so unnerving and unexpected.

Wait theres a lot of going on my mind while and after watchin this specific episode

So first, why Miu looks like a hentai protagonist when she was a child xD then why the fuck she didnt remembered Nicole, id still remembered the people i met when i was little not the names but i still remembered their faces.

Second, this episode was enough to consider Nicole as one of my fav in the group she reminds me a lot of myself when i was a little except in bullying part, i stuttered a lot too back then but now im fine i still stutter just a little lol

Third, lmao i laughed so hard when Miu suddenly jump on the girl who bullying Nicole on the play and beat her so bad im like wtf just happened but thats alpha af

Overall great episode.
Thats explain why Nicole so into Miu in previous episodes.

Nicorun, Ran ran, Ai/ Robot and Christel thats a weird nice nicknames xD

I still try to figure out what the show is actually about, alien live?
Kind of obvious that the wall will do something for them to get together again, but what irked me the whole time is the fact that they could just disband and rebrand without the wall as the group.
They might fear that they won't be as big or that the organization behind them was crucial to their success, both would be undoubtedly true, but nothing stops them to do together what they came to like.

But whatever, I don't get this show at all anyway, so what do I know, I am here still trying to figure out what the show is actually about (apart from the music).

best episode so far. Miyu brutally beating up Snow White.

also, the only reason Nicole is angry at her at the start is because Miyu did not remember her?

Sakura first to come back to the abandoned building.. brave to come back alone to a deserted complex.

Wall-san can talk!

looking forward to next episode. :)

That was unexpected, I thought it was just going to be that Nicole would be a success thanks to Miu and after that Nicole would get some confidence, then I assume Miu would bring the apple but suddenly she started kicking that bully's ass.

I feel the wall is Goudo the bodyguard. Nico child so cute and Miu save her precious thing. Idk Nico have that kind of relationshi with Miu. They are reunion in the room of GIP and start to crying together. What a touchy moment and suddenly the wall is spoken.

The story is pretty strong. I teared up a little because of emotional scene at the end. But of course the Wall will restore the group after this lesson or whatever.
Only thing i don't understand: why did Miu completely forgot about Nicole? I mean Nicole is not the person you can easily forget.

If Nicole knew Miu beforehand, and was indebted toward Miu for saving her from getting ridiculed on stage and encouraging her to become an idol, what was with Nicole's initial aggression? Was she upset that Miu didn't remember her or something? Really, what was up with that first episode? The center drama didn't matter because the members traded off leadership depending on the job, and the initial animosity didn't make sense because Nicole seemingly wanted to thank Miu for helping her all those years ago.

Anyways, my headcanon is that the wall knew these characters had built up childhood trauma, and thereby used idoling for therapeutic purposes. Now that they've mostly come to peace with their issues, it's time to move on, and thereby "graduate" from idol activities. Then again, it's uncertain as only these characters were chosen to get help, but whatever works I guess.

Not gonna lie, i remembered the main flashback plot between Nicole and Miu but didn't with the extent of how deep and mean spirited were the actions of those bullies. No, it wasn't a misguided attempt to make her stand out for a greater good, no, just bullying. And now, i respect Miu even harder for interrupting the stage play and standing up for Saito no matter the consequences.

Nicole was clearly getting forced into the role and she even was signalling that she didn't want the role herself yet she's all like "ok I'm gonna write your name down now lul"

yeah. Now it probably explains it was just the teacher failing at her job and mean girls just being mean girls.

Cool that that entire disbanded group reunited after one month in the abandoned ex headquarters, even if there must exist a justified reason for the ID card to have properly worked and letting the girls in with no trouble. It's just natural they miss each other and started crying (i didn't, but 20+ minutes after i finished rewatching a single tear came out somehow), even after Ayaka casually roasting the entire bunch, and Miyako's "i just wanted to stay in 22/7 so much longer" is triple size depressing also for meta reasons beyond the animated adaptation. Oh, wait, the Cat / Wall told something.
(save your time and don't try to comfort when i rant on casual discussion or forum games, feel free to ignore me, i won't take it personally)
