The “Best Animation” prize was given to Violet Evergarden, MHA S2, and Yuri on Ice. I’m pretty sure you may be referring to Yuri on Ice or perhaps MHA S2, but at least they improved by giving VE it’s rightfully deserved category. CRAA imo are slightly getting better each year. It’s understandable why the popular shows are picked for the categories though. If a show is popular, it usually means it is good. Contenders this year for plenty of the categories will be MP100, AoT, KnY, Vinland Saga, Love is War, etc. These shows are popular because each of them have something that makes the show great, whether that be its characters, animation, etc. However I think they did a better job last year in adding other picks into categories instead of just throwing the popular shows in all of the categories. Perhaps they will do better this year. All in all, some of the categories are open to discussion any time, I mean you can't argue that your couple was better than the couple CR awarded, or that your waifu is better than the one that won the best girl category. Yes, popular means good but there are some stuff there not that known that have better writing/animation stuff. Idk, if you guys like this stuff, go for it. I put in my favs for the prizes because it looked interesting, everyone loves prizes. |

I'm sure AoT, Kimetsu no Yaiba, and Yakusoku no Neverland will get nominated for most of the categories and win. The categories are pretty bland as well. What about best sequel? Best comedy? Best original anime? Best movie? Best sports anime? Best side character? Best finale? Best cast of characters? The list can go on and on. I try to not fully hate the awards like most people do every year because I think they can be a fun way to wrap up the year, but man, it's hard to care for an awards show when they disappoint more than surprise. |

Garou isn’t given the love he deserves, the failed project of S2 made it look worse for him, but I think he deserves more love. Heck people are picking Muzan (Michael Jackson) over him when Muzan gets like 4 scenes of non-impactful screen time. Yeah, Garou is a really amazing villain, and he completely stole the show. If S2 had S1's animation, people would have actually cared more for him. |
