I think that's a bit of Legosi showing his natural animal instincts. Such a badass though. He's doing anything possible to protect Haru.

She's so lucky to have someone like Legosi in her life tbh. Quite an emotional episode imo.

Rhino-chan :(

I loved the animation they did for the boss fight. So fluid. And seeing Legosi flip around was a delight. And that dutch angle scene of louis shooting off the boss, even tho it was sorta cencored, was done pretty well. Props to studio orange.

The use of the mirror in that hotel room was pretty good too.

Sound design always top notch in every epiosde. This wasnt any less.

Damn, there's only one more episode? Welp, guess I'll have to read the manga then.

Amazing episode. Just like they did with Houseki no Kuni, Studio Orange proves yet again that they can do pure 3d anime better than anyone. Amazing fight, excellent sound and even better character development. Can't wait for the final episode (and season 2 please)

Well, kudos to Studio Orange again! When your gaze is literally fixed to the screen ...
Fight was incredible - quite different from last week's "martial arts" like fight, we really had a lot of camera movement and insane animation.

Toward the hotel, I really loved the escalator metaphor; even though it's a metaphor, so much effort was put into it.

And the finale where Legosi laid bare some details Haru was already aware of ... How he consciously recreated the "first encounter" scene and how the actual scenery is shown ... all blended with both of them getting intimate and romantic ...
Probably one of the best anime scenes of this season in terms of buildup and visuals.
Here the anime really was able to convey much more than the manga IMO; because a manga is only able to show as much xD

Btw, teriyaki looked amazing ... and I had to giggle when Legosi blushed
They say there's no such place... as Paradise. Even if you search to the ends of the earth, there's nothing there. No matter how far you walk, it's always the same road. It just goes on and on. But in spite of that, why am I so driven to find it? A voice calls to me. It says 'Search for Paradise!' "

Episode 8: "you idiot! These days, a carnivore can get arrested just by talking loudly to a herbivore!"

Episode 11: a big gray wolf, covered in blood, is walking with a naked rabbit in the middle of the night. However, there's literally no reaction from others animals.

The sequence of events feels so surreal. Legosi finished his fight, Louis shows up with a gun and kills the boss, next we see Legosi and Haru chilling and eating like nothing happened...I liked the hotel part though.

This episode had everything, I think this was the best episode in the series by far. The fight scene and the mirror scene in the bedroom were beautifully animated and really high quality. Really emotionally heavy of an episode as well but it also had a very funny moment with how Haru teased Legosi outside the hotel.

Fan-fucking-tastic! Holy shit that was the best episode of the show so far, the animation was so fucking well-done for the first half; the pacing was absolutely solid, the voice acting was once again absolutely brilliant especially for the second half and MAN the directing in this show is next-level at times. The entirety of the last scenes with Legosi and Haru in the love hotel were so fucking built off of mood it felt incredibly intimate. Sasuga Orange, god I'm really going to miss this show when it's done airing...

Legosi finally letting go was amazing, it was great to see him turn into a "monster" in front of Haru.

That final scene is amazing - nature vs nurture

Louis is merciless.
Whoa, Legosi told her it was him who tried to attack her and she told him she was already suspicious. Interesting.
Whoa, do rabbits instinctively react to be eaten.

The only thing I could think of in the latter parts was if Legoshi's tail was reminiscent of an erection. Anyways, really great episode. I liked it all around. My internal scream for the last episode is high, I'm hoping for a somewhat satisfactory ending + 2nd season.

Well, that was intense. I mean, Legosi was great, but when Louis just suddenly showed up (WITH A GUN), blew a guy's head off, and then just said: "go and fuckin' eat me!" Like, damn.

Also, Jack is still best bro, and his small animations are adorable. And that moment where Legosi's mind went upward VERY fast... probably like another part of his body. I don't blame the guy, and then just "Eh?"

And what a cliffhanger.
"You know you've reached peak quality when a doujin is better than the actual source series." (Eg. To LOVE-Ru)

Just to list a couple of biases.
Likes: A good story, characters, writing, romance, a good plot twist or something that breaks expectations (In a good way), 'backstory' and justice.
Dislikes: Bad romance, too much fanservice, the harem genre, yuri, yaoi, and bad writing.

Haru: OwO what's this? ok no

This ep was pretty intense, had some mixed feelings about it here and there. Thought there would be some wholesome scenes without the instincts kicking in at some point, then Haru went and did it instead of Legosi this time, by trying to be a willing v word prey. Sigh Not happy about it, but the rest was epic or adorable.
I hope Gouhin is doing fine, and Louis too, though I don't like Louis all that much. Jack is still being a bro.

This episode had some really amazing scenes. The fight in the beginning was pretty great. The mirror scene was an amazing moment. And the escalator scene also got a lot more attention than I would've suspected. Orange also nailed the end of the episode, whereas the corresponding manga chapter actually goes on for a couple more pages. I think this is my favorite episode of anime this year, especially from a production perspective.

Voice performances were great again. Legosi's timid responses were really good for the situation. I like his VA a lot, think he gets the character.

Similarly to the manga I still don't completely get Haru's reaction at the end. I never found a satisfying article detailing that rabbits would act this way. Maybe they sacrifice themselves if it will help the rest of the herd? Of course, what it metaphorically stands for is explained right in the next scene, so maybe it should not be taken too literally as "rabbit behaviour"?

Certainly the most intense episode so far. Louis totally flipping out definitely caught me off guard. I get the feeling there are maybe some bits of the manga focusing on Louis that were skipped in the anime, like a bit explaining where he got a gun from lmao. All the more reason for me to read the maga I guess!

Some of the imagery in this episode was amazing. The blood dripping from Legosi's mouth after his fight with the lion boss and the scene at the end with him and Haru reflected in the mirror will probably end up being some of the most memorable moments of the show for me.

I really hope this gets a second season!

And what's up with Louis? Is he dropping out of school to pursue a career in killing carnivores? Is he fully going into the underground world? Damn, I had high hopes for him. At least it completely makes sense due to his past and how the people at the top are corrupt anyway.

Man, I'm definitely reading the manga after next episode.

Can't believe there's only one more episode to go. I thought they might try to resolve Tem's murder arc in the anime, but they'd have to really rush things for that to happen. Loved the scene when Louis showed up and keeping money for emergencies in my shoe sounds like a good idea i have to say.

Iirc rabbits have an innate instinct where if they feel like they're likely to die they'll jump for the mouth of their predators so they can get their deaths over and done with. Not really a "survival instinct" and more like one that minimizes their suffering.

Orange are genuinely masters of directing I feel like, both Beastars and Houseki no Kuni have some absolutely fantastic direction in terms of shot composition and especially creative imagery. This and episode 4 are the massive stand-outs for me honestly, especially this episode, holy fuck the scene with Legosi and Haru reflected in the mirror was done so fucking well, this episode proved just how uniquely innovative CGI can be as a medium for animation because it took full advantage of it

Also come on, at this point I really am wondering if this show is getting vote-botted, every episode there are so many people giving this show 1's and 2's in the voting score when none of the episodes so far at all deserve that score. What's going on?

Maybe it's a way to tell us that when an herbivore(especially the small one like rabbits) got caught by a carnivore it's just better to die faster than have to wait or suffer anymore?

What an intense episode with Legosi fighting against the Shishigumi lion boss while saving Haru. Finally, he found his meaning and purpose in all that fighting, with Louis aiming the last blow in all his furiousness in not saving Haru instead.

In desperation, everyone who knew Legosi understanding rabbit language a.k.a Haru isn't that kind of carnivore to "devour", but looking where he is on the "stairway to adulthood", he's certainty not gonna let this night slip away.

Opening up to Haru and the whole reconciliation on-bed scene with the CGI seems so surreal, as with so many guys that have tried to have sex with her, Legosi's finally getting that taste of his own, with instincts taking over what could be said as a danger zone. That was frightening though...

It's sad that there's only one episode left...
