Yeah,I have read liar game and it is was very good on the first chapters,I am the type of guy who trials a manga by trying the first chapters and downloading the whole manga if I like it. I have downloaded liar game,hope it gets better as I read on!
anyway you know horror is unrealistic at times but you know what? Psychology: realistic horror. So I think you will like psychological mangas. I tell this because you liked liar game.
and as you will read homunculus on Sunday,take it slow because the supernatural factor is not exposed until the seventh chapter. The ability to read one's mind is an amazing ability, and the author makes it more unique through his imagination. And,the art is perfect.

If you like psychological thrillers,you should definitely gonna check out 20th century boys, it is the best manga I have ever read. You may not get anything at first,but the mystery unravels as you read on. And here are some further manga recommendations:
tsumi to batsu: a falsified romance - a spoiler: the world makes him a neet and then a murderer!
bokurano : a very deep and psychological mecha
dragon head : a must, don't know why it is rated 7.5!
kouishou rajio : more from the guy who made fuan no tane
hoshi no samidare : all of the people I know likes this manga including me.
koroshiya 1(ichi the killer): the violence in this one is very high and the art is top-notch.
I am a hero: first 8 or so chapters have no story,but then it becomes an awesome zombie thriller.
vagabond, kozure ookami, rurouni kenshin, blade of the immortal: you got to read one of these samurai mangas,at least one,nough said,the one I like the most here is kozure ookami,it is one of my favorites.
narutaru: read the first five chapters to decide.
monster(anime or manga): my favorite anime.
manhole : weak characters,they ruined this manga.
himizu : such a depressing story.
boku to issho : one of the best dark humor manga.
REAL : drama, psychological.
RRR : an awesome boxing manga,read the first chapter to decide.
vinland saga: so badass.
and when will you start reading homunculus,I am just curious,sorry if I am bothering you.
