| I expected the fight to be really a close one. But instead, we got a sneaky motherfucker. But as I though, I'm sure big eyebrow guy will win for two reason : - He's a fucking monster - They wouldn't have made such an introduction for him if he wasn't going to encounter Ippo. |

| Mashiba is a great villain. I'm kinda pulling for him to win, although that cliffhanger suggests a Miyata comeback. That's what I love about this show, the opposing fighters are always compelling enough to make me think they could win a fight, even though Ippo and Miyata have to be protected storyline wise. Lets face it though, Ippo has to lose a fight eventually. It just seems like the natural route to go in his character development. When the story does pull the trigger on him losing, you know his opponent will be the most solidly built opposing character. |

The stepping on the toes in boxing is by all means fair game.. if not caught. It happens in real boxing and refs cant catch that. Manny Pacquiao was caught in similar fashion against Juan Manuel Marquez this way. Sometimes fighters keep going after the bell whether animosity or not knowing where they're at. It is at the ref's discretion whether a fight is going to end or not.. there is no 100% surefire etiquette in boxing and all refs have their individual tendencies/leniency when stopping fights. |

| Mashiba was very pathetic throughout the fight and the only reason why he was able to even pull off that brutal counterattack was by stepping on Miyata's foot... I wonder what the girl has on her mind seeing this very unpleasant upset. |

| God, the side romance between Makunochi and Kumi is so cute. Wish I didn't see the character page for Kumi though, since there's an unmarked spoiler there, one that I really don't know how they could completely hide. That fight was pretty good, but that cheating was truly underhanded. That's some Carlos Rivera "Lucky Punch" level bullshit. |

| Yo! Isn't that illegal? I think stepping on someone's foot is totally not allowed in boxing. But again, I still wonder, if Mashiba did it purposefully or it simply happened. Well, I'm not surprised tbh, I knew the show would come up with something nasty to give an upset in the match, a little predictable. I think that it's the end for Miyata. The show will pull some card in the end to make Mashida win, against a boxer who was way above his league. Although it is evident that he wouldn't beat Miyata on fair grounds. But anyways, lets see... |
