The obligatory responses are, obviously, Mayoiga, Ousama Game, Kämpfer, Killing Bites, Teekyuu and Dies Irae (I disliked the episode 0 of this last one, but the series itself is stupidly enjoyable). All of them very dumb and with an score lower than 7 in the website, but holy fuck if I didn't had fun watching them. Juuni Taisen also counts, though I don't consider the series dumb.

Dog and Scissors, Soul Eater Not, and Kill me Baby are pretty good. Have to admit though, I watched them without seeing any score at all.

The problem is Sword Art Online is "highly rated" even in Japan.

That's why the controversial opinions all over the place lolz..

The only one that I can think of is Pokemon Sun and Moon (it currently has a 6.97).

While I know a lot of people hate it (and believe me, there are elements of it that I hate too), I usually enjoy the episodes that actually tie to the storyline. Basically, I usually like the episodes that are canon.
For example, Gladion is my favorite Pokemon character of all time, so I love every episode that he's in.
I loved the episode (Episode 51) where Gladion and Lillie went to (*SPOILER ALERT*) go rescue Lusamine from the Ultra Wormhole, I thought that that was one of the best episodes in Pokemon SM so far. (That battle of Gladion and Lillie vs. Totem Kommo-o was AWESOME)
I usually skip any episode that sounds like it's filler, unless if it has Team Skull or some other interesting element to it that I see in the preview.
So if the episode has to do with an Ultra Beast, an important new character like a Kahuna or Trial Captain being introduced, or some kind of important episode or battle, I'll watch it. I thoroughly enjoyed the episode that Ilima was introduced. I LOVED the Ash vs. Gladion second battle in episode 47.

So while there are a lot of things I dislike about Pokemon SM, there are some things that I find that I enjoy about the anime.

Well I'm starting to watch more obscure "edgy" late 80's - early 90's OVAs and movies and I have to say, despite their low ratings on this site they're pretty enjoyable. Sure, the stories aren't very good, but the animation is so friggin fluid and the action is top-notch. They're so kickass.

I'm watching Doomed Megalopolis right now which is based on Japanese literature and although I don't understand what the hell is going on half of the time, the consistently creepy atmosphere is unlike any anime I've seen. It actually feels dreadful, like horror should feel. No cutesy teenage angst modern anime bullshit to be found here.
And Lily C.A.T is criminally underrated. It is basically an Alien rip off, but it's also different enough to stand on its own. It has interesting themes of mortality and morally-grey characters. And again, the animation is top-quality stuff: all hand-drawn and super fluid action. It's the kind of stuff that would be shitty CGI if it was made today.
So now I'm excited to watch more 80's-90's OVAs/movies even though they have low ratings. I'm going to watch either Genocyber (which is apparently one of the goriest anime ever made) or Wicked City next. Should be either bizarre, creepy, or entertaining (especially with the horrible English dubs) or some combination of the three, and that's all I ask for lol.

Oh, and another honorable mention is the early 2000's Devilman OVA called Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman.
Amon: Apocalypse of Devilman is especially underrated; it is extremely gruesome and depressing but damn, I love it for giving a fascinating alternate ending to the Devilman story, and it gives some extra subtle characterization to some of the cast. Plus, I'm a sucker for atmosphere and Amon: Apocalypse oozes with dread. Another classic horror anime in my book.

Also, unpopular opinion, School Days is actually very enjoyable to watch :D
No seriously, I think the train-wreck of School Days is very fun to watch, and it's surprisingly realistic.
I think School Days is far better than mediocre romance like Plastic Memories (Probably the most boring romance series ever, almost put me to sleep)

I completely agree with you there. I used to join the circlejerk of hate that surrounds School Days and I blindly followed people like GRArkada and Gigguk's opinions on the series, but after I grew up and started to think for myself I realized that School Days is a damn good drama (for anime standards). There's really nothing else like it in anime (maybe the recent Scum's Wish? Although I don't think that has as good of themes as School Days does), and I like seeing the psychological and romantic regression that occurs throughout the show lol. It really shows the downsides of infidelity and casual sex; it's a lesson that the West can learn from with its hookup culture and sexual "liberation".

Animegataris and Wakaba Girl are two series under the 7 that I gave an 8/10 to.

There is also Pokemon Sun and Moon which is quite a lot of fun but for some reason the score keeps dropping and dropping, I hope it gets better after it finishes airing, but it really doesn't deserve to be that low.

By far Okusama ga Seitokaichou!. One of the best anime I ever watched in my life.

People have an irritating tendency of giving ecchi anime low ratings for reasons like no plot, no character development or some other bs. Like, if you want deep plot watch something else.

Each episode is only 8 minutes long, yet it manages to squeeze in so many great characters and good romance and ecchi scenes.

Exactly it's become a trend for new users to rate it 1 and call it wish fulfilment anime.

Katsugeki/Touken Ranbu(6.80) and the first season of Touken Ranbu: Hanamaru(6.88) i scored both a 9, and i really enjoyed the characters and their interactions.

I also liked Weiß Kreuz(6.81) and Tenshi ni Narumon!(6.85), both of which i rated a 8.

I liked Asobi ni Iku yo! even though it's harem/fanservice show. It's not terrible and has moments that are funny. I had a similar feeling with Hajimete No Gal I thought it was decent but still had a bunch of problems, the dub was funny. Noucome was also funny at times and enjoyable throughout. I could see myself rating 1 or 2 of those a 6 in the future I haven't rewatched them in years but I remember them being enjoyable.

The Ace Attorney anime is actually pretty neat, it really doesn't deserve all the bashing it got from the general audience. A mere 6.44/10 doesn't do its justice.

Like, it's not a masterpiece, but it's a solid 7/10. At least.
I started it like two days ago and I'm but 6 episodes in, and I'm really liking it, it's kinda hyping the upcoming second season for me.

Before someone asks yes, I've played the games.

What comes to mind is Dragonball Super. It's at a 7.77 right now but I remember it previously being a 6 possibly a low 6, this was when I checked while they were recapping the movies and animation quality was a lot lower then later on. It took them till episode 28 to begin the first actual new arc so they probably lost quite a few people who just dropped it and left a low rating after getting tired of the movie arcs(most fans will have already seen BoG & RoF).
Yeah I think when the last arc came it boosted the score and even that arc was boring at times..

Other than the new transformations I feel like it was a waste. No main villain. No deaths (Even though they come back) I mean their lives were on the line but eh. It didn't feel like the Zamasu arc.

Nothing for you to feel guilty about at all. Citrus is a genuinely good series of which people refuse to stop and observe the qualities it has, either because they expected a wholesome romance, or because they assume the show to be fanservice and therefore unworthy of any further examination of the characters or overall narrative.

OT: Akuma no Riddle. Other than the ending, I see no reason whatsoever for it to have gotten the ratings it has. The action is great, the characters are fun to watch, and the stakes are believable.

well, obviously tons of old ova and movies are decent enough even if they fall far below average MAL ratings

people who actually do watch less popular stuff mostly grow out of rating everything 7-10 and use the whole scale - ratings go down by a lot, and there are some nice ones with average score of 6~

from the top of my head, both crusher joe entries are in the 6-something range, Megazone 23, project A-ko, argento soma

for the more recent stuff - Gundam G no Reconguista is actually really decent and is hated by the worst of shit tastes out there, going below 6 despite being a new anime

also, how the fuck is school days realistic?
