| Upon approval by Master Harus, I have been granted permission to add a new feature to our club, which I shall call: Yggdrasil's Leaf of the Week The purpose of this thread is to collect a list of anime shorts, Movies, OVAs, and Manga to be featured in the club. The leaf of the week will be chosen randomly either by myself or an admin of the club if I am not available. This may sound biased at first, but since we will be featuring a new anime/manga every week, I can ensure that all viable suggestions will have a chance to be featured as a leaf of the week. In addition, the discussion thread for the Leaf of the Week will be open promptly after the anime/manga is chosen. Since the anime/movie/manga is short and can be watched/read in a single sitting, club members can quickly catch up and participate in the discussion immediately. The criteria for an anime/movie/manga to be featured as a leaf of the week are as follows:
I will take a look at all suggestions and see if they are viable for being featured as Yggdrasil's Leaf of the Week. If you have any questions, please PM me. I will edit this post periodically to add any new viable suggestions. After Tarotist-sama's absence, I, Conde_Mohr, have decided to change a bit how the original Leaf of the Week works, and now item submissions are restricted to a submission period that will start once we have 5 items left, and it will end once we reach 20. This is done to prevent too many items to be in queue at the same time (20 items take at least 5 months to be all featured). Therefore, if submission period is open, you can submit up to 3 anime or manga, until we reach 20 items. If more than 5 people submit 3 items I'll take 2 per user, and if there are more than 10, I'll only take one, so make sure to write them in order. This limit will refresh when the next period starts. SUBMISSION PERIOD: OPEN Submission period will close on Friday, 23th of March. Make sure to read the rules for submissions before making them. Thank you, and get listing them shorties! | This sounds good. I guess I'll suggest: Yama no Susume My personal favorite short anime. Cute girls doing cute things, like going on hikes or climbing up mountains. |

| Detroit Metal City Pure awesome. One of my fav animes. One of the most vulgar animes I've ever seen. It's about a dude who likes pop music but gets stuck in a Death/Black Metal band. Rec It's about a voice actress who starts living with a guy from a candy making/designing company. It's got some nice romance going. Danna ga Nani wo Itteiru ka Wakaranai Ken A regular girl gets married to an otaku. It's nice, heartwarming at times. |

I thought it was a full-length anime series though. But it's a short, so, added! I will add Senyuu, but I will not add Senyuu 2 to the list until we finish the first Senyuu for consistency reasons. Thanks for the suggestions! |

Harus said: Let me try to help with suggestions ^^ Never watched most of them.. so yea.. just suggestions. Eve no Jikan Wakaba*Girl Top wo Nerae! Gunbuster Nekojiru-sou Danchigai All added! However, since Gunbuster's total run time goes beyond the criteria, it will not be part of the random selection process unless there is no featured anime currently ongoing when the choice is made for Leaf of the Week. Also, just because you haven't seen it, it doesn't mean you can't add it. So if there's something you've never seen before, but want to watch, add it! In addition, the list has been shuffled again to reset the random selection process and to accommodate the new additions to the suggestions list. Thanks again for your contributions! |

| Lunn Flies Through the Wind - A tale of depression for one boy as he finds solace in a poster of a girl. One which talks to him and is essentially there to be his conscience in his time of need. Osamu Tezuka classic that still holds weight even if it was made in 1985. http://myanimelist.net/anime/14247/Lunn_wa_Kaze_no_Naka Tenchi Muyou! Ryououki - One of the original harems which is still continuing as an OVA to this day with its next installment announced. It tells the exploits of a boy trying to deal with the insane situation he was dealt with as aliens and his own family history being undiscovered. Fun and energetic without being too pandering. http://myanimelist.net/anime/539/Tenchi_Muyou_Ryououki Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou - One of the best calming anime I have witnessed, Yokohama takes the simplicity of its plot in order to tell very important themes about memories and the time we have to live. Not supposed to be the most complex, nor is it supposed to be the most emotional. It is a nice trip with Alpha as she experiences the world. http://myanimelist.net/anime/975/Yokohama_Kaidashi_Kikou |

| Might help out and recommend some more leafs! Hopefully these go over well. Aki no Kanade - https://myanimelist.net/anime/29513/Aki_no_Kanade A small short OVA done for the Winter Anime Mirai 2015. The best one of the young animators showcase, Aki no Kanade is a much more laid back watch about a girl revisiting her roots and coming to terms with what she is missing in life. Akuemon - https://myanimelist.net/anime/14231/Akuemon Another Tezuka Osamu classic, Akuemon talks about a famed hunter, disliked by all who is told by a fortune teller that if he kills 1000 foxes he will conquer everything. The interesting aspect is how the foxes send one of their own to be the wife of Akuemon, thus leading to a tumultuous and certainly classic tale of love born from hate. Anime de Wakaru Shinryounaika - https://myanimelist.net/anime/27911/Anime_de_Wakaru_Shinryounaika Let us discuss psychological disorders! What that doesn't sound exciting? Well how about a more comedic description of those disorders? Yes this may seem upbeat, but the subject it uses is obviously darker than how it portrays it. Yet it still manages to teach you things while at the same time being genuinely funny at moments despite the language barrier. Armitage III - https://myanimelist.net/anime/1079/Armitage_III Interesting and certainly overlooked sci-fi trip, Armitage III manages to find more life in the modern era for being one of the better tales on androids. A crime story involving the death of a country singer, who was found out to in fact be an android, sends detectives Ross Sylibus and Armitage on a conspiracy path to uncover secrets best forgotten. Action heavy and intriguing, this may not be Ghost in the Shell, Armitage III does manage to be far better than most modern contemporaries and the best thing we have until a Battle Angel Alita series comes out. Imawa no Kuni no Alice (OVA) - https://myanimelist.net/anime/24781/Imawa_no_Kuni_no_Alice_OVA A proof of concept OVA that does better than expected, it only shows how good the series could be with actual time put into it. Even though this is a weird puzzle death game, it manages to be effective due to its small central cast and the interesting games played. Muramasa - https://myanimelist.net/anime/3475/Muramasa Another classic Osamu Tezuka work, an early animated work altogether with minimalistic animation. Muramasa is a tale told with visuals not words and is certainly a more experimental work. Short, chilling and to the point in about 9 minutes. Planetarian: Chiisana Hoshi no Yume - https://myanimelist.net/anime/33091/Planetarian__Chiisana_Hoshi_no_Yume Just aired this season and is a surprisingly taut directed work. Planetarian focuses around an apocalyptic world where people and machines seem to be at odds. A lonely junker seems to come across a Planetarium on his travels that still has an android operational that comes to show him some beauty among the harsh future. Tsumiki no Ie - https://myanimelist.net/anime/5365/Tsumiki_no_Ie Sadness in a short OVA, this is also a tale told without words. It is about an old man living in a flooded world as he tries to survive while scavenging around the bottom for memories of a better life. Uchuu Patrol Luluco - https://myanimelist.net/anime/32681/Uchuu_Patrol_Luluco If you like Trigger, then perhaps this over the top ode to their work (done by them) may work out for you! Luluco is about a normal girl whose father is frozen and cut up into pieces, only to have her take up his job as a galatic police officer and transform into a gun to fight the evils of the galaxy. The insanity only ramps from there. |

| Short manga yuri as suggestions? I have a lot of those in my list. Blue Friend is quite decent, as well as The feelings we all must endure. If you want some anime here, Nasu: Andalusia no Nasu is based on the place in Spain where I live. Shirobako Specials is related to Shirobako, but if you know Shirobako, it's an anime about making anime. Specials are the first episode of the two anime that are made in Shirobako, so you can actually enjoy them if you know what they are, even when you've not watched the original anime. @Tarotist Now, let's talk as an admin here. I don't like the fact that, after the changes, I do no longer know the Leaf of the Week just by glancing at the club description. I do believe that we should write that kind of information below the main pic, so feel free to do that. I have the old description stored, you can tell me if you need it for something. |

As for your inquiry of suggesting a manga with 19 chapters for a leaf...I will allow it, however it will not be part of the selection process when choosing a leaf. Instead, I'm going to feature it for certain instances like when I am unavailable for a certain period of time, or when there are no more leaves left, where I can then use it to buy some time while we get suggestions up. So yes, I will allow 19 chapters...but not 20...that's for the Manga roulette. |

Instead, I'm going to feature it for certain instances like when I am unavailable for a certain period of time, or when there are no more leaves left, where I can then use it to buy some time while we get suggestions up. So yes, I will allow 19 chapters...but not 20...that's for the Manga roulette. You can add Himitsu no Recipe, Kanojo Iro no Kanojo and Subarashii Sekai to that "reserve list" then |
