I can see how people can compare this to Revolutionary Girl Utena (the BEST anime ever made imo) in the sense that we have flashy characters, a corrupt student council, a mysterious and secluded academy, and "duels." SO glad I finally decided to watch this. |

| I was not prepared for the FABULOUS that was the main character's transformation. I already love him. I found this episode a bit too all over the place for me though. It was all somewhat hard to digest. I guess my expectations were a bit too high. Still really hopeful about this show though. Looking forward to more of Galactic Pretty Boy. |

| I've never seen Revolutionary Girl Utena so I don't know if it's more similar to that or to Gurren Lagann but I see a bit of Gurren Lagann, Code Geass, & Noein in this. Just bits a pieces though. So far, this anime looking pretty awesome. I really like the singing of the fish girl. |

| One thing I'm wondering: Galactic Pretty Boy? I understand the 'Galactic' and the 'Boy', but PRETTY Boy? Made me laugh. That insert song. I love it. I want it. I watched the scene three times. And it fit very well with the animation sequence, I thought. Very pleasant to watch. At first, I thought they were gonna go full on CGI with the animation for that part. I'm actually very happy they didn't. So far, I'm really enjoying this. Pretty boys, girls in skimpy clothing, good animation, good music. Everything I like in an anime. ;D |

| That was a pretty wicked first episode. In the beginning I was really getting into it...characters & lead were pretty good in general. Building up on his past and showing his optimistic confidence. Liking it. Fantastic animation and backgrounds. Loving it! ..then we get to the middle. o.O uhmm...WHAT?! All over the place and oh god... GALACTIC PRETTY BOY?! Christ's sake we don't need to emhasize on it. I suppose a pretty boy is actually needed to take up the role and I have never before seen such a manly transformation. Hmph. *o* -LOL'ing when they were like..hold the phone, it's THE PRETTY BOY?!?! F*cks sake drop the tools and STARE. Cool ending, sitting on the hand...awks<3 -I REALLY LIKE THE CLOSING SONG/CLIP watcha-mi-call-em. Smooth sailing for the trio. |

| This is another one of those anime that I would put into the "should have watched sooner" category. That's my impression of the first episode at least. I really should try not to judge an anime by it's cover, or genres. |

Please learn about cel animation and its technical process. Learn how special effects and backlighting were done without computers. |
| 5/5 It may also be a childish excuse, but in order to prepare me well for the new series of mecha Bones this spring, 2014, I needed to look at a previous year, what better time than this to start Star Driver? So, looking at this first episode immediately jumps to the eyes the huge potential, both in terms of graphics and technical, wineskin to those inherent in the plot. I hope I do not disappoint in the end, as many have criticized. Initial rating of 7/10! |

| Fabulous is indeed the word to describe this anime. Edit: Been years since I've touched this, I watched up to episode 11 on Viewster but the site went defunct. I've forgotten some of it so I'm restarting, now that Funimation has it in the UK. So Takuto entered in what year of highschool exactly? All the other students already know each other. Only the Kiraboshi members, the shrine maidens (including Wako) and Takuto can experience the frozen time. I can see the resemblance to final fights within TTGL.. Takuto: Setsuna F. Seiei Sugata: Lelouch vi Britannia Wako: Saki Morimi I found it really funny how Takuto was building up to a badass variation of his "it's a pinch" catchphrase "it's a punch" but ended up getting knocked out himself. |
