| The episode sees four of the members of the team stressing over how they'll do on the exams, since they're not doing well in their classes. We're also introduced to Yachi, who could potentially become a new manager for the team when the third-years move on. I thought she was rather amusing, but I hope there will be more to her than her overreacting and apologizing for judging people by appearances. It's nice for the short term, but hopefully once she gets to know the players that this won't happen so much. But it was an enjoyable episode overall, and I can't wait to see what will happen next. |
| Yachi has always been one of my favorite characters in the manga <3 She is even cuter in the anime and her voice actress is perfect for her. I love how quickly she became friends with Hinata. Those two interacting is always adorable! My favorite scene this episode is when she is tutoring them and Hinata keeps talking and Yachi is just overwhelmed by his passion. Also I loved the small beginnings of YamaYachi. Yamaguchi's crush on her is so cute! They made him thinking she was cute even more obvious in the anime. I've always lowkey shipped them because of all the little hints in the manga. Seriously, this was Yachi's episode and probably one of my favorites in all of Haikyuu!! She is an amazing female character who will also bring out a more expressive and talkative side of Kiyoko. |

| Episode transition, but still useful and interesting, even fun in the narrative. The new characters are not bad, already stand out on their own. Drawings and animations really good as quality, opening and ending catchy enough right now. |

| New manager-chan is really likeable and her awkwardness doesn't feel forced at all. She reminds me a bit of Hinata in the way they both get intimidated so easily (though she's admittedly much more shy and introverted than him): no wonder why they became buddies so quickly. |

| Please don't hate me for this, I thought Kiyoko was one dimensional character that I'm get annoy that she doesn't talk much until Yachi came I starting liking her 'cause she's now much friendlier if she surround with girls. I guess when she surround by boys she's cold and distant but she's still very interesting. |

| At first I was kinda iffy about the addition of a new manager, but Yachi is actually handled quite well. Her VA is excellently picked, and although she acts the part of the timid newcomer, the timidity doesn't overstay its welcome and get in the way of of the pacing. The contrast in height and colour in comparison to i-forgot-glasses'-name certainly does its job. Personally though I think they should have gone with a brunette colour because blonde screams odd to me (she even says so when talking about the coach's blonde hair), whereas brunette (with I guess a ponytail) would have hammered in the "normal" characteristic. Maybe even a cute hair accessory to further contrast her (she actually has two star ties on her side tail but they aren't very noticeable). edit: I take that last parentheses back, it actually changes colour lol. |
