Long time ago, I gave it a try and read it up to chapter 40 and I really enjoyed and then I watched the Trilogy... it wasn't that bad. Then again, this adaptation got confirmed, and I thought this would be a good chance for Berserk to receive something appropriate... then, this happened. I think Berserk is doomed to fail as an anime if not a big studio adapts it. (Is it even adaptable?) |

| hopefully they improve it over time. cgi seems to lack frames since the motions weren't fluent at all. furthermore some scenes were better done than others. the last one with farnese for example was ok, the fight not so much - those skeletons... ..or after some episodes you can ignore the cgi and concentrate on the story. hell i'd love to see some good berserk fights, especially once he gets his armor |

| Well Sh*t.... as a fan of the original anime i was genuinely let down by this as i expected them to use modern animation instead of that emotionless and clunky 3d animation that was used in anime's like Knights of Sidonia that makes the animation look like a PS Vita game... At least Season 2 of Shokugeki no Soma will air on July 2... so hopefully that will heal my broken carcass after watching this garbage...  |

| puck was in the episode. the cgi was terrible. characters felt wooden. the colour palette seemed off. now with the bad out of the way, i'd say it's okay. at least they're doing something that hasn't been animated yet. |

| Dayum..you guys need to chill you're reacting as if you watched boku no pico in HD Anyway, would've preferred traditional art but the CGI wasn't so bad compared to others, Guts fighting cgi was the only thing that was in your face distracting because it was really slow..the rest was fine. Voice acting was good (the lady voice in Guts head at the end of the episode really stood out too) Still going to continue watching |

| Well that was much more inconsistent looking than I thought it would be. Using CGI (2 versions, 1 with and 1 without the sketchy lines), using 2D and some kind of combination of the two makes it rather awkward looking overall Not to mention Guts in the OP looking like Naruto when fighting those demons.... Not a fan of the CGI in the Berserk movies but at least the characters looked great in 2D |
| I play a lot of video games so I guess I'm use to the CGI. It's like watching a cutscene. It honestly wasn't that bad...:/. People overreacting just because they're not use to it. Music was the best part though. |

And visuals don't look as bad as as people make it Also, how can people judge anime based on visuals/graphics only ?! What about story, characters, enjoyment ?! Just because it is has bad visuals does not mean that it deserve 1/10. Anime is more that just visuals. Reviewers who are giving it 1/10 are dishonest and misleading others Even the visuals alone don't deserve 1/10. Not even close. People should watch Aku no Hana, that has far worse visuals. The visuals of berserk deserve 6/10 or at least 5/10, but I give it at least 9/10 or 10/10 for the story and characters I will stick with anime You hate the anime because of animation, and yet you guys prefer to read manga that has no animation, no voice, no ost and no colors. | Alright... Okay... I don't think it's that bad, honestly. It has better animation than RWBY, that's all I asked for. >_> Despite the animation, Berserk's story still shines through. Along with excellent camera work, voice acting, and characters. I like it. Looks pretty okay to me. Also, that soundtrack is divine. I can already picture myself listening to it a lot more. I think this is gonna be pretty fine. Not the best, but hey, we're finally getting something after the Golden Age arc. Let's just hope that not a good deal of stuff is cut out, or censored. >_> |

| I am not too appalled by the computer generated imagery much to my own surprise, it is very bearable, whereas in the trailer, Guts looked like a stop-motion clay figure. The opening music is horrendous — it does not fit at all, and I had rather heard an epic instrumental piece instead. |

Even if the visuals is 1 or 2/10. There is more to an anime than visuals. There is also writing. There is an issue with the fact that they merged chaptesr quickly but there's not enough to judge the whole pacing of the show. The pacing fo the episode wasn't bad, the OST was alright and the diaologue seems good, witth little exposition and good cinematography. This episode is certainly above average compared to other anime, even if the visuals are bad. |

| And as I was accepting the CGI I was hit by a massive memory mess, I know those events but I don't remember them happening this way, no complaints though I didn't expect a better animation from the start but also didn't expect this kind of adaptation, for the nostalgia I am thankful, and for Puck too, that brought up a lot of FEELS tbh, I accepted the fact that Berserk will never get the ultimate adaptation it deserves long ago this isn't gonna ruin me, Imma just try to have a positive attitude about this, like it's better than having nothing especially when Miura is on a break leaving us in a huge cliffhanger, oh and the reviews are already starting.. with the first episode O.o not to mention that just minutes before the first ep aired the score was 8.87 and now it's 7.smth wow I'm not trying to offend just wondering how can s.o give smth he didn't see or saw only the first ep a score! |

| I'm just gonna read the manga. This was not good Edit: Watching it a second time, I don't hate it but the animation is definitely not good. I'll give it a couple more episodes before I totally start ranting |

| Not a bad first episode. People should not judge a show by it's first episode. If the show does suck, at least I have the Sega Dreamcast game and the manga as far as story goes. |
