| Nothing truly happens this episode in terms of plot but it was still good. Arslan deciding on being king instead of Hermes was guaranteed but how it happened was interesting. The scene with Hermes in the citadel and the blood on his mask was interesting as well. ValhasDrew said: Also she resembles Riza Hawkeye a lot, should have noticed that Etoile was a girl ;-;  FMA and Arslan share the same mangaka so the similarities are due to the same style. Much like how Daryun looks like Kimblee and so on. |

I really, really want to ship them so hard but my head's telling me that their story will end up tragic no matter which way it goes. |

| Well, and that's it for Pars' future queen (or king? lol) If they met a problem with a Pars' king to marry a Lusitanian, I think it'd nice if they make a new country instead. That way everything will be solved. And by everything I really mean EVERYTHING. |

The original novel series are 14 volumes long and still on going, but from what I read this is being based on a manga adaptation(2nd one) so no idea if they are being loyal to the novels or making an original ending like the first manga adaptation it had. Lucian seems like a cool guy. I was afraid he might cause some problems if he replaces Narsus but he seems nice enough. Bodin just keep making me facepalm so hard. How can one person be such an asshole OTL Will these last 5 eps really conclude the series? I know about how far it is from the novels. It's just that I can actually see a conclusion to an anime original Hermes vs Arslan. And it wouldn't be that rushed tbh if it took 5 whole eps. Ofc I'd love if they take the 2nd season route instead but we'll see. Surprised by how many didn't expect Etoile to be a chick XD I thought it was kinda obvious for some reason ^^; I do agree about the resemblance to Riza |

| Okay okay so I am/was tired moment I watched this, I just really thought the ''boy'' only dressed up as a girl to infiltrate the camp for information, but she was actually a girl all along in the first place. Guess she got too used to her ''boy voice'' that she had to keep correcting herself from falling back into it during the ep |

| I am surprised that people are surprised of Etoile being a girl. I thought that was hinted very clearly and everyone in one of the episode's discussion were talking about it. Anyways, this episode looks like an "introduction" to beginning of great events. Arslan now has clear determination thanks to Etoile who didn't know he is a prince. I'd kill to see her expression when she finds out. |

| I wish it was revealed that Elam was actually a girl all along and not Etoile. ;'( I like the Narsus+Elam pairing. I don't care for the Etoile's personality at all and was hoping that Arslan would've been paired with Falangies... but meh. Sadly, I already saw the signs of obvious anime tropes earlier in the series. |

| Etoile's gender was quite obvious from the start and I would be really surprised if she didn't become Arslan's queen - although I really dislike that idea. I don't like that girl, really. Why everyone ship them? Why do you think she's good for Arslan? OK, she helped him finding his resolve, but that's the end of her good deeds. And she's arrogant fanatic, Arslan deserves someone better. Wiser. |
| Fuck this episode was good. That Etoille plot twist though. I wonder if that guy who got Etoille entrusted to him even knew she was a girl. This surely makes for a good shipment, as Arslan didn't have anyone his age yet. I'm pretty confident this anime will have a good ending, but really though, only 5 episodes remaining, I want a second season! Huh the next episode is about Gieve? Hmm. Not really interested but he is a cool character. |

| I seriously did not expect for 'him' to turn out to be a girl. It was a nice reveal to pop in though. Since Arslan did not recognize her, their conversation was able to work out and he has found his new resolve *^* I really am liking this second half of this series! |

| ....Am I seeing a love line between Arslan and this boy lol OTL Hmm i dont know, I kinda wished we saw more of Arslan thinking about this question..it all seem a bit too 'easy'.. And I hope Arslan would do something to ease the dissension within the citadel.. I'd hate to see any of his close allies 'leaving' him just to make others' happy or stop their criticisms Edit: OMG just watched episode 23 and thanks to thread there when people mentioned Etoile as a "she" (rather than a "he"), I just found out this Etoile is supposed to be a girl?!?!?!! | I kinda figured that Etoile might have been a girl after she was reintroduced after the time skip earlier in the series. Her eyes and the incredibly feminine voice should have told me something. Assuming we ever make it this far, I can't wait to see her reaction once she finds out that he's the prince. My opinion of this show has improved tremendously from what it was in the first 1-3 episodes. At first I thought Arslan was a pansy and I was sure I wouldn't like him, but he has certainly come a long way. |

| so... is Etoile a guy or a girl? cuz I can't tell o__O she does look a hell of a lot like Riza Hawkeye though. Great episode, Arslan's new-found resolve was wonderful. was kind of hoping Etoile would finally find out Arslan is the crown prince, but oh well. |
