http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/02/18/rutgers-students-hold-group-therapy-session-after-milo-yiannopoulos-visit/

"According to the paper, students and faculty members held a wound-licking gathering at a cultural center on campus, where students described “feeling scared, hurt, and discriminated against.”

“A variety of different organizations and departments were present to listen, answer questions and show support” to the apparently weak and vulnerable students, who just a few days prior had disrupted Yiannopoulos’ event by smearing fake blood on their faces and chanting protest slogans.

One student at the event told the Targum that they “broke down crying” after the event, while another reported that he felt “scared to walk around campus the next day.” According to the report, “many others” said they felt “unsafe” at the event and on campus afterwards.

“It is upsetting that my mental health is not cared about by the University,” said one student at the event. “I do not know what else to do for us to be heard for us to be cared about. I deserve an apology, everyone in this room deserves an apology.”

A number of organizations were at the event to offer support to the poor, traumatised students. These included Psychiatric Services, the Office for Violence Prevention and Victim Assistance, and the Rutgers University Police. However, as far as we know, none of the protesting students were institutionalized, arrested for vandalism, or for assaulting the peaceful attendees of Milo’s talk with red paint.

Rutgers students are displaying clear-cut signs of the crybully phenomenon, whereby the regressive left feels victimized, traumatized and attacked even while they are viciously attacking others. In the case of Milo’s talk at Rutgers, there is no question that their behaviour encompassed vandalism at the very least. Yet the students still believe themselves to be victims — so much so that they set up therapy sessions and complain about their mental health."

tl;dr
liberal students broke down and held group therapy session after a conservative spoke at an event in their school

"crybully"? Wow! That's a great word! I have been looking for a word to use other than "self-victimising individual" because it's too long. Now I have found it, thank you very much!

Force them to become referees for different kinds of sports. They'll either break down completely and can go to the army while skipping the first "part", or they'll manage to build up self-esteem and can become functioning members of society!

I'm a minority myself, and I pity for these kids when they leave college. All I know is my program prepared me for the real world, their programs in Gender Studies or whatever is going to eat them alive, and they'll soon realize that crying for this oppression cost the money that they get from their parents rather than stuff they can make a living on, all the while complaining about the mythical wage gaps and X shaming.

lol SO in the video(his talk) Milo asks:

" Is there anyone in here who hates me, raise your hand?"

"okay This is an event for 7 and above so anyone who put there hands up please leave,
If your from one of the feminist movements on campus I've put an ice cream truck outside"

That was just a minute into his talk. Top KeK.

Lol he's the editor of Breitbart? I'm surprised because I genuinely think Breitbart is absolute garbage while at the same time I don't mind Milo's views at all. Though I do get irritated when he sometimes draws the "men are the true victims" narrative because of how similar it is to radical feminist ideology. However being quite familiar with his "debates" I'm not surprised at the kind of reactions he induces in college campuses. Gonna watch the video Rasco posted, guaranteed to make my night.

Was it a forum or was it a group therapy session?
The anecdotal evidence cited does portray the students as sensitive towards the issue, but is the speaker's exhibition really something to stand up for?

"Yiannopoulos asked the crowd if they thought black lives mattered. When people raised their hands, James said Yiannopoulos told them get out and that rape culture did not exist."
“He said it is in black people's nature to be angry. I am not an angry person,” she said. “It was revealing to see people who already had these thoughts. He was just there to confirm it.”

It would be interesting to see footage of the event itself, to, at the very least, get to the bottom of the matter. Why Rutgers is looking to have people with lack for propriety and etiquette take their stage is beyond me, letting someone know they're being discriminated against is not an end in discrimination.

The students strongly disagree with views introduced by their school's faculty through a speaker, what about that is inherently juvenile? Now if there was a debate on the issue and the students failed to rebut any of Yiannopoulos' points that certainly might be a case.

Watch the video. I'm about 13mins in and some of the audience members become increasingly aggressive.

Yiannopoulos asked the crowd if they thought black lives mattered. When people raised their hands, James said Yiannopoulos told them get out and that rape culture did not exist."
“He said it is in black people's nature to be angry. I am not an angry person,” she said. “It was revealing to see people who already had these thoughts. He was just there to confirm it.”

These are misleading quotes; none of it is true. Again try and watch the video. You may not agree with him, but it isn't Milo who's being divisive.

I watched a significant portion of the video, and I do find those quotes to be misleading in retrospect.
The heckling is an issue, he said something to the effect of being disappointed in the initial protest, but it really doesn't seem to have ended at all.

Of course I can't see how one wouldn't find his continued slighting of feminists and the "regressive left" to be, at it's core, divisive. He himself states the folly in attacking a person in stead of their ideas, but he persists with hammering labels into a collective peoples, he certainly understands that his insistence on portraying groups of people in a certain light only serves to divide.

Particularly the reason why I can't like or hate the guy. A large part of his social criticisms are on point however the way he addresses them is quite simply very similar to how the radicals he ridicules act like. He is also a victim of letting political dogma dominate his world views. It's quite a shame that he doesn't treat the right with the same level of scrutiny he does to the left, in fact he in some cases (which he demonstrates in this video) he actually endorses them.

You obviously do not know how US universities work. The "faculty" has very little input on who can speak on campus, that is almost entirely controlled by the students. The sad thing is that IF the faculty were involved, there was no way this person would have been invited to speak at Rutgers.

This is made clear by the wide array of University facilities that were ready to comfort these dandelions. This even included the Rutgers police department. Think about that for a second. Where in the world would the police offer "support" to people distressed about a speech? This shows how deep the rot (and the childish mentality) goes with such people.

Oh no! How dare they listen to other people's different opinions! Oh the horror!

Seriously? I really hope this isn't for real, because if it is, that would be the dumbest thing imaginable. I'm not right-wing, but I'm perfectly willing to hear what they have to say and discuss ideas in a coherent sense. That's a skill that's needed in reality. These kids don't seem to get that, which is quite disheartening.

People hate that Milo is direct, pulls no punches, and loves offending those who are sensitive to it. He tells them how the world truly is, and some people, mostly privileged kids from rich families, apparently can't handle that. And given the way he talks, it appears to me like he's faced a lot of these bigoted idiots before, and he clearly seems to know how to handle them. However, he clearly knows what he's talking about, and I don't really see how anything he says regarding feminism, and SJWs in general, is wrong.

And seriously, some of those students are indeed like preschoolers, who haven't learned how to properly hold a decent conversation. They're obnoxious, way too loud (you could clearly see him cringe when they exceeded the maximum allowable noise levels), but I also like how the other students blatantly told them to STFU, prompting the others to leave the room (as they should have done before).

And I wouldn't be surprised of this article is true to a certain extent, and that some of these incredibly privileged students inde3e were so offended, that they had to hold some sort of group session to clam their nerves.

When did people become such, for lack of a better word, pussies. I dislike Milo Yiannopoulos, always have, and likely always will, but if people can not even 'deal' with words without breaking down emotionally, how do they plan to cope in life?

I just don't get it. I fully agree with him on trigger warnings and safe spaces. People are insulating themselves under the guise of being traumatized, which personally, I think is insulting to people who have been through actual trauma. Being a 'victim' or insulted is just the latest fad, but heaven help these people if they ever face real crisis.

He is right about a lot of things too, whether I want to accept them as fact or not.

He's gay too, which just makes it more awesome.

I actually disagree. There are plenty of news sources similar to Breitbart on the left. Look at Jezebel. The reason they do not fair as well however is typically because the left is currently what is "in" right now. This does more to polarize the right, than the left, and reflects in the media. If the "right" was what was currently "in", you would notice extreme left news sources becoming more popular.

Having said that, while I disagree with Milo on numerous things (including things like economy and yes, the existence of lesbians, which I am unsure if he believes in since he has lesbian friends), he is not wrong to believe that he has the right to say what he says. If there was anything that was "bad" with the speech he gave, it was the reaction of members in the audience. He was very tolerant (perhaps too tolerant) to the constant interruptions and shrieking coming from people who quite literally just wanted to censor him.

I believe in Free Speech. Hate Milo if you will, however the most disgusting result of this incident, by far, was the authoritarian "demands" of the protesters that then turned to victimhood when their shrieking was not listened to. I think that before you can address Milo, it is necessary to remove this disgusting group of people from the left because they are NOT liberal. As in the video, the group that took offense took offense because Milo said that "Segregating dorms based on race is racist". -_- . . . Let that sink in. The "liberals" were the ones saying he was a bigot for thinking that segregation was a bad thing.
