| Still laughing at how they're using battle axes despite all of the futuristic armor and guns. Oberstein is a sly devil, it's actually amusing to watch the nobles dance in the palm of Reinhard's hand. |

| I need to get used to things like this in this show, but the space battle in this episode really didn't make sense. It seems Mittermyer fooled Staaden with regards to the position of his fleet, but how did he do that? How did Staaden "succumb to theory" here? Part of it seems to be that the mines had engines and could launch themselves at ships but we're not told that's an innovation so if anything Staaden's grasp of theory should have led him to be wary of exactly that sort of attack. That's why we have 18th-century Prussia in space after all. Even considering that, the simple axes are going a bit far or rather not far enough. In contrast Star Wars has swords made of light, not steel. As it is I can't fathom why that armor is so completely useless. Another reminder this is an OVA from the '80s with the ridiculous gore. |

| I'm with everyone else that the first half was too rushed; I didn't really follow what happened in that battle at all. Episode redeemed itself with the use of Ovlesser though. |
| Even considering zephyr particles, I remember reading that only laser weapons trigger a reaction and nobody seems to remember what kinetic weapons are sans medieval era crossbows. I also think it's pretty ironic how the space battles so far are the least interesting parts of the show |

| The bloody melee battles were a nice change of pace. Haven't really gotten that since the capture of Iserlohn. Ovlesser's death had some gore too, which slightly reminded me of the numerous head-exploding scenes in Fist of the North Star, though far from being as gory. |

| 2021 Rewatch Slave-to-theory Staden really sucks as a commander... taken out by his own student Mittermeyer... Ovlesser scared the hell out of Luneberg's wife in the Gaiden series. As expected he joins the rebels against Reinhard. For those wondering why they use axes; it's because there are particles that render firearms dangerous. Ah yes, the discriminatory insult to Reuenthal who has Heterochromia. Indeed, Ovlesser would've been a martyr if they had killed him there. Too bad for Ovlesser trusting that he wouldn't be executed for cowardice/treason. |

| oberstain plan was good, but i fear there's something behind that plan, something dark. hope reinhard will notice that before it's too late. i love that myrtmier and hildelstien got more screen time. |
| At first I prefer Reinhard but as the show goes on, I'm losing a lot of respect for him, meanwhile Yang is becoming my favourite character. |

| This episode was probably the most brutal one so far, Ovlesser was pretty much shown being a great and brutal fighter but yet a not so good strategist, thats why he lost. Of course Reinhard's whole plan of executing all his subordiates expect for him as genius and gave a really nice scene at the nobles hideout. At least he died a pretty noble and honorable death. |
| The armors, the axes, the way he slaughtered all those soldiers yet got stopped by that hole, this was actually a new level of silliness that was fun for once and next chapter all-mighty Jessica is back, so that's nice. |
