Any more that is a candidate for worst treatment of a fanbase by an anime studio? |

| UBW (TV) isn't even really mediocre, the first half is better than that portion of the VN in several ways. Out of things I'm a fan of, maybe Negima, the Xebec anime is complete trash and the SHAFT reboot is a completely different story, all we have are some OVAs and it seems incredibly unlikely that we'll ever actually get a proper adaptation. |

| I heard many fans of the manga were salty with Akame ga Kill's anime original set of last few episodes (I think it started with episode 19). Ironically I don't hear this nowadays quite as much as I hear bashing on Tokyo Ghoul's anime original material. I wonder why? |

| Grisaia's source material wasn't that great in the first place, but it's still a strong contender. I'd say Elfen Lied. The manga's final ~30 chapters were the best part and the anime cut short well before that. Again, it's not that great, but if the full manga was adapted into a ~2cour series by a competent team of artists, the difference between that and what we got would have been night and day. |
