Which fanbase of any franchise got fucked over by an anime studio the hardest?

Dragon Ball fans due to how Toei ruined Goku vs Beerus in DBS with crappy animation?

Naruto Shippuden still having a ton of filler episodes even after the manga ended?

Tokyo Ghoul manga fans due to how Pierrot rushed the anime+the much maligned second season?

Grisaia fans due how SUPER rushed the 8-bit anime turned out to be and also adding pointless fanservice scenes?

Type-Moon fans getting 3 mediocre adaptations in a row of FSN+"that VN that doesn't have an anime"?

Almost every video game/western comic book franchise that got an anime adaptation?

Any more that is a candidate for worst treatment of a fanbase by an anime studio?

It definitely isn't Type Moon fans.

They're just nit picky as hell so I'd say Naruto or Dragonball.

Far too many. Grisaia though is a good contender. The anime was total garbage.

The Super fight doesn't matter because of the fight in BOG. OT. Rurouni Kenshin fans by Deen. They rather make shitty recap movies instead of animating the Jinchuu arc.

UBW (TV) isn't even really mediocre, the first half is better than that portion of the VN in several ways.

Out of things I'm a fan of, maybe Negima, the Xebec anime is complete trash and the SHAFT reboot is a completely different story, all we have are some OVAs and it seems incredibly unlikely that we'll ever actually get a proper adaptation.

Not as bad as some which are already mentioned

But Kingdom maybe would have been a lot more popular if it wasn't for that ugly CGI

and it's already kind of rated high, so with better art and more people into it, it could have been really high rated

Tis' why I sometimes pray that some of my fav manga never gets anime lol.

I'd say anything by Toei, especially One Piece, considering how big the manga is, every episode should be movie level, but instead we get fukin Stickman action.

I didn't watch DEEN's version, but I personally found Season 2 of UBW to be a disappointment compared to the first half, and I'm asuming the prior adaptations of the VN aren't any better so...

There's that but I don't think many fanbases can be considered lucky enough to be guaranteed adaptation for every single novel.

OT: Every fanbase whose anime will never get a sequel.

I'm sorry, but I think you'll find that the DEEN adaptation's problems were a little bit bigger than cutting out a few scenes.

And changing a few key scenes.

But, yeah, no way I'd put UFO UBW in the same category as DEEN's.

I heard many fans of the manga were salty with Akame ga Kill's anime original set of last few episodes (I think it started with episode 19). Ironically I don't hear this nowadays quite as much as I hear bashing on Tokyo Ghoul's anime original material. I wonder why?

Tokyo Ghoul is newer by a season, so they focus on what's newer.

Oh and DxD fans didn't get a great 3rd season. That anime original arc is fucking shit.

Grisaia's source material wasn't that great in the first place, but it's still a strong contender.

I'd say Elfen Lied. The manga's final ~30 chapters were the best part and the anime cut short well before that.

Again, it's not that great, but if the full manga was adapted into a ~2cour series by a competent team of artists, the difference between that and what we got would have been night and day.
Now you're wondering if there's white text in any of my other posts.

Over there, I'm everywhere. I know that.
