Also, Otorimonogatari when... Nadeko tries to kill Koyomi and in the end he cant see her anymore. Also in Denpa teki no Kanojo when... In OVA 1 the girl goes yandere and tries to kill him. And finally, an honourable mention for... Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom in the end when they both get killed. Fuck the what |

Well I don't know about you but I had COMPLETELY forgotten about it by the time i watched episode 20. Therefore it came as quite a shock and was a literally jaw dropping "reveal", something I can't say about all that many shows. |

| I watched it as a batch after it was completed so it only took me like 2-3 days to finish the series. So yeah. One of the reasons why I always prefer to watch shows after it was completed, watching something weekly makes me forget quite easily what happened. |

-Shuda- said: Bleach Aizen's betrayal Bleach was actually fantastic the first arc, and yeah I agree this was one of the biggest plot twists I've ever come across in an anime. What about Angel Beats! When Kanade reveals that she has Otonashi's heart? I wouldn't say it was that unexpected but I think it's still a big deal. |

| In Nisemonogatari... Kaiki, Yozuru and Meme are old friends; I didn't expect that - all are polar opposites and look to be three different age groups. I would definetely watch a prequel spin-off about these three. dokuRiruka said: Naruto At the very beginning, who would've thought that Sasuke would betray his friends ;/ I saw that coming at the very start. |

| Oh yeah, after watching some School Rumble youtube videos, School Rumble definitely pulled the best unexpected ending (and no, best here is not a good thing). It was just a BLOW to the face. I raged for like 5 minutes, then feel sad for like the entire day before doing something else. For the manga, it was unexpected because it had NO preamble. Everything was going fine and then... BAM, the first chapter comes and I wonder what the eff is going on, then it ends like 3 chapter later. WHAT THE EFFFFFFFF MAN. For the anime they did virtually the same crap with 2 OVAs. Holycrap, as if trolling once isn't enough, they have to do it on the anime as well. Damn it all. Damn I'm raging again. Maybe I'll rewatch School Rumble again... just cuz I'm a lowly human prone to masochism. |

| Yeah that one from bleach when Aizen betrayed everyone. I never saw that coming. lol, funny that I liked him until he did that and also from Blood-C never saw that one coming in episode 11 i think it was everything was a Setup and the coffee shop guy was behind it all I can figure out things before they happen most of the time, but those two actually shocked me. |

| I'd say School Days, I don't come across many twists but with School Days it was different because I went into the show thinking it was going to be another one of those average high school love harem animes based on some PC game like Shuffle or something. And as it went on I thought something was up, it was somewhat creepy but it wasnt pushed and obvious, but I didn't expect that ending. |

Tiago97 said: grandy_UiD said: Tiago97 said: Grave of the Fireflies Setsuko's death, even though it was expected Not only was it expected, the movie flat out told the viewer in it's opening scene that this would happen O_o (and that didn't make it the tiniest bit less tragic and hard to swallow) And that's exactly what makes it so good. Grave of the Fireflies didn't need plot twists to make me cry. Totally agree Madoka Magica: all of the twists, I went in unspoiled. So glad I managed to see that show pretty much blind beyond "it's more serious and darker than it first appears". Psycho Pass: That Yuki was executed. Normally she would have been OK, it took me completely off guard. The true nature of Sybil being a collection of psychopaths. The ending, I wasn't quite expecting it to go like it did. I thought and kind of hoped that Akane would take him out. I kind of wanted her too, like making good on what happened with Yuki. Finally, the girl from the school with the serial killer who's friends were murdered joining the police, in Akane's department. Wasn't expecting that, shame that season 2 screwed up what could have been an interesting character to explore. Poppy Hill: Potential incestual relationship in a Ghibli romance? I get why it was there, but never expected Ghibli to deal with something like that. |
