Wow, now I'm feeling kind of lucky since I began watching Naruto and One Piece at the TV while I was a kid. So now, I don't need to catch up everything. I only need to watch them weekly.

I find it easier to catch up on longer series. I've watched 100 episodes of Naruto in like 10 days but it takes me around 2 weeks to finish a show that has 24 eps (unless it's very good & addicting). Try watching them during holidays when you can do around 8 episodes a day.

I need to know how and if its even possible to watch all this anime in some fwell swoops DBZ is off the question (thank you team four star). So do you have suggestions

I grew up watching most of the longest series. So can't help you there.

However 300 episodes of Naruto can be watched in 3 weeks.

You start at episode 1 and then watch episode 2 and so forth in numerical order until you've completed it.

Although, I generally avoid longer series with hundreds of episodes. The ones I have seen I watched either as it aired and never had to catch up or I marathoned the show in large 12-26 episode chunks.

If your first impression was not enjoying it or lacking interest, then you shouldn't be watching it because it doesn't change much in the medium-term. These types of anime take ages to progress, especially one piece. The top shounens are all about milking. The only time it's worth it is when you really enjoy it and want to marathon.

A lot of people did, they just kinda stopped when it stopped airing on TV or something else came up (On Hold). Now after so many years and so many episodes gone unwatched; it's kinda hard to remember where you left off or what even happened in the episodes you DID watch. At that point, it might be good to just start over.;;

You don't watch them within weeks or months. It take years for you to catch up at least that the case with me. I started watching OP and Naruto like 8-10 years ago. There's also the option to read manga and once you reach the chapter where the anime is at, you stop reading the manga and go watch anime. Also, skip fillers.

FMA Brotherhood is just 64 episodes so it shouldn't be a problem for you to catch up.Anime is just entertainment. Watching too many anime doesn't make you special or superior so don't pressure yourself into watching it if you don't feel like it though I still highly recommend show like OP to anime fan.

But it's important to remember that a movie review is subjective;it only gives you one person's opinion.

http://www.classzone.com/books/lnetwork_gr08/page_build.cfm?content=analyz_media&ch=30

It doesn't matter if you like LoGH,Monster etc.If you are a jobless or college/school dropout living in your mom basement, you are still an unintelligent loser. Taste in anime does not make you a better person. If elitist don't exist, casual pleb and shit taste also don't exist.

I watched most of those shows during my late high-school/early college days, so I was banking, sometimes, over 50 episodes over a weekend. Sometimes I'd even skip a week worth of college classes, during which I marathon HxH and Fairy Tail - yes, nearly 300 episodes over the course of 5-7 days. Talk about a long grind man.

also this is SO FUKIN true.
i mean 70% of OP is slow paced crap that i skimmed.
naruto is full of filler
bleach is PRACTICALLY filler
fairy tail .... what can i even say about this anime =_=
the only thing that i can think of that is really worth watching is HxH and FMA and FMAB.
people have said to enjoy dctr. gray man too.

All longest series are impossible too watch in normal way now imo maybe before as we are younger.

Because reasons like you can go back watch 10 episodes(sometimes whole arc) of old dbz with literaly nothing major happening yet , plot like that could fit in like 2-3 episodes of normal paced/number of episode anime.

At least it is the case with me anyway, from highest interest it can turn into nothing if you drag it long.

Nobody is forcing you to watch every top anime. There is no guarantee you'll even like them. Choose those that you feel will be most interesting for you. And you can easily drop an anime after watching just few episodes.

I don't possibly have the time nor desire to watch shows as long as they are. They aren't essential viewing, nothing is, so it doesn't matter.

I've encountered them though and they didn't appear to be my kind of thing.

I also wouldn't call them the "top" anime, it kinda implies that they are the best anime has to offer and that they must be viewed by anyone who likes anime.

They are just well known, popular, long running shows.

Well, like basically everyone else is saying, have some free time, ears and preferably a pair of eyes, and just have fun with it. I know seeing all of these anime you want to watch and seeing how many episodes there are can be overwhelming, but if you just watch what you want to watch when you want to watch it, then it shouldn't be very hard. Watching a series isn't a race or anything. I watched all of Gintama from start to the newest episode of the currently airing season in a few months while my friend took more than a year to finish the first series. You'll finish them all eventually if you really want to. You really don't need a formula of exactly to watch them. If you're bored or have some free time, just sit down and watch a couple episodes. Watch them on your phone in the car (if you're not the driver, preferably). I just take one finished series at a time while watching my currently airing anime. It gets me through the week. ^^

I've been thinking about this too. I've been seriously considering watching one of the long running still airing animes and wasn't sure if I could do it. But then I realized that I had watched all of fma (original) and 80 episodes og hxh in a month and a half. And thats with a full time job and when I run out of data on my phone I can only watch them when I go someplace with wifi...even still I've watched that much in a month and a half.
