THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Pretty slow episode with a lot of info dumping related to Neighbor and their world map. I should of expected this after the recent momentum of the series. It was nice to know this though since this also relates to Yugo as well. Kinda meh overall but some good reflection of the recent events from Osamu's point of view. And the Black Trigger still remains a mystery of this series. Dat cliffhanger though. |

Replica sure provided tons of info about Neighborhood and its countries. Both Aftokrator and Kion seems quite formidable. Nice seeing how Kuga humbly turned down Shinoda's offer of official agent promotion. Indeed, many people won't take it well because he's a neighbor. Much respect for the guy. Shuji knows he wants to get his hands on the Fujin. Why is acting like a bitch for? Well, Jin's side effect predicted that he'll save Osamu so it's all good. I almost forgot about Kuga's real body in the ring until Osamu brought it up. That could actually be a critical issue in the long run. Izuho is kinda cute, though not so sure about her voice. Why does everyone ship Osamu X Chika? Kuga X Chika should it be! Decent episode. Looks like the Neighbors started their invasion. Next week's battles should be awesome! |

Solid episode, with some good backstory. Looks like next ep is when things really heat up though. Looks like Kuga is going to join the fight with his Black Trigger, despite not being an official agent yet. I suspect that's going to get him into trouble down the line. I also wonder how Kuga can keep using his Trion body all the time -- everyone else seems to need to rest theirs between combats. Still, there do seem to be ways to generate arbitrarily large amounts of Trion in this world (eg. the HQ building itself and the training chambers that don't let you run out of it) so perhaps Replica or his black trigger help with that. Does suggest that he might be really in trouble if he's hurt during a fight though. |

Am I the only Osamu x Yuma shipper? :( I'm excited for this arc, though I don't know how it will affect their trio's advancement to B and A rank. The necessary team battles will be on hold due to the invasion; maybe they'll be able to get 'points' from fighting real Neighbors / Trion soldiers instead? Though real combat is more dangerous than Border training ... At any rate, the invasion (at least so far) seems to muck up the mock fights between Border agents that I had expected; I guess we'll see if their ranks advance somehow during this invasion, or if that will be afterward. Maybe they'll be rewarded/advanced _afterward_ based on what they did during the invasion? Though Yuma and Chika are C-rank and aren't allowed to fight other than helping evacuation/rescue ... |

Showing the map that neighbor guy's father drawn by experiencing all of them. Though it's info. from 7 years ago, it's still surprising (black trigger). The sniper girl has a friend, that's nice. Their higher-up, also neighbor guy's father's friend, offered for recommending rank up, but neighbor guy decided to reject it. Oh, his goal is his father's black trigger. Nakamura-san's character asking for help in returns for recommending future owner of his black trigger. Back to school and the main guy's on topic. The friend is introduced to them. Level C's rule is changed because of that incident with main guy and neighbor guy. Wow, too many enemies. Chibi explanation is serious this time (unlike the usual). A lot of World Building this episode, but it's nessecary for whats coming. And not just the Invasion Arc. 4 possible enemies, narrowed down to 2 by process of elimination. (only two use the Ilgars.) The attack should be Trion Soldiers supported by a handful of Humanoids, with maybe 1 Black Trigger. Kion has 6 Black Triggers, Aftokrator has 13, but this info is 7 years old. Jin asks Miwa a favor, save Osamu during the invasion. Offering the Fugin to him. Director Shinoda offers to promote Yuma to B-Rank, but he declines. Finally, Osamu and company return to school, where he's congratulated on his promotion to B-Rank. Being Osamu, he's uncomfortable with the attention. Could have done without the Osamu/Chika shipping. I perfer Osamu/Kitora. The invasion starts, the sky turns black and 40+ gates are opening. All agents are called in to face the threat. Over all, this was a good episode. The action is going to kick it up quite a bit in the coming episodes. |
Summoning Dark: "What kind of human creates his own policeman?" Watcman: "One who fears the dark." "And so he should," said the enity, with satisfaction. "Indeed. But I think you misunderstand. I am not here to keep the darkness out. I'm here to keep it in." There was a clink of metal as the shadowy watchman lifted a dark lantern and opened it's little door. Orange light cut through the blackness. "Call me . . . the Guarding Dark. Imagine how strong I must be." |

She'll be a great friend to Chika. <3 Lolz, I guess everyone in-anime/manga "ships" Osamu X Chika because Osamu is so overprotective of Chika despite not being related to her. Plus the "childhood friend" route of theirs. XDDD But yeah, I also ship the chibi ship. ;D I was actually surprised, just like in the manga, that the Invasion began so quickly. I read that the "new arc" would begin at May 29 and yet next week we already gonna see the new Trion soldiers, the rabbits. Not to talk about all the new agents we gonna see who will play important roles in the B rank wars and such. I hope Toei really put a lot of money in the animations for the battles in this arc, some of them were really great in the manga! >.< Mirality said: Solid episode, with some good backstory. Does suggest that he might be really in trouble if he's hurt during a fight though. Obviously, Kuga will get in trouble for using his BT. But then again I really like how unlike the usual MCs he doesn't start with his weakest attacks/weapons but uses RIGHT FROM THE START his black trigger, a special unique weapon that can handle several elite agents on its own! Usually we would have like 3-5 episodes with the MC shouting, talking, jumping around and having some sword clashes with the enemy before he uses his demon form, Bankai, super sayajn mode, heating up body for ultra hits, etc and etc. Yuuma is like "nope, full power on the slightest sight of danger". Awesome! I think Kuga either has also a large amount of trion which allows his trion body to remain 24/7 or his father created a special kind of trion consum BT that keeps him alive and moving with a new body with a minimal amount of trion. As for the Trion, a very important ressource indeed as it can be both energy AND a building material, I have the theory that Border uses the same methode the little Rad trion soldiers used to create warp gates: They "gather" little amount of trion from other people without them noticing. So basically Border receives "Trion taxes" from the people they protect in Mikado city, although most of them have probably no idea that that is happening. I think that is also the reason why Border wants so many people to stay in a city that got ahuge warzone inside it. They need those people to keep their trion based warmachinery alive. Once too many people leave Border and thus the area Border can gather trion ressources from them, Border is without trion to supply its training rooms and to build new weapons or repair holes in their HQ walls or fuel their expedition ship/s. So I can see why PR is so important to Border, they need to keep those people inside to protect them from enemies despite it being safer to have those people leave such a dangerous area. They are lots of Yuuma X Osamu shippers, you will find tons of doujinshis shipping those two, believe me, I saw way too many of them in my search of a WT hetero shipping doujinshi. XDDD Yeah, you probably get points for rescuing people, defending and holding areas for a lot of time and ofc destroying Trion soldiers. The rank wars in the manga so far are pretty cool and interesting to read, you'd think that "normal" agents aka B agents aren't all that interesting in their fights but quite some of them are actually really good. Even Yuuma has a hard time there.^^ Yuuma will fight in this invasion with his BT, ignoring Border rules. Chika will use her trigger is in need of defend and given her huge trion she got she will surely become a target of the invading nation. She's way too good to leave out in a raid. " If we're lucky then the new OP might start with the begin of April. I hope for this arc it is a bit more "war-like". AAA make good OPs though so I have my hopes for them. :) Bluepedal said: I didn't even bother watching this episode, overall the anime has proved disappointing and very predictable. I've decided to drop this anime, it's pretty much average, the only thing I like really is the Opening. That's a shame given this episode is basically the interlude to a new and very big arc that will easily have 20-24 episodes on its own. You might wanna watch the next 2-3 episodes, at least till they have shown the new OP, to see if you still dislike it or if you like the more war aspect in World Trigger. :) Izanagi777 said: Great episode. Yuuma will definetely fight, not with the Border trigger but his own though. That will get him in trouble for sure, but I like how he has no problem with that whatsoever. Better using all of your power from the start, then using a weak trigger you are unfamillar with and regret it later after losing a battle. And Chika is allowed to fight if she's attacked or has to rescue/protect people. So C-agents basically all got a "weapon use promotion" which raised their status from "students who needs to be protected in a crisis" to "recruits who can fight for themselves if they find themselves in a crisis". I liked this episode overall. Can't wait for Osamu, Yuuma and Chika to reach A rank and get on expeditions in the neighborhood. <3 |

In one of the early episodes, Shiori measured Chika's trion and said it's on the level of a black trigger. From this we can conjecture that, besides Yuuma's own trion, there is probably also a lot of trion in his black trigger to fuel his seals and the trion body he's always in. KilluaPwns said: Am I the only Osamu x Yuma shipper? :( I ship it! There are probably others who do so on Tumblr, where you get more m/m shippers, but this fandom is still pretty small. It's very popular in Japan/on Pixiv, one of the biggest ships probably. This episode made me really nostalgic for back when I was one of the people who believed Miwa's scarf was a present from his sister because that's such a cliche. Now its more like: Miwa is probably just a stylish young man who likes scarves. |

It seems that this new arc "beginning" is not when the invasion starts but when things start going to hell for Border :). Also, Toei wants to showcase the new characters in the op, so this scheduling will allow plot important new characters to appear just before the op, keeping the op spoiler free. About Yuuma, his dad's trigger is definitely what's powering his current body, which is why he got his dad's side effect. I believe Author's Q&A session says that trion capacity depends on healthy body, especially lungs. Yuuma, a with dying body and once punctured lung, should generate little trion on his own. That is, assuming his background story is true. This is a series with memory modification technology widely available after all. |

I even thought that both yuma and chika will get their promotion first before this invasion. Yeah, i know yuma will fight for sure, he's frickin strong after all with dat black trigger (although that one country have 13 black triggers users :/). As for chika, i also hope she can beat at least one important enemy although maybe she won't be able to do that since she still using that training trigger? I usually hate shounens, especially ones like: Naruto, Bleach, DBZ, One Piece, etc. But for some reason this anime has managed to keep me interested. Nothing so far seems terribly drawn out, immediately boring, or loaded with asspull power-ups. Or if it has, it's managed to be unnoticeable to me, which could also be a good sign. Also, from what I see in the forums here, apparently it only gets more interesting. Keep up the good work World Trigger! |

So... Are Earthlings technically neighbors?? Or do they bypass that classification as they are effectively the ¨sun" in "neighborhood" (solar system). Yugo is effectively Border Intelligence x10... yikes, that should be depressing for them. Invasion time, they were able to keep the gates opening within the forbidden zone, but damn. Replica and Yuma know also the way Kido worded, he might kill. He must really bloody hate Yugo (my guess is intense jealousy). Luckily Osamu and friends fixed a major flaw in the regulations so now C-Ranks can use for evacuation and rescue, which sounds like a no-brainer allowance but as we saw... Now... will Chika and Yuma break the rules, both of them are game-changers. I really like these guys, they are realistic, intelligent, and in no unrealistic rush. Yes their objectives are technically time-sensitive, but brute forcing will solve nothing. 4/5 |
