I'm at the point where I've watched/are aware of all shows/movies that interest me already :$... (On my animelist)

So, I'd also like to hear your hidden gems because I know opinions on anime can be very subjective. By that I mean mix/underrated shows that venture unconventional settings/plots. Dynamic characters with depth is ++ but it isn't a must.

Guess the main point is that this is open to any genres, as it is a joy to venture out of my preference zone, and find a engrossing anime regardless.

Thanks a bunch in advance!

+Kyousou Giga - I'm watching this and I'm loving
Bakemonogatari
Paranoia Agent
Tatami Galaxy - maybe my fave evur
Barakamon - I dont know how someone can hate this show. It's just..... ♥♥♥♥
Shinigami no Ballad - a really short show, not a great character development, but the stories are lovely
Ikkitousen - if fan service and ecchi could ruin a show, that's an enormous example. The plot is really interesting, tho

Try El Cazador de la Bruja. It's about a female bounty hunter and a young witch traveling through South America. The first half is fairly episodic as Nadie and Ellis get to know each other, while the second half starts to delve into the plot and mysteries.

@ Eletrophonic
I'n actually watching both Tatami Galaxy (unique art/way the story unfolds and the college setting=+++) and Barakamon (the dyanmic between Seishuu and Naru is too adorable for words~) Will check out Paranoia Agent, thanks!

@retrogamer32x
As long as it's streamable on the internet older anime would be great. (Would be great exposure to diff anime.)

@rubylily Will check out Try El Cazador de la Bruja, thanks!

@Remv_quevav
Guess we have similar taste :). I'm already planning to watch Steins Gate and
will check out Ghost hound, Eccentric family, Texhnolyze and, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei.
Thanks for that whole list!

@8oomer ohh will check out Samurai X: Trust & Betrayal (have watched Rurouni Kenshin way back.) Definitely intriguied by So Ra No Wo's trailer and synopsis, thanks!

@im4eversmart I've actually dropped Donten ni Warau after the first episode but since you say it induces the feels, will give it another chance. (emotional anime is +++!) Thanks!

Noein: Mou Hitori no Kimi e. One of the best sci-fi anime I've seen in a while. It's quite similar to Steins;Gate as far as the time travel aspect is concerned, but on a much bigger scale. The art style can take some time to get used to, though.

In the fantasy adventure genre of anime, "Sands of Destruction" is often overlooked.

I have not seen the English dub, but since it was done FUNimation relatively recently I'm sure it is of good quality.

Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE! - although this is still ongoing i lovvee thud anime. Looking at yhe cover i thought it was going to be really bad and stupid but it is actually holarious. One of tge few comedy animes which I actually laugh and not the others where I like fake laugh

The 'kono danshi' series - I love every single one of them. Beautiful

Natsuyuki Rendezvous - you dont hear much about this series, but it is really good. (I watched this after veing tired of the highschool orientated scene which most animes are set in. So the maturity and depth to yhe characters were a mich needed brrath if fresh air. However, its not to say tht everything is all serious. It is actually quite light and funny sort of like a romance drama movie and not so much an anime). really nice

Otona Joshi no Anime Time - a compolation of short stories following the lives of different women ranging from mid 20s to about mid 40s as the reminis on their life. I didnt expect to like it as much as i did, but i did. Especially the 2nd last story which was holarious

Switch - such a good anime. Sort of reminds me of death note in its drawing and setting. Really insteresting thriller sort of anime with hints of bl which i always welcone with open arms.

Zetman - a rarely talked about action anime which was pretty decent imo

Hybrid Child - i think i cried/became teary eyed in all the episodes. I loved the relationshis between the various chsracters and alao how real they were.

Shinrei tantei yakumo - supernatural mystery starting univetsity students. (Another breath of fresh air)

Samurai flamenco - about a guy who wants to be a real life superhero. This was another one which I thought would not be that interesting but I was pleadantly surprised. Plus the strong bromance was perfection

@Vhailor Noein's time travel premise is intriuging and, really like how it's supposidly "character-driven"Not concenred about the art, sometimes it's substance>>style :). Thanks!

@StevenHu Haven't watched many game adaptions so thanks for the Sands of Destruction rec. Np the original japanese voice acting is always preferable to me.

@mr_chang Yes, will finishe watching Tatami galaxy (The Ed song reminded me of how catchy a song it is) and start on SEL+ Texhnolyze in the future. Thanks

Have 10+ shows to checks out after I make some freetime. So, thanks a bunch for the recs guys ^^~

@Ahrielle01
I loved Natsuyuki Rendezvous and Otona Joshi no Anime Time too XD (As a girl, think I'm wired to like josei animes haha.) Glad someone else liked Zetman, wish they had more episodes to really flesh out the story don't you think? I'm currently watching Shinrei tantei yakumo. Samurai flamenco was a really good watch until the power-ranger like arc. Is the ending decent?
Whoa never new Kono Danshi, Hybrid Child, or Switch, existed exicited to check them out, thanks for the diverse and list~

@ retrogamer32x
This is like a field of potentional gems! The art style of older anime is oddly refreshing too.
Casshern Sins is one of my favs too, watched it 2x. Yay for more people giving the show attention. Ozma, that so neat it's recent but old school, with only 6 episodes, definatly seems worth a watch. Green Legend Ran, the media nowadays doesn't seem to give a lot of thought to enviromental pollution so the theme +++. Angel's Egg, watched it before but will try again to try and understand it's depth. Have a hunch Memories will be epic too.
Thanks a bunch for the awesome and detailed list, will carefully look though them~

@Harrymanhunter Watched the trailer for Planetes=Yes! Thanks~

Nobunaga Concerto - Different than the norm animation. Pretty cool. Fun Fact! There's also a live drama of this (basically a TV show with real ppl). I'd recommend that over the anime but both are enjoyable.

Spice and Wolf is amazing and completely unique compared to any other anime I've watched.

I guess some more obscure ones would have to be.
Good Luck Girl!

Although these last 3 are comedy series they are still quite enjoyable depending on your kind of humor.

Hajime no Ippo, It's an old anime, but I've just found it about two months ago and I love it to death

Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu Ka, I thought this was just another generic CGDCT show... but no....this masterpiece has an unparalleled relaxing-effect level

Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, I never thought this anime could make me laugh so hard. I usually don't do it when watching anime.

The Selector WIXOSS series, this series really deserves more praise and recognition, I feel they got everything right. Though I wanted a third season... there probably wasn't enough sales to continue.

Kuroshitsuji/Black Butler: Book of Circus, though black butler is a pretty popular series, i don't think this one gets enough recognition...

Junketsu no Maria constantly surprises me on how good the story, characters, etc. are. Props to the manga writer/anime director.

Kaiba- A story about an amnesiac man traveling space in a land where memories can be given, taken, bough, and sold. Very melancholy and poignant.

The Eccentric Family- A family of shape shifting tanuki go about their daily lives as they all try to cope with the death of their father. Very quiet but visually beautiful.

Hare+Guu- In the jungle a little girl who can eat and spit up anything messes with a little boy. Hilarious and surreal.

One Week Friends- A boy tries to befriends a girl who can only retain the memories of her friends for a week. Its really adorable and sweet.
