Yeah, marineford was cool. The last great one piece arc. Fishman island and punk hazard aren`t as great. Dressrosa was a surprise in a good way.

Marineford arc really got me all emotional with luffy's determination to save his brother, ace, to the point where he would go way beyond his limits even risking his lifespan!leading to luffy's past brings out all the tears as well seeing what all three of them have been through together as brothers! Marineford, that's why they call it WAR OF THE BEST.

but Dressrosa is very good too, the Manga it is, but the anime not yet, if there are people who already fall in love to Dressrosa arc in the anime, well prepare to get shock from future event.

Marineford is my 2nd favourite. but i think water7 & enies lobby had the perfect mix of adventure/fights/plot

Water 7 for me even if there are a bit too many chapters where nothing happens during the Enies Lobby part.

Alabasta, Jaya and Marineford were really cool too.

It's pretty difficult for me to chose a favorite arc. Almost all of them had very enjoyable parts/elements to them.

I loved Sabody (1st trip to Sabody with supernova shit + Raleigh + Celestial Dragons + Pacifistas + Kizaru+ Kuma) and Arlong Park. Each were my favorite arc when I had only reached those arcs in the anime (and not read/watched anything beyond them).

But more recently, I thoroughly enjoyed the whole Impel down-marineford-luffy flashback arc. If you could treat all that as a whole it would probably be my favorite so far. Its like the Rising Action, Climax, and Falling Action of one arc if you can think of it that way.

I think Water 7/Enes Lobby is a little overrated. It tends to be most One Piece fans' favorite arc it seems. I thought it was fun for the most part (specially Robin's flashback and Luffy vs Lucci) but still too many other arcs I enjoyed more.

Dressrossa has been very good (Far and away best arc of the New World so far, Fishman Island + Punk Hazard don't even come close as they were riddled with serious flaws to me), because its feels unique, fun, introduces a lot of interesting and important characters, and most importantly
But it could be amazing if not for

The post Marineford arc. I view One Piece more as a whole journey than as separate arcs and that arc really drove it home or brings together what they've been through on their journey and how close they've grown. Starting off with the much needed flashback of Ace and Luffy's childhood. It went to show the crew, how they were dealing with being separated and what happened at the war. Reflected on what the journey and what Luffy means to them and what they're going to do to better themselves to achieve theirs and Luffy's goal.
It also showed the potential of the story and things promised later. Meeting Shanks, the rio poneglyph, the waiting adventures, etc.

I voted for Skypiea and I am so glad to see that a lot of people agree with me!
I think it was one of the most shonen arc of this manga. I really enjoyed it.

I would have gone with Dressorsa cause it's an epic arc, but all these filler with sidefights and sidestory is just killing the climax D:

Another for Water 7/Ennies Lobby from me. I didn't actually start reading and catch up to One Piece until they met the Flying Fish Riders, so that whole arc was wonderful to read through at once.
That being said, I love Dressrosa so far. I know a lot of people are frustrated by how much it jumps around, but I think it's needed for the scope. Can't wait to read it through once it's actually finished, too. Reading One Piece in volumes always feels better when so much is happening.

Water 7/Enies Lobby is a bit overrated. Remember the thing with Foxy in the beginning? Yeah, it was fun, but all we got out of it in the end was meeting Aokiji. The whole thing was 20 chapters. And the bloat didn't stop there. The whole thing was around 30 chapters longer than the entire Summit War saga. That's Saobody, Amazon Lily, Impel Down, Marineford and the post-war arc as well. It was very good, and Luffy vs Lucci is the best 1-on-1 fight in the series, [Edit: Forgot about Luffy vs Arlong. That one could be better.] but there were flaws that people tend to ignore.

Worst arc is Fishman Island, by far. So, so bad.

Harder to say what the best arc was. Maybe Arlong Park? Been a while since I read it.

Hmmm... for me it's Impel Down. Dressrosa is my second fav. It had probably been my favourite if it wasn't so dragged out (especially in the anime).
But there's a lot of good arcs in One Piece :)

Definitely Water 7/Enies Lobby. Impel Down and Marineford were great too. Pre-timeskip OP was just great in general. Hopefully current OP will come something close to that sooner rather than later. If they reach 70% of Water 7/Enies Lobby quality then great, if more than that, even better!

Really difficult: East Blue, Marinefort, Enies Lobby. The other arcs up to Marinefort were mostly good as well though. Everything after Marinefort - not so much.
Unfortunately I keep getting underwhelmed and OP is rarely meeting my expectations anymore, let alone exceeding them.
Dressrosa is pretty decent again, but it really dragged on here and then...
What really dissapointed me was Fishman Island though and by now it's much better again.
I will have to wait how Dressrosa turns out, it could still become an awesome arc.

I too feel Water 7 & Ennies Lobby arc is overrated. I mean, it's very good but has its flaws, especially at the beginning. While there are brilliant moments (like the CP9 reveal), the whole assasination plot is confusing and the first encounter with CP9 is too one-sided (Luffy could have been killed twice with little effort). As the story progress, however, both the plotlines and the Straw Hats get stronger.

I rather choose Marineford arc because IMO it's an excellent synthesis of the first half of One Piece. Also for its non-stop action and, yeah, for having tons of fanservice despite the chaos (it's a war, after all). I bet there will be a similar gathering of superpowered people in the future.

Arlong Park blows every single other OP arc out of the water. There was no bullshitting back then. And after the time-skip, absolutely none of the arcs has been anything above average.

Quoting the truth.

Even before the time skip the Thriller Bark arc or the later half of the Water 7 arc were very dry and dull.
I sometimes watch chinese cartoons/stuff and share unsolicited opinions.

This was SO tough! Picked Alabasta because of Vivi and Baroque Works, but I have many other favorites. Loved Thriller Bark's humor and spookiness, and I loved Amazon Lily for Hancock and other strong females. Marineford was very emotional too.

I honestly thought Water 7 and Dressrosa were too drawn out to be my favorites. I love that Water 7 is centered on Robin, but still. Punk Hazard and Fishman Island weren't my favorites either, but at least they were short, and Fishman Island has a great message!

Tough choice, but the Alabasta arc has somehow always been my favourite and the most nostalgic

But all the other arcs pre timeskip are also incredible

Honorable mention to the Punk Hazard arc, just because it has my 2 favourite characters in it (Smoker and Law)

Water 7/ enies lobby

I mean from luffy vs ussop, to robin's backstory, to the stare down between the strawhats and CP9, to luffy vs lucci, to the death of the merry. It literally had some of the best moments for any strawhats, as much as I like marineford and cared for ace and whitebeard, none of their moments compared to luffy's struggle fighting one of his best friends, to ussop not being able to let go of the merry, to robin's pain and her finally accepting to live, to ussop crying his heart out at luffy to get up and the merry's last words, there is just no contest.

Can’t believe Oda managed to make such a diverse cast with 85 children, really shows how creative he can be.Plus,Katakuri absolutely deserves the hype he gets,a badass that has a soft side. The rest of the family were really entertaining to watch as well.Wholecake island is my candidate for best and most underrated arc.

Dressrosa was phenomenal. I'm only 34 or so chapters into Wano, but it's already a close second to Dressrosa. The timeskip has been phenomenal all around in my opinion, and much as I love the pre-timeskip, I love the timeskip way, way more.
