| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- This is beautiful. It's like the pure essence of nature this episode with Birk and Ronja by themselves. Music wise, it served as a sort of wake-up call as they are more independent now. Some funny critters aside, the episode also saw Ronja use a bit of archery. Not bad. And that ending...the feels. |

| Every second was a joy to watch. Who knew grey dwarves could be so funny? And Ronja clinging to Birk like that... <3 All throughout, I couldn't help but see them as newly-weds arranging their new home. But the episode seemed to all but scream 'Take a good look at that knife, it will be important later!' And as usual the preview doesn't make us wait... :P The show's mostly back to being fun and laughs... except for the last few minutes. Matt crying a pool of tears in Ronia's dream makes a nice substitute for him riding out in the forest yelling (my guess, that's not in the book?) |

| This was quite the fun one. With them starting living in the cave and doing everything they can to make it a better home. From securing their perimeters to finding multiple food sources. It was nice to see them gathering the berries and setting up the net for fishes. Hearing the noises from the cave gave quite the tense situation! Those last two grey dwarves, especially that last one walking so nonchalantly it jumps down. The last few are always the more peculiar ones! Ronja and Birk being really skillful in their activities. It was nice seeing Ronja worrying about how her parents feel. The dream took me by surprise and made me shed a tear. It really would be a lie if both parties aren't sad from this event... Knowing that he is sad, wanting him to be sad, yet wanting to stay oblivious and thus stubborn to the fact. It really was quite the nice portrayal though. Losing the knife next episode, the first conflict in their relationship! They are close enough to fight ^^ |

| Just pure nature and scavenging in this episode, it felt quite relaxing. All that "the knife is the most precious thing we have" and "do not lose the knife" made it seem obvious that the next episode would be about that. |

| That ending :'( It made me really sad to see Mattis cry in Ronja's dream :/ i hope they're gonna look for Ronja & Birk.. and yeah, that knife flag was pretty obvious.. |

| Welp. Looks like they'll be having their first fight next episode. While this episide was all happy and cheerful(except for Ronja's dream), it's probably all downhill from here. |

The intense and unresolved fight with her father is enough for the poor girl, she needs somebody in her corner! |

| I dunno, it is probably nice to watch this because of beautiful backgrounds and heartwarming atmosphere but the actual story of this show feels almost too slow right now, I got bored. While this is probably slice of life in its purest form it's like nothing is really happening anymore. |
