I was wondering about this for a while, and it's not like I approve of violence, but why guys don't punch women in the face more often in anime?

| Because, well, it's just culturally less acceptable for a guy to punch a girl. Men are generally thought of as the stronger sex, and that they should protect the weaker sex, women. Any acts of a man physically harming a woman is usually seen as simply unacceptable and brute-like. Most of the time when a male character does hit a woman, said male is some sort of villain or antagonist, and the action is preformed to establish how bad the bad guy really is. I'm not saying that I agree with the above cultural views, though. I do think that a lady should be hit for the same things a guy should be hit for and vice versa. Ideally, no one should be hit at all, but if you're going to do it, do it equally. |

| Comparing MtF violence in action or "serious drama" scenes to FtM violence in comedy scenes is kind of stupid. I'd rather irrational and annoying bratty cunts be cut out from anime entirely. Not doubled. Anime could do with less shitty characters. |

Women can punch guys but when or if the guy punches her back, he is then seen as a bad guy. I hate this. It is so double standard and hypocritical. |
