It's likely that he doesn't make another full length movie but I guess a few shorts here and there. Hopefully this will lead to the shorts in the Ghibli museum being finally aired in a DVD-BR compilation. Currently the main problem of Ghibli, though, is not whether Miyazaki retires or not, it is the lack of alternatives for the future. I hope they manage to re-structure the studio and give some chance to rising or even confirmed talents (I'm still waiting for a full-length project of Yoshiyuki Momose) instead of basically changing Miyazaki and Takahata for Goro and Yonebayashi. |
