Best Arc
| Since the final episode just aired, I deemed it appropriate to have one final arc poll to end all arc polls. My favorite is Yorknew City since it featured a likable cast of fleshed out villains, Kurapika's plan to take down the troupe was thrilling, Kurapika vs Uvogin, Zeno and Silva vs Chrollo, Chrollo's requiem, great pacing, and a thrilling plot. There was rarely a dull moment. It was pretty dark without being too dark, and for that it is a masterpiece.  Yorknew City > Hunter Exam > Heavens Arena > 13th Hunter Chairman Election > Zoldyck Family > Greed Island > Chimera Ant |

That being said though, my personal ranking is Chimera Ant 10/10 Yorknew 9/10 Chairman Election 8.5-9/10 Hunter Exams 8.5/10 Greed Island 8/10 Heaven's Arena 7.5/10 Zoldyck Family 6/10 For whatever it's worth the Dark Continent is also at an 8.5 for me atm, it's had the strongest start. |

| Aah, I hate to compare some of these arcs as they all have great and unique qualities, but here we go 1. Chimera Ant arc - The first part of the arc brought intensity unlike before, and the scene in ep. 85 is the most memorable moment for me in the whole series. I absolutely loved the cast that was introduced during the arc, Meruem, Komugi, Knuckle, Shoot, Royal Guards, and my favorite Morel. Though Killua's development is the most notable part in the arc, this is when I fell for his character. I cannot even put the rest in order >_> |

| It seems to me that Yorknew City is the most "beloved" of all the arcs. It has the second most amount of fans and it is ranked pretty highly on most lists, hardly ever rated low. Chimera Ant has the most number of fans in sheer quantity, however it is ranked pretty low, or last on a lot of lists, along with Zoldyck Family. |

| People are either: I like Chimera Ant Arc! or I hate Chimera Ant Arc! However, Yorknew is always 1st or 2nd on our lists lol. Chimera definitely has more flaws with it but I think it redeemed itself with the quality of some of the stories and character development. |

| I can't argue with you that people sometimes hate on something just for the sake of hating on something, because it is true. However there are a good amount of people that just happen to dislike Chimera Ant for legitimate reasons. Including some of the reasons mayukachan mentioned. |

| It's called "opinions". Other people would disagree with some of them and I don't see what's wrong with that. I personally didn't like that it's pacing (some episodes) and length and a lot of stuff could have been cut out without losing any of its quality. It could have preserved the main portions of it. Reason why Yorknew is so liked by everyone is that there wasn't much to complain about it and while Chimera was definitely more complex, it had some stuff that was not necessary. I think it could have been cut into 40ish episodes. |

| The show evolved throughout its entirety imo. It went from a generic shounen beginning (designed as such) to one of the most detailed, well constructed, and interesting anime out there. To say one of the earlier arcs was much worse than the later arcs is to say that this show would be just a great without the generic shounen beginning... without that beginning the show wouldn't have been the same (there wouldn't be that evolution over the course of the show.) Although perhaps that is taking it to an extreme. In any case, as anyone can see from what I've said... fuck it any scene with Hisoka was incredible. |

Actually, Heaven's Arena ranks the most after those 2, then typically Hunter Exams. It had its moments, but the antagonist was forgettable, too much time was spent on exposition, a lot of the secondary characters were uninteresting and forgettable as well. Not to mention is followed arguably the best arc in the series. |

| I must admit I'm surprised to see how Hunter Exam is doing. Yorknew and Chimera were a given, but I thought Hunter Exam would come in 3rd. Oh well I still love Heaven's Arena arc. |

Basically is about a giant ant who poops out ridiculous insectoid animals with higher power level than any other character. That just doesn't make sense, like why a stupid ant who was just born is already be stronger than any other character...? Logic not found. |

| Yorknew. Every fight was just so exciting. I couldn't stop watching. Chimera Ant was meaningful, but there were just so many changes plot-wise, like the loss of Gon's innocence. I sometimes felt it was over-analyzed, and it didn't have the classic feeling of other arcs. I do have a special place in my heart for the Zoldyck Family arc, though. Loved that desperate feeling of wanting to save Killua, and really delving into that family of assassins for the first time. I'm surprised it's nobody's favorite. |
